Make sure you decide what kind of book you are writing. Is it part of a series? Is that series serialized (example: Bridgerton or the show Law & Order) or is just one larger story broken down into separate books (example: Lord of the Rings)?

Remember you can always change the kind of book, but either way the type of book will affect its structure.
