CHRIS'S POV

I kept searching around the Aqua Ring for anything that may be useful for the team to survive in this horrible place, I went out into the drained Water Tank and continued my investigation, when I found one of the smaller Sharks which was flopping around on the floor, completely helpless.

"Sharks in an underground Lab, they certainly didn't cover this in S.T.A.R.S. Training..." I said to myself as I walked past the stranded Shark and kept walking, until I stopped and saw the larger Shark laying still in a pool of water.

(It's alright, Chris... it's dead now, let's just go over there and look around quickly) I thought to myself as I slowly approached the edge of the shallow pool, I then hurried through it and to the opposite platform, looking for anything that might be useful when I saw something, it looked like a Key in a big metal box.

I walked over to take the Key, since it might be useful, when suddenly the larger Shark lunged at me and slammed it's head into the spot where the Key was! That knocked the box off it's spot and into the water with the thing, and it's body was blocking me in now!

"Oh for God sakes... of course it wasn't dead!" I said in frustration as my heart was racing in my chest from seeing those jaws, then I looked around and saw a generator that still looked like it was active, then I had an idea and quickly pushed the Generator into the water with the Shark.

Then I pulled the power switch for the generator and it sparked as the power came on, suddenly the Shark started thrashing and convulsing in the water, and I saw electricity spark and crackle as the Shark was electrocuted, until the machinery that supplied the power to the generator started to smoke until it broke down, and the electricity cut off.

I looked at the Shark and saw it's body twitching in the water, I then took a shot at it with my Handgun and... no reaction, it was dead.

"Phew... that's a relief, now to get that Key" I said to myself as I dropped down into the shallow water, I then hurried to the box and picked the Key up from the ground.

After I grabbed the Key I ran back through the empty tank to the doors, so I could go back up to the Guardhouse and try to find where this Key was supposed to go, I went through the doors and climbed up the ladders, going back up to that room before I began to search around the building.

After a quick search I found the door that the Key went into, I unlocked the door and went through into what looked like a Gallery of some kind, I then saw what looked like a person at the end of a long hallway, I went over and saw that they were dead with a contorted expression of pain on their face, clutching at his neck as his face was swollen up.

"What could have done this?" I asked myself as I knelt down to look closer, when I heard buzzing from my left, I looked over and saw what looked like a HUGE Hive, with big Wasps buzzing around it or crawling on the outside of the Hive.

"That's not good... I need to find a way to get rid of that before it becomes a problem, hm?" I said to myself before I looked down, and saw what looked like a Spraying device, for spraying Insecticide into an area, this could help to kill those Wasps but... there was no way I could just go down that hallway and spray the Hive, I wouldn't be able to get close enough to spray it before I ended up like this guy.

I took the Sprayer and hurried back to the Corridor, as some of the Giant Wasps flew at me and chased after me, I did not want to get stung by those! I quickly got through to the Corridor and shut the door behind be, before going back along the corridor and finding a Map of this building which had a hole behind it going right to the Hive!

I quickly stuck the nozzle of the Sprayer into the hole on the wall and started spraying the Insecticide, I heard loud buzzing from the other side of the hole and some light thumps, the Wasps must be getting killed by the spray!

After a bit the buzzing had stopped and I went back into the Gallery room, I then went back to that corner and saw that the swarms of Wasps were now dead on the ground under their Hive, I went over and searched the desk under the Hive and found a small Bronze Key with the numbers 003 on it, I had seen a door with that number on it back in the Gallery.

I quickly found the door, unlocked it and went into the room to search for anything else here, after looking around I saw a set of books with Red covers but there was a White book sandwiched between them, I took the book out and opened it, and inside were some Documents which I read over.

The similarities in the cellular characteristics of the rapidly growing plant infected by the Tyrant Virus have been reported in previous papers. However, while repeating these experiments, an interesting new fact became clear.

We learned that a chemical in the UMB family, UMB No. 20, contains a compound that is toxic to the cells of the plant.

We have given UMB No. 20 a new name: V-JOLT. If calculations prove correct, when V-JOLT is applied directly to the root of the plant, the entire plant should be dead within 5 seconds.

The V-JOLT can be made by simply mixing the VP and UMB chemicals in a specific ratio. However, extra care must be taken when handling these UMB chemicals. They have been known to generate toxic gases if mishandled.

The characteristics of each UMB chemical are as follows:

UMB No. 3 red

Yellow-6 Yellow

UMB No. 7 Green

UMB No. 10 Orange

VP-017 Blue

V-JOLT Dark Brown

"Hm... I better try and find Rebecca, maybe she can make sense of this" I said to myself as I went out of the room, as I opened the door there was a startled gasp and I saw Rebecca!

"You scared me! You okay?" Rebecca asked me as she calmed herself down, looking relieved to see me.

"Yeah, are you looking for Richard?" I asked her, figuring she was trying to find him and take him back to that Storage Room to recover.

"Yes, I haven't found him in the Main building, so I thought I'd check here too" Rebecca said to me, looking worried now that she was thinking about Richard again.

"Well you don't have to worry, Richard's safe, (Y/N)'s taking him back to that room, and probably giving him quite a lecture as well" I said to her with a smile, I was very glad she was there to help Richard out.

"Oh, thank God..." Rebecca said sounding very relieved now that she knew that Richard was alright.

"Hey, Rebecca, I found these documents in a book, can you make any sense of them?" I asked her as I handed her the Documents, she took them from my hand and started to read them over carefully before she had a look of realisation on her face.

"I see... I found a Pharmaceutical Room, I think I can come up with something useful from this in there, come on!" Rebecca said before leading me to this room she told me about, hopefully this would be useful.

We went into the room and I saw a lot of bottles, jars and books, I saw Rebecca lay out those documents I found and started to read them carefully, nodding to herself before she turned to look at me.

"Okay, it looks like this document talks about creating some kind of toxin to poison a mutated Plant" Rebecca said, then I remembered that document (Y/N) showed me before talking about that Plant that the people here were testing on, Plant 42.

"Rebecca, there's supposed to be a Plant somewhere in this building, it's supposed to be dangerous, maybe we can make this poison and kill it?" I said to her, it would certainly be better than trying to face it with Guns.

"Yeah! We've got all the chemicals to make it right here, I better get to work!" Rebecca said as she then went to start mixing the chemicals to make the V-JOLT Toxin.

THIRD PERSON'S POV

Meanwhile, (Y/N) had gotten Richard back to the Medical Storage Room, and had lectured him along the way as well about not throwing his life away, and that she and everyone else would be devastated if they'd lost him after already losing Edward, Kenneth and Joseph.

"I'm sorry... I just didn't want to be useless again, I promised myself I'd not let my friends down, I just want to protect my friends" Richard said as he looked to the floor while he sat in the bed in the room, (Y/N) sighed and knelt down in front of him, placing a hand on his knee.

"Listen, Richard, I know you want to keep us all safe, but... don't go throwing your life away, please, you have a girlfriend waiting for you back home and your arm's too badly damaged to be of much help right now, I know everyone would be sad if you died" (Y/N) said to him seriously, she certainly wouldn't be happy if he had gotten himself killed, Richard kept looking to the floor with a sad frown on his face.

"Alright, I'm sorry..." Richard said to her before he took out his Assault Shotgun looking down at it before his face gained a look of determination, he then looked up to (Y/N) and offered her his Shotgun.

"Um... Richard, I already have a Shotgun?" the (H/C) haired girl said in confusion, as she showed him her twelve-gauge Shotgun.

"Take mine, I'll swap with you" Richard said to her firmly as he held his personal Weapon out to her, (Y/N) looked at him and sighed, before she swapped her regular Shotgun with Richard's Assault Shotgun.

"Thank you, don't worry... I'll stay right here in this room from now on" Richard said to her with a pained smile, (Y/N) smiled back at him, glad that he would stay put now and not pit himself in needless danger, though... she'd feel a lot better about leaving him here if Rebecca, Jill or Barry were here to keep him from sneaking off again.

"Alright... but I'm warning you buster, if I come back here and you've run off again, I'll lock you in here" (Y/N) said to Richard with a serious look, making the man awkwardly chuckle before the teenage Girl left to continue to search the Mansion.

She checked all of the rooms just to be sure when she also reached the Outside Patio on the second floor of the Mansion, walking along slowly when she rounded the corner and saw Jill was stood in front of something and now holding a Grenade Launcher.

"Jill, your alright, I was so worried" the (H/C) haired girl said as she approached her friend only to see what Jill was looking at, it was Forest... another Member of Bravo Team, but, he was dead...

"(Y/N)! C-Come on... let's go, you don't need to see this" Jill said to the younger girl in a gentle tone of voice, tinged with grief, knowing that Chris would also be upset from this too, (Y/N) just nodded sadly as she turned walked away with Jill, no words coming to her after seeing another friend dead.

The two were about to round the corner to go back into the Mansion, when they heard a crash behind them, both Women spun around and saw... Forest's body had reanimated, and was running toward them both, his arms outstretched and grasping at the air as a hungry, guttural growl came from his throat.

"Forest, no... not you too" Jill said as she stepped back, (Y/N) looked at her former teammate with a look of conflict in her (E/C) eyes, she knew that it would be better if he was put out of his misery now, so that he wouldn't have to suffer, but... she also felt guilty about having to shoot yet another member of her Team, having to kill Edward was hard enough...

She then took in a breath before taking aim with Richard's Shotgun, planning to make it quick, she gave her teammate a final apology, before she pulled the trigger, blasting him in the head and blowing the Zombie head off in the process, the body stood still for a few seconds before falling onto it's back and going still.

(I'm sorry, Forest... I hope you're at peace now) (Y/N) silently thought to herself, hoping that he would be at rest and didn't hate her for having to do that to him, they walked back into the Mansion and Jill placed her hand on (Y/N)'s shoulder.

"I'm sorry you had to do that, (Y/N), it couldn't have been easy..." Jill said to the younger woman with sympathy, giving her shoulder a reassuring squeeze to show that she was there for her, (Y/N) sniffed and wiped her eyes before she let out a breath.

"No... but, I couldn't just leave him like that, at least now he won't suffer anymore, or... hurt anyone" (Y/N) said to her with a frown on her face, Jill nodded to her in understanding but she knew that the younger woman was still hurting.

They decided to go back to the Guardhouse and meet up with Chris, and after a short journey through the Mansion and it's Grounds, they arrived back at the Gallery room of the Guardhouse, but... they didn't seem to find anyone here.

"Where'd Chris go? Damn, he must have left already..." (Y/N) said as she looked around the room, then stopped looking at the door to room 003, she and Jill soon approached the door and went into the room, Jill and (Y/N) looked around when the (H/C) haired girl seemed to notice the collection of Red covered books on the shelf, she then took out the Red Book she'd found in the Rec Room and slotted it onto the shelf with the other Red Books, and then saw that the books made a picture on their covers.

MEANWHILE, DOWN IN THE GUARD ROOM OF THE AQUA RING

Rebecca and Chris were searching around the Aqua Ring for Plant 42's Roots to use the V-JOLT Toxin to kill the Plant, they both reached the upper walkway for the Aqua Ring and went to open the door to the last room they hadn't checked yet, Chris opened the door and stepped inside.

"I think we found the Roots..." Chris said to Rebecca, who walked in after him and saw the roots of the plant squirming and wriggling like large, Green Worms, trying to find water to absorb, Rebecca saw it and looked a bit hesitant but she took a deep breath and then threw the full bottle of V-JOLT at the Roots.

The Brown chemical solution splashed against the wriggling roots, which then started wriggling more urgently, almost as if the Plant was in pain?

Rebecca quickly backed up next to Chris by the door to the room, watching as the Roots creaked and groaned before they started to wither and shrink up into the roof of the room, the remaining roots quickly died and turned a dull, lifeless Brown colour.

"Okay... that should do it" Rebecca said with relief in her voice as she dropped the now empty glass bottle to the floor.

"Yeah, let's get back up there and make sure" Chris said to her, Rebecca nodded and followed him to go back up to the Guardhouse Residence above the Aqua Ring, the both of them hoping that the Plant was truly dead now.

BACK UP IN THE GUARDHOUSE

After a short time moving the Red covered books around and promptly snorting at the image of a naked woman on the now lined up book covers, Jill wasn't too impressed, bit then, a Cupboard close by slid away revealing a hidden door!

"Okay... I wonder what might be on the other side of this?" (Y/N) said as she stood up with a slight frown on her face, Jill approached the door and opened it, the two Women went inside and heard creaking and looked up to the ceiling.

"What the?!" Jill exclaimed as she and (Y/N) both pointed their guns up, seeing what looked like a large Plant of some kind withering and shrinking away, the two Women lowered their weapons thinking that whatever that thing was it must have left... when suddenly the large Plant bulb seemed to rapidly regrow, it's long vines waving around like tentacles when both Girls were suddenly grabbed by these vines!

Jill and (Y/N) both groaned in pain as the vines wrapped tightly around their bodies, thrashing them around as both Women kicked their legs and tried to get themselves free of these constricting vines.

Suddenly the door was opened and Barry came running into the room, looking up at the Monstrous Mutant Plant in disbelief, and was also holding a Flamethrower in his hands.

"What the hell is this thing?!" Barry said in surprised as he looked up at the large bulb growing from the ceiling, with several deadly vines growing from it.

"Barry!" Jill grunted as she kept struggling to try and escape this thing.

"Help!" (Y/N) called out as she too tried to get herself free of the vine wrapped around her body.

"Jill! (Y/N)! Agh!" Barry called out, before suddenly another of this Plant's vines grabbed hold of him too, lifting him up off the ground and also thrashing him around, but then, Barry let out a loud yell and blasted the Plant's Bulb with a stream of flames, the Plant then let out a strange growling sound as it burned.

The combination of the V-JOLT Toxin and the flames quickly killed off the blood-sucking, monstrous Plant, which started to wither away, the vines and thick armoured shells around the Bulb breaking off piece-by-piece in a shower of fluids, also dropping the three S.T.A.R.S. Members to the floor with three thuds.

Barry, Jill and (Y/N) all sat in the spots where they landed, panting for breath in relief that the Plant hadn't killed or seriously wounded any of them, the remains of Plant 42 either hanging from the ceiling or laying on the floor still smoking from the Flamethrower shot.

"I thought we were both finished..." Jill sighed as she looked over to (Y/N) and Barry, feeling very relieved that she and (Y/N) weren't killed by that thing.

"Thanks Barry, you're a real life saver tonight!" (Y/N) said to him with a smile, feeling very grateful that they were safe now.

"Don't mention it, but what was that?" Barry said to them both as he stood back up, brushing himself down as both Women also stood up from the floor.

"Some kind of Mutant Plant, and just as unfriendly as everything else here" (Y/N) replied to him as she looked down to the charred remains of the Plant, though... she silently didn't count a certain creature she encountered in the Attic.

"What the hell is going on in this place?!" Barry exclaimed in annoyance, suddenly the doors back to the Gallery Room opened, making all three of them point their guns at the door, only to be met with Chris and Rebecca, who both looked very surprised to see them here.

"Jill! (Y/N)! Barry!" Chris said in surprise when he saw the three, they then lowered their weapons, relieved it was those two.

"What happened here?" Rebecca asked in surprise as she saw the smoking plant debris on the floor, just past the other three.

"(Y/N) and I came in here to search for you two and suddenly this giant Plant attacked us, this is crazy" Jill said as she brushed some of the Plant's fluids and pollen off of her uniform.

"We were also trying to kill this thing, we created some kind of Toxin, V-JOLT, it was supposed to kill this thing" Rebecca said in confusion as she looked up to the ceiling of the room, seeing some of the Plant's remains dangling down from above.

"Well... it did seem like it was dying when we came into the room, but then it suddenly seemed to come back alive and grabbed us, but, Barry came in and saved us in the nick of time" (Y/N) said in relief as she smiled over to Barry thankfully.

"Well, I guess we got to the root of that problem" Chris said as he smiled at the group, Jill, (Y/N) and Rebecca just smiled and shook their heads, Barry nodded to Chris before looking over to (Y/N) and looked relieved that she wasn't hurt.

"(Y/N)! Are you hurt? I heard that you found Richard, is he okay?" Rebecca asked urgently as she hurried over to the (H/C) haired girl, and started checking her over for any new injuries.

"Yeah, he's okay, I took him back to the Medical Storage Room, and I made certain he wouldn't leave this time" (Y/N) said to Rebecca in a comforting way as she looked her in the eyes, Rebecca then let out a breath and calmed down.

"Thank goodness, when I saw that you had his Shotgun... I thought the worst" Rebecca said to her with a slight frown on her face, as she looked at Richard's Assault Shotgun that (Y/N) had.

"Richard gave you his weapon?" Chris asked (Y/N) sounding surprised, since she did already have a Shotgun of her own before.

"We traded, he gave me this while I gave him the one I had before, he insisted" (Y/N) said to him, Chris still seemed to think it was odd but shrugged it off, thinking that Richard likely did it because he wanted to help, even with his arm as badly hurt as it is.

(Y/N) then noticed something shining in the fireplace and walked away from the group toward it, she knelt down and reached into the fireplace, picking up a large Silver Key which had an image of an Armoured Helmet carved on one side.

"Did you find something?" Rebecca asked as she approached her curiously, Chris, Jill and Barry looked over to them both, wondering what (Y/N) may have found.

"Yeah, look at this, I found a Key" (Y/N) said as she stood back up and showed Rebecca the Key, Jill and Chris also came over to see what she had found, they saw they Key and then had a realisation.

"(Y/N), I think that Key can unlock more of the doors around the Mansion" Jill said to her, sounding very pleased that they had managed to find a way to progress further into the investigation, Rebecca volunteered to stay in the Medical Room of this building, (Y/N), Jill and Chris went to go and look around while (Y/N) would go back to check up on Richard.

(Y/N) walked her way through the Gallery Room and went back into the Central Corridor of the building, when she heard gunshots further down the hall, she hurried to the location of the shots, seeing flashes on the walls before she rounded the corner.

"C-Captain Wesker!" she said in surprise as she got very flustered checking to make sure her hair was alright before said man turned around to look at her.

"(Y/N)! I'm so glad you're safe" Wesker said as he turned around and walked to her, giving her a charming smile.

"That's my line! I'm glad you're here, sir!" (Y/N) said back to him, feeling truly relieved that he was unharmed.

"I apologize, it was all I could do to protect myself against those strange creatures" Wesker said as he stopped close to her, causing (Y/N) to get rather warm.

"I understand, anyway... I'm glad that you're safe, sir" (Y/N) said to him, blushing like a schoolgirl from how close he was.

"Have you found anything of note in your part of the investigation?" Wesker asked her with a raised brow, very interested in seeing what she may have learned here since she had woken up.

"Yes, I've learned of a few things, including some rather... disturbing news, sir, I believe that Umbrella may be behind this" (Y/N) explained to him, trusting the Captain of Alpha Team with the information she had gathered.

"Umbrella? Why do you think that, dear?" Wesker asked her with a raised brow, his Green eyes covered by his sunglasses, which disguised the lack of surprise, he saw the teenager blush from the pet name before he listened to (Y/N) recount her earlier misadventure with Rebecca through the Training Facility, leaving out the involvement of Billy, and also explaining how she had all of her evidence and weapons stolen by someone.

"I see... so all you have is... is that Richard's Shotgun?" Wesker asked her, putting worry into his voice as he looked at her.

"Yeah, Richard insisted that I take this instead of the 12 Gauge I had before, he was hurt pretty badly and wanted to help somehow" (Y/N) said with a frown on her face, Wesker's face briefly became a frown before he went back to his neutral look.

"I see, well... I may have something that might you quite happy indeed" Wesker said as he reached into one of his pockets, (Y/N) looked at him curiously as he took something out of one of his pockets and placed it in (Y/N)'s hand.

"This looks cute, sir... but, is this really the time for fishing?" (Y/N) said as she looked at Alpha Team's Captain in confusion as she held the Lure in her hand, though she also thought that if she did try fishing here she'd likely catch another Monster.

"No dear, go to the room on the second floor of the East Wing, in a room with a Fish Tank, go there and find what's been hidden, trust me... this is something I'm certain you'll want" Wesker said to her as he placed his hand on her shoulder, (Y/N) was very interested in seeing what it was Wesker was talking about now, and also internally happy from him placing his hand on her shoulder.

"O-Okay... thank you, sir, I'll go check it out right away!" (Y/N) said eagerly to the blonde haired man, who gave her a charming smile in return, like a Cat who was playing with it's prey.

"Good girl, stay safe, I would be most upset if you perished from one of these Monsters" Wesker said to her, before he turned and left to another part of the Guardhouse, leaving the flustered teenager to regain her wits before finally leaving to see what Wesker had been talking about.
