"Alam mo ba ilang beses na akong pinipilit ni Mommy na magkaroon ng boyfriend?" tumatawang kong sabi habang nakatingin sa kisame. Nasa study table ko si Danger, inaasikaso 'yung thesis niya, habang ako nakahiga lang sa kama at nakabalot sa kumot.

Hindi siya lumilingon sa'kin pero nagsalita ulit ako. "Sa sobrang dami ng pilit sa'kin, malapit na niya akong i-arrange dati." Tinignan ko siya at nahuli ko siyang pasimpleng tumingin sa'kin pero binalik niya ang tingin niya sa ginagawa niya.

"Pero dati pa 'yun, alam ko namang hindi gagawin ni Mommy 'yun. Tsaka bata pa ako noon." pagdagdag ko. Tumayo ako para lapitan si Danger. Kanina pa ako nagsasalita pero wala man lang siyang ginawa kundi ipagpatuloy ang thesis niya.

Gusto ko lang naman magpalambing?!

Hinawi ko ang kamay niya mula sa pagtitipa sa laptop niya at umupo sa hita niya. Hindi siya nagreklamo pero kita ko ang pagod sa mata niya.

"Talk to me." malambing kong sabi habang sumasandal sa balikat niya. I only heard him growl in response. My hand was caressing his hair softly like how it is when wind touches it.

"Tatapusin ko lang 'tong thesis. Malapit na ako matapos." pagod niyang sabi bago ako bigyan ng mabilisang halik sa labi. Ngumuso ako dahil nabitin ako. Bumalik siya sa pagtipa pero huminto rin kaagad.

"Diyan ka na lang umupo. Mas nakagagana pa lang gumawa ng thesis kapag ganito." biro niya na ikinatuwa ko kaya pinisil ko ang pisngi niya.

While he was working, he gave me time to just stare at his imperfections. Everything was imperfect but he made it perfect. Magagawa ba kitang pakawalan kahit saglit lang?

I never thought I would love like thisㅡfierce and consuming. I was prone to love, but I didn't love like this because everything then was just taken lightly that I didn't even feel the pain.

And that what love isㅡpain. To love is to feel the wrath of pain along with its dripping tears.

Every now and then, all I do is nothing but get emotional. I get sad even at unwanted times and even when I'm just right beside him like now.

"Sa tingin mo, may mas better pa tayong makikita bukod sa'ting dalawa? 'Yung talagang mapapasabi tayo ng sila na 'yung the best?" I asked unknowingly. He stopped from detangling the ends of my hair and stood up a bit, making eye contact with me.

"Bakit? May plano ka pa bang maghanap?" His eyebrows furrowed, almost making one straight line.

"Wala. The thought just randomly crossed my mind." There, I felt conscious. Sino pa bang niloloko ko? I don't think I would be able to find anyone better than him. It's Danger more than anyone else.

Bumalik siya sa paghiga at humarap sa'kin. I glanced at him, only to know he was also staring at me, before looking back at the ceiling.

"Tayo lang naman kasi nag-iisip na may the best pa bukod sa'tin. We let go of the other just because of the thinking there is someone out there who is more worth it of your attention and love, there is someone out there who will love you more than the other can. Pero sa totoo lang, nasa iyo naman 'yun eh. If you really love the person, why would you still find love in others?"

Natahimik ako sa sinabi niya. Kalmado lang siya habang sinasabi 'yun pero ako, gulong-gulo na naman. Tama nga siguro si Danger sa'kin.

Riot with a riot inside her head.

"You're still bothered, right? Kasi aalis na ako within a few days and you thought this will be the end of us." I answered him with a nod.

I faced him and he gave a soft kiss on the forehead. "Just trust me in this, Riot. We'll work this out. Trust me and I won't fail you."
