Visiting Day. 

"Attention! If your family comes, I suggest not to get too attached. Faction before Blood." Steve shouts. 

I know my parents won't come, they can't, their gone. I get ready, to spend a day alone. 

"Beth!" Someone says as I walk to breakfast. I turn and see Tobias. 

"What?" I ask.

 "Follow me." He says and runs to a room, no, fear landscape room. 

"Why are we in fear landscape room?''

 "Beth, why are you like this? You know everything about Dauntless. The rooms, the technique."

 I shake my head. "I guess I was born to be Dauntless." I say.

 "No, wrong. Not even Dauntless-born are that good."

 "Yeah? Well you were! Four fears, that's it!" It slips my mouth, no, he'll find out.

 "How did you know that?" He asks. 

I don't answer, instead I run.

"For those who just came in I was explaining rankings." Tobias explains, he eyes me. He goes on, but I don't listen. "Here are your ranks." He hangs the board up for us to see.

I'm first.  My friends have pretty good ranks as well. I look at them, but Ben... He didn't do well. 

"Congrats!" We all say to each other. We laugh. There are only cuts, if you are really that bad. 

"You won't be cut." I say to Ben.

 He smiles. "I seriously hope I can do well in stage 2." He laughs. 

After we celebrate, we go back to dorms. I lay on my bed, it's almost over, I can tell Tobias soon. 

My eyes feel heavy, and I sleep

Suddenly I hear someone move. My eyes widen in the dark, a hand covers my mouth, another grabbing my wrist and tying them together, they drag me out the door. 

"HELP!" I scream in the hand.

 "Knock her out." A voice commands. 

I feel someone punch me in the jaw, hard, and the world darkens.
