Author's Note

This is book 3 of The Point Series. Characters from the previous books will be in this story.

New Year's Day is a time for resolutions. Jack Harris, still mourning the tragic death of his wife, vows to start living again. Maddie Evans dumps her boyfriend and vows no more meaningless sex.

Jack moves to The Point to live in his parent's old summer cottage and meets his old flame Maddie, who tries to heal his grieving heart.

Follow Jack and his teenage daughter, Rory to The Point and see if old and new friends can chase away the shadows of the past.

This is the third book in The Point Series set in a unique fictional beach community on the coast of southern Maine. I recommend reading the first two books Shattered Hearts and Designs of Love as the beloved characters are part of this continuing story. You may also want to read the prequel to The Point series, Shadows in the Dark.

I also highly recommend reading Blending Christmas for background information of some of the supporting characters and Alone.

The Point Map and Key:

The Point:

The Point is a fictional unique stretch of land on the coast of southern Maine. It has one of Maine's most beautiful sandy beaches, but is surrounded by marsh and tidal rivers on the land side. The only way onto it by car is on the causeway across the marsh. It is a unique little world for the people who lived there year round and they are a family.

The population shifts from less than two hundred to more than a thousand during the summer months. This does not include the beach goers that come across the causeway each day all summer. As isolated as it may seem on The Point, across the causeway and three miles up to US Route One, there is a typical suburban town just outside of Portland. People from town come to The Point for the beach, but also for the best and freshest seafood.
