Amber's POV.

I don't like how all these people know about Rebecca. Out of all these humans, the only one I want to be anywhere near Rebecca is the old lady named Rebecca that took care of her for who knows how long.

She obviously meant a lot to Rebecca since she made the decision to name herself after her. That lady was the one who freed her anyway and made it possible for us to have found her. I want to thank her in person and offer her a place in my pack if she wants it.

Jane has been telling me how the groups work in the werewolf hunter group. " They tend to send out two groups at a time. One as backup and the main attack force. We are armed up to our teeth in weapons of all kinds and are prepared for anything. They even put us through training courses to learn how to fight before sending us out on our first mission. " said Jane.

" Seems like this group has been around for quite some time. " I said.

" I did talk to one of the bosses and she told me that this group of werewolf hunters has been around for almost fifty years. " said Jane.

" Goodness, where have they been all this time?" I ask.

" They have traveled all around the world and are funded by a rich family so when they crossed over into the United States they had private jets. They've been traveling all around the United States for the past ten years. " said Jane.

" Which would explain how they got their hands on Rebecca. She's been raised by them since she was little thing. " I said.

" It would also explain why she can speak English instead of any other language. " added Jane.

" Exactly. Do you know what brought them close to where we live?" I ask.

" They have teams set up that go through different Facebook accounts that are filled with people who claim to have seen werewolves before or known them personally. They research all they can before sending down four teams to the state the most werewolf sighting have seen. They spread out and lie in wait for any sign of werewolves. If they happen to see something they think is a clear sighting, another team joins them and they go in closer until they know for sure. " said Jane.

" So what you're telling me is I'm basically dealing with four groups and now that I have captured the first group the second group is closing in or has called for backup?" I ask.

" Essentially, yes. " said Jane.

" Wonderful. " I groan sarcastically.

" I can tell you what they plan on doing next if that will help you more." She said.

" Anything you could possibly tell me will be a big help. " I said.

" Ok, so, the second group was sent in to send a message which would be why your pack house was ransacked. They want you to know that they've been there and have managed to get passed your guards without anyone's knowledge. " said Jane.

" So they are sending me a threat to let me know just how dangerous they really are?" I ask.

" Yes. I can assure you that they weren't planning on losing that little girl. She was there means of knowing were the werewolves close by were since she could sense their minds when they're within a certain range. With her in your care they have no choice but to call in for backup from the last two teams. Which means now they are planning a wide scale attack which by my count should happen sometime within the next two to three days. " said Jane.

A small spark of panic flares through me. " How many people are there per team?" I ask.

" They can range from ten like my group was to almost thirty per group. The second group that was with us for backup had twelve members. I'm not sure how many members the other two groups have. " said Jane.

" Ok. If this attack is set to happen sometime soon. I'm going to make sure you and your kids are kept safe in the pack house. They'll be aiming for the prison so as to free the others, which means if I leave Conan here by himself then he's going to be targeted. I'll have to schedule his court dates for the next few days until then and we have holding cells in this place for long trials. So it won't come as a shock to the other humans as to why he's gone for so long. " I said.

" That sounds wonderful. Thank you for your protection. " said Jane.

" Thank you for all your help with this. They would catch us of guard if it wasn't for you. " I said.

She grinned. " Ok, so you mentioned you met one of the bosses. What was she like?" I ask.

" Right, so she's has long, straight black hair that leads down to her lower back. She had neatly trimmed bangs that hang over her blue eyes. She is the daughter of one of the founding members and is from Japanese heritage. She is very dangerous and her preferred weapon is a specially designed silver bladed katana which she is expertly trained to fight with. Her name is Yuki. She is 33 years old and has been trained to fight werewolves since she turned seven. " said Jane.

" Dang, she sounds very dangerous. " I said.

" She is who you will be dealing with next if this mission for these four teams fail. She will come with an army practically. " said Jane.

" So what you're saying is that by defeating these last three teams we are essentially proclaiming that we are starting a war with this huge group of werewolf hunters  " I said.

Jane sadly nodded. " Half of the group stayed at their home base on the outskirts of Tokyo, Japan. If this war is called they will send over half of the remaining members to help. " said Jane.

" What is your best guess into how many people we may be facing later?" I asked.

She looks so serious and frightened at the same time. " We're talking about hundreds of people Amber. They fight close combat and with traps and smoke bombs or paint bombs. It'll be a very hard battle and lives will be lost. " said Jane.

" What do you think would be my best bet in trying to stop this potential war?" I asked.

" You would need to defeat three of their leaders who are trained to fight just as well if not better then Yuki. Then they would know you mean business and you may be able to request a meeting with all the leaders to stop this war from continuing. " said Jane.

" Ok, I understand. Thank you Jane. " I said.

" Anything I could possibly do to help, you name it. " said Jane.

I nodded. " Right now I need to go get Conan out of his cell and get all three of us to the pack house. I will then create a mind link between myself and all the surrounding Alpha to either request help or to warn them in case this gets to close to their home pack. I will be connecting you to the mind link because I will need you to help me explain. " I said.

" Then let's get moving. " she said.

I nod and help her up out of the chair. I take off the cuffs around her wrists. " Wait, won't David realize you've been tricking him if he sees me free and you set Conan free so easily?" Asked Jane.

" I've thought about it and I've decided that this little interrogation tactic that we were trying to pull is not worth the lives of my pack members. I'll think of a way to interrogate David later into giving me answers. Even if I have to use force I will. " I said.

She nodded. I then walked her out of the interrogation room and down the hall. This is so much more serious than I ever thought this would be. I have to keep my pack safe. They come first above all else.

We walk back to where the humans were and I walk up to Conan's cell. He sees the look on my face and immediately knows something major is wrong.

" I need you in the packs meeting room immediately. This has gone on long enough. Let's get moving. " I said.

" Understood. " said Conan.

" Wait, so him being here was just a trick?" Asked the man across from where Jane had been.

" I told you to expect tricks. " growled Steve.

" Jane, why aren't you in a cell?" Asked one of the other girls.

" I don't have to explain myself to you guys anymore. " said Jane.

" It's because you've turned on us. You're working with them now, aren't you? Let me guess, they got your kids for you?" Asked David

Jane did t answer but that was all the answer David needed. " You will regret this Jane. I'll see to it that you do. "

" Good luck with that. " I said before I led them and the guards out of the prison and straight towards the pack house.

I walked in to see Connor with Rebecca at the kitchen counter downstairs on the first floor. He saw my face and was by my side in seconds.

" What happened?" He asked.

I pressed my forehead to his and shared my memories. His entire body stiffened up and a small gasp was heard from Rebecca. We looked at her to see she had dropped what she was holding and the bowl had shattered on the floor. The milk and cereal that had been in it now covered her bare feet and the ground around her.

I rushed over and picked her up before walking over to the closest chair. She was trembling in terror and seemed frozen. She must have used her powers to read my mind

" It's ok Rebecca. We will get a good handle on things. I won't let anyone near you. I promise. No one will hurt you. You'll be safe here. " I said as I continued to reassure her even as tears made an appearance and she ended up clutching onto me like a vine.

Jane was watching. She'd only seen Rebecca in passing but always felt bad for the kid. Rebecca and Kane locked eyes over my shoulder and Rebecca's eyes glowed.

Jane gasped and instantly fell to her knees beside us. " I'm so sorry little one. I never wanted to see you like that. I wanted to help you so badly. I was planning on a way yo free you but it seems your caretaker beat me to it. Can you forgive me for ever associating with those awful people?" Asked Jane.

Rebecca merely nodded and I continued to reassure her. Connor was cleaning up the mess on the ground and Jane set to cleaning the food off of her little feet. Once we were done I picked her up and we made our way to the pack meeting room.

Rebecca would be part of this meeting seeing as she was held captive by them for so long but only if she wants to help. We went and sat down. I started up the meeting with everyone and sent out a mind link.

" This is Luna Amber. I am sorry for the inconvenience of my mind link but something major has come up and I need to warn you all of the imposing danger that lies ahead. " I said.

It's time to handle this. It is time to prepare for war.
