Connor's POV.

As the time passed and the days went on we got to know these humans more. As the mornings came and went, more and more of them wanted to eat with us at the coffee shop.

Amber was happy to serve them and take care of them. Always making sure they had everything they needed. Then came the morning of the meeting. Yuki would be here soon with more humans by her side.

Amber had ordered everyone by keeping the pack in their houses and having the shops stay closed. She prepared the packs dining room for our meeting.

Rebecca will be by our side the entire time and won't go anywhere without one of us. We waited by the radio for the arrival of Yuki.

Some of the humans were already in the room making sure it was safe for them and were even taking to the guards. Their guns were left at the door. They were allowed one dagger to protect themselves but that was all the leeway Amber and I were giving them.

I'm actually a bit nervous. This is either going to go good or bad. If it goes bad, we are going to war with the humans, but if this goes good, we make a treaty with them and no one dies.

I am praying that this all goes good. We need some good after everything we've been through. I can feel my wolf agreeing with me. Finally after a while there was static on the radio and the Yuki's voice came loud and clear.

" I have entered your grounds. My people were waiting for me. There are five wolves around us. " she said.

Amber took the radio and talked back. " They mean you no harm. It is a common curtesy for any new or important person entering our pack to be escorted to the pack house to meet with the Alpha and Luna, which would be myself and my mate. They have wagons to give you all a ride to the pack house but you are always free to walk if you so wish. " said Amber.

" A wagon ride sounds lovely. Thank you Luna Amber. " said Yuki.

Amber and I walked outside and stood there with Rebecca hiding behind Amber.  " Are you two ladies ready for this?" I asked.

" I'm ready. " said Amber. She looked at Rebecca.

" I'm ready too. " she said.

" Good. " I responded. We waited for a good 15 minutes before the wagons came into view.

They pulled up in front of us and all the humans got out of the wagons and stepped onto the ground in front of us.

Yuki made a small bow. " It is an honor to meet you in person Luna Amber. " she said.

Amber smiled at her. " It's very nice to meet you too Yuki. "

Yuki stood up and looked at me. She then saw the other Alpha's waiting by the door. " You've surrounded yourself with strong people you can rely on. Very good. " she said.

" They mean you no harm unless you mean us harm. " I said.

" Understood. What are the rules upon entering your pack house?" She asked.

" We ask that you leave all weapons aside from a single dagger at the door upon walking in. Be kind to those around you and please, my people are on edge and I know yours are too. So let's try not to set each other off. " said Amber.

" I can work with those terms. " said Yuki.

Amber motioned for her to walk next to her and they entered the pack house together. Rebecca and I right behind them. The other humans and wolves followed us in and we all gathered in the meeting room and sat down on our sides of the table.

Once we were all seated everyone's eyes were looking around the room scanning their surroundings.

" I'd like to start this meeting by thanking you for showing up in person to meet with us today about this peace treaty. I know you all have your reasons for hating our kind but I thank you anyway for putting aside your hatred, even for just a little bit to hear us out. " said Amber.

" You're very kind Luna Amber. I understand you've had your problems with us humans as well. I've heard nothing but great things about how you've treated my friends during their stay here. Thank you for being so hospitable to them. " said Yuki.

" It was my pleasure. " said Amber with a smile. " And please, just call me Amber. "

" Now, who is the handsome man sitting next to you who's been keeping a very close eye on us since we arrived?" Asked Yuki.

Amber looked at me and I smiled sheepishly at her. She smiled fondly. " This is my mate and the Alpha of this pack. Alpha Connor. " she said.

" Alpha Connor. It is a pleasure to be meeting you as well. " said Yuki.

" As it is you. " I said.

" Have you written us the drafts for the terms you want in the peace treaty?" Asked Yuki.

" Yes I have. " said Amber. She looked at Tasha who passed her a small stack of paper.

Yuki brought out a small stack of her own and she and Amber swapped stacks and began to read them over.

As they read in silence I looked around and tried to see if any of the humans showed hostility. Clayton sent me a mind link.

' You need to relax Connor. You're too tense and can be seen as a threat. ' said Clayton.

I nodded and forced myself to sit back and released a calming breath. That seemed to put a few of the humans at ease. After reading the papers they laid them down in front of them.

" What are your thoughts on my terms Amber?" Asked Yuki.

" While I agree with most of your terms there are a few I simply cannot allow. " said Amber.

I took the papers and began to read over everything. " Please tel me the terms you don't agree with?" Asked Yuki.

" While most of your terms do agree to wrk together you have left out about a punishment given to David and his team for attacking my pack without proper cause. He violated my pack and could have killed some of us. I cannot let those actions slide. " said Amber.

" You agreed on freeing them to my command though, yes?" Asked Yuki.

" Yes, but I was under the impression they would receive punishment for their crimes. " said Amber.

" Just because it doesn't state it there does not mean they won't receive a punishment for what they've done. I assure you it will be dealt with swiftly. " said Yuki.

Amber hummed but nodded. I held up my hand before she could speak again. " Before we continue with this, I wish to ask you a question. " I said.

She looked at me but nodded. " These are very detailed terms. It seems to me like you have made a peace treaty with wolves before. I wish to know who this treaty was made with?" I asked.

She visibly stiffened up but instantly relaxed again. If I hadn't been paying attention I wouldn't have noticed. " Yes, we have made a treaty with another pack but after a brief discussion with my father the next time we see members of this pack the treaty is off. " she said firmly.

" Why is that?" I ask.

" Because the group we made a treaty with I am certain now was a pack of rogues. Once you explained to me what a rogue was I came to realize that they are all rogues. I don't do business with mindless creatures now that their boss is gone. " she said.

She then looked at Amber. " I was hoping to bring this up in an easier way. Turns out we had made a treaty with a rogue you know all to well. His name was Fenris. " she said.

All of us stiffened up and I let out a small growl. Amber placed her hand on mine. " It's ok Connor. Relax. He's dead. " she soothed me.

Yuki looked a bit confused. " We do know that rogue indeed. He nearly killed me, killed my old Alpha, kidnapped Connor and completely wiped his mind. I'm lucky to have him like he is now. " said Amber.

Yuki sighed. " I do apologize if bringing up his name brings back bad memories. You are smart for asking me those questions Alpha Connor. I am deeply sorry for what you must have went through. " she said.

" I apologize for growling. He did a lot of damage to me and my family. It's hard to hear about him and not get angry. " I said.

" I completely understand. " she said.

" Now back to the treaty at hand. I am curious why you left Rebecca out of everything. I thought for sure you would try to get her back. " I said.

" My father agreed with me that we no longer need her and she is free to live her life. " said Yuki.

Rebecca smiled. She tugged on Amber's sleeve. " She wants to know if she can thank you herself by using her power on you only so she can talk. " said Amber.

" That is alright. Go right ahead. " said Yuki.

Rebecca's eyes glowed green and Yuki smiled sweetly at her. " Well aren't you just the sweetest little thing. You are very welcome. Also. Remind me after this treaty making to tell you something important. I found out more about you and your mom and I'd like to tell you. " said Yuki.

Rebecca nodded furiously. Amber grinned. " That's great news. Thank you. " said Amber.

" Upon looking at the terms more, I see one term you have here that could potentially break the contract if it were to happen. " I said.

" Yes. If my people are to be hurt by your people at any time, the treaty is void and we are no longer a team. " said Yuki.

" See, I don't find that fair. What if they had to hurt your people in order to save your people? Would that still count as breaking the treaty?" I ask.

" No, I suppose it wouldn't. What would you suggest we do instead of automatically calling the treaty void?" She asked.

" What about a trial. This would go for both parties. If one of our wolves were to purposely or accidentally hurt one of your people or vice versa, we would hold a trial consisting of half the court as humans and the other half wolves and we would find out the truth behind the matter and decide then what to do with said attacker. That way we could try our best to keep the peace treaty without risk of breaching it right away on the first offense. " I said.

She looked at me thoughtfully. " You sure seem to know your stuff. You both are very intelligent for your age. I'm impressed. " she said.

" We are only trying our best. " said Amber.

" I admire that. Ok, I'll agree to the terms you have mentioned. A fair trial seems very reasonable. " said Yuki.

" Thank you very much. " said Amber.

She smiled. " Are there any other terms on my side you'd like to discuss?" She asked.

I looked at Amber. This meeting was definitely last us a long while.
