Amber's POV.

The first thing I notice once I get back to the pack house is that there is a huge stack of paperwork sitting on my kitchen table. Connor sits behind it with Alpha Conan off to the side.

The two of them are filling out all the paperwork I haven't been able to do in a few days due to all the craziness that's been occurring. It warms my heart to see them willing to do this for me.

Off to the side Rebecca is sitting down with a coloring book and seems to be enjoying herself. Tasha had left me to go check in on Clayton but said they'd be at the pack house later.

" Seems like we have a paperwork party going on here today. " I said.

Connor's head popped up over the mound of paper work and he offered a shy smile. " I hope you don't mind. I wanted to get a head start on this for you while you were away. " he said.

I have a loving look to him. " I don't mind one bit. In fact I'm ready to help out. Whatcha got for me?" I asked.

" Then plop yourself down and grab a stack. Together we will all have this done in no time. " he said confidently.

I laughed at his enthusiasm and sat down. I grabbed myself a stack and got to work. In the end I ended up turning on some music and we had ourselves a good time. Chatting away as we filled out everything. I could even hear Rebecca trying to sing along to some of the songs.

That makes me a little happier to know that her former captors at least let her listen to some music. So she wasn't completely shut off from society.

It took us into the late afternoon to finish all the paperwork. Once we were done we all sat back and sighed in relief. Rebecca then started to show us some of her finished drawings.

We all complimented her and then and it was adorable to see her little self preen from the praise. She was so happy. She then sat back and rubbed her eyes.

" I'm a bit tired too. What would you say to a small nap?" I asked her.

' A nap sounds nice.' She mumbled in our mind link.

I went and stood up. She held out her arms for me to pick her up and I instantly did. I nodded at the others before carrying her all the way to my lounge room. We settle down together in my big chair and I cover the two of us up and recline the chair.

She was asleep pretty quickly, curled into my side. I laid my head on hers and yawned before drifting off to sleep with her. It was a few hours later when I was woke up by Rebecca.

' Do you smell that?' She asked.

I took a big whiff of the scent in the air and it just about made my mouth water. Someone was cooking something and it smelt devine.

I smiled. " Seems like someone is cooking a good meal. Let's go see what's up. " I suggested.

She nodded and we got out of the chair and made our way back to the kitchen. Upon walking in there was no one around but once I checked inside the oven then was some type of casserole baking in there.

I explained it to her and she immediately perked up. " Miss Rebecca use to bring me homemade casseroles before. They were always so good. " she said.

" Looks like someone is awake and just in time for my homemade casserole. " said Rebecca's old caretaker at the door to the kitchen.

Rebecca practically jumped up and down in excitement. Her eyes glowed green. Her old caretaker laughed. " Yes, it's your absolute favorite. I kept tabs on which casserole I made that like you liked the best. " she said.

" Which kind?" I asked.

" This little one here happens to be a big fan of vegetables. So her favorite was my Green Bean Casserole. " she said.

Rebecca let out a little squeal of joy and clapped her hands. The older Rebecca walked over and used some hot odd to get the casserole out of the oven and onto the stove.

She turned off the oven and we gave it a few minutes to cook down before food was dishes out and the three of us sat down and started to eat.

The taste of the food was magnificent. I've never tasted a casserole made like this. It truly tasted devine. No wonder Rebecca loved it so much.

" This is really good. Where did you learn to cook like this?" I asked.

" I used to be a well known cook in a high class restaurant. I learned so many different recipes and dishes to make. Once I needed up with the humans werewolf hunter group I started to make my food for them as a way to contribute to them. I eventually started making them for this little one so she wouldn't go hungry. " she said.

" That's very interesting. Very kind of you too. " I said.

Rebecca soon finished her food and asked for seconds. I just grinned and watched as the two interacted. This has been a pretty good day. Soon I'll have that meeting with Yuki and things will hopefully turn out ok. I just hope they won't plan to attack us or deceive us in any type of way.

I gonna continue to have hope for humanity and werewolf kind. Hope that everyone can get along and not have to deal with war. I will do my best to make sure peace happen and that be that.
