Project Omega (Mirawesker)
It had been more than a decade, more than enough time for every cell in the bastard's body to turn to ash. Yet, despite the wishes of the grieving families & survivors, the BSAA had other plans.
Albert Wesker aged 49 died in 2009, Kijuju Africa at the hands of BSAA agents Sheva Alomar & Chris Redfield.
Even now, he lay dead but not rotting. His body appeared to be in some sort of coma, no brain activity but he had fully healed himself. There were a few significant changes however. He withdrew 3 inches of height, lost incredible amounts of weight & muscle. Bones appeared to be like jelly beneath his skin. Although there was no mistaking that it was indeed Albert Wesker, the body was not alive. Having healed from the initial injuries from the Kijuju incident. Body tissue revealed that his regenerative abilities had pushed to their last energy reserve in healing him for the third time & ensuring that its host was fully intact. However, his body gave up. Shortly after the outbreak in China, it was documented that Wesker's blood had been used for a large amount of the new virus in that it could heal from initial wounds. Wesker stopped producing blood altogether in 2014 & paled, thinning out to where he looked like a mummified zombie, which was partly the truth after all.
After receiving news of a new organism, Albert was transferred to Louisiana & from there soon to Europe & then finally Romania.
All the while everyone assumed that Wesker had been blown to bits in 2009. His body was transferred to an underground base within driving distance of the village, he was one of a total of four specimens in a project dubbed 'Omega'. Tattooed on his left arm was "OM-03".
For years his body lay there as rogues of the BSAA experimented on the mold, working to see how it would react to different viruses & hosts, seeing that Evelyn had failed.
All the while, everything was done behind Chris Redfield's back.
That brings up to now-
He was awake. Well, not awake at the same time. He couldn't describe it, couldn't find the words or meaning. He had felt something prick him, drain him, then one day they brought in something that he could almost feel. Like another person. It communicated with him, he wasn't sure how, it just could.
He remembers the terrible hiss it made when they tried to combine them. He remembered the pain he felt as they pried open his chest. He remembered how difficult it was to hang onto life & breathe as the creature inhabited him. He remembered months later that it soon left his body on its own accord but even then nothing felt right. It had hollowed him out, eaten his insides & left him empty. It had thankfully not taken his mind, not yet.
But now he was awake.
He could move!
His fingers twitched, lower right arm, he could feel it. He remembered it - something had happened. The Earth? No, even from his distance, the source was faint & weak, it had to be nearby however, perhaps a few kilometres away he summarised. It was like a jolt of pain & then life suddenly breathed back into him. He lied, feeling the rise & fall of his chest, how odd it felt now to actually breathe. He didn't dare open his eyes, fearful of what he may find waiting for him in this world. Eventually he lifted his right arm up fully, cracking the wrist as he rolled & clenched his fist. Soon he carefully brought his cold fingers to his face. It felt odd at first, he wanted to move away but was comforted at the same time, knowing that it was only he who touched him for now. He grunted & tried to push up, trembling as he took a few deep breaths. Finally he opened his eyes & squinted at his surroundings.
Everything was white, perhaps metal or concrete, he was in some sort of capsule, the side read 8:00 & he guessed that was the time. He grunted & shakily pushed himself up, grimacing as he looked down at himself, completely naked. His skin was pale & stretched over thin bones, there were some scar tissues on his body from what he could only assume was the bonding with whatever it was that had greeted him. He blinked & frowned as the lights intruded on his vision, holding up an arm to cover his face. After awhile of getting feeling back into his toes, he dared to lean over & try to get out. There was another capsule nearby but it wasn't open, it's glass too dark to see past & so he shrugged it off. He hummed to test his vocal cords & walked uneasily around the small room. He noticed that he was freezing & squinted up at some air vents, frosty air coming from them. He shivered & continued towards a door which he hoped was the way out. He tried to speak, moving his tongue over his dry lips, parting his teeth. Nipples hardened in the cold & he examined the hairs on his stomach & forearms, blonde.
He frowned & reached up to grab some of his own hair but winced & nearly fell back from the force of pulling his own hair. Short.
He huffed, perhaps a mirror was nearby. He smoothly ran a hand through his hair to try & get a feel or guess what he looked like. It was smooth, soft. It wasn't completely short but he couldn't see a strand to save his life. He next groped at his face, eyes narrowed at his narrow & long nose, thin lips, well defined cheekbones. After getting bored of exploring his body, he turned & tried the door once again but it was locked. He sighed & rested back on the balls of his feet, wondering what he could do.
He flinched as alarms blared & red lights flickered on. His heart pounded in his chest, the sirens draining out all thought as he panicked. He quickly turned & tried to race back to his capsule but stumbled & landed face first on the floor. He groaned & gently cupped his manhood, seething in pain slightly before glancing around. Eyes still wide but something inside him urged him to remain calm, to think before he acted so he wouldn't hurt himself so foolishly once again. He groaned & sat back against the capsule & watched the door like a Hawk. The capsule read '8:20' when the door hissed open & two men walked in.
"-can't just let them walk all over you like-"
The first soldier paused upon seeing him & likewise the men tensed, staring at each other. The next man, also armed with what he assumed was an AK rifle & the clear uniform of whatever organisation the 'BSAA' was. Albert stared at the two soldiers that had entered the room, eyes wide with fear, arms covering his crouched body.
"Simon, we've got a problem. Omega-3 is awake."
One of the men spoke, holding a finger to his ear.
"What should we do?"
The first spoke, gun still trained on the huddled, naked man as he spared a glance back to his partner.
"Understood."
The second mumbled before facing the first.
"Boss wants us to sedate him. Rest of the facility is going up in flames. Let's contain & transport this bastard back to the reserves along with the other."
'Other', Albert turned his head & glanced at the capsule across from him. Someone else was in there?
"Alright."
He flinched as the guards racked their weapons, one was out of sight, replaced by a syringe with a strange blue liquid. The soldier adopted a stance & slowly came closer towards Albert. The blonde whimpered & started to tremble, the needle's edge glinting in the sporadic emergency lights.
"P-please, no..."
He grunted, voice hoarse & weak but it was there.
All three men jumped as a loud shriek erupted from outside. Albert's breath froze in his esophagus as he watched what unfolded next.
A large tentacle yet tree-like appendage burst into the room, it swung around wildly, picking up one soldier & smashing him against the other.
The men screamed as their bones were crushed & skulls splintered on impact against the concrete walls.
It didn't last five minutes before there was silence & the two bodies lay by the entrance.
Albert whimpered again as the appendage retreated into the darkness of the hallway outside. Soon a pale woman entered the room, eyes sharp with black eyeliner. She grinned upon seeing Albert & slowly held out a hand towards him. He hissed at her approach on instinct, though he was trembling from fear, as if her skin was the poison that would slowly kill him.
"Shh Shh, little one."
She wasn't tall or large herself but when she spoke, Albert became dizzy, almost nauseous. He grunted & watched with weary blue eyes as the woman crept into the room, her eyes & creepy smile never leaving him.
"My champion, don't you remember me?"
He narrowed his eyes at the woman & paused altogether. His eyes squinted for a moment, as if trying to remember something important.
"Yes!"
The woman laughed, beckoning Albert forward. He was no longer in control of his movements as he stood & walked obediently towards her, eyes glazed with a lifeless look.
"There you are."
The woman purred, gently pulling his face down to meet hers. She smelt... Odd, like Death & ground.
He flinched in surprise as she kissed him but soon enough Albert screamed. It was a burning pain that travelled from his mouth to his chest, gripping his heart tightly. He groaned & stood on shaky feet as the woman infected him with the creature that he had communicated with months ago & left him. He felt like throwing up but a moment later he was under her trance yet again.
The creature inside him bonded to him almost instantly, it settled itself quite cosily in his chest, it was hard to breathe at first but something told him that he'd be alright, he'd get used to it.
The woman chuckled & stepped aside, Albert glanced down as a thick black substance began to coat over his skin almost like a second skin but thicker & warmer, protecting him.
"Mother knows best, dear. Now, I'll meet you once again but go, go forth & wreak havoc on those who have taken what is mine!"
He gave a nod & before he could even acknowledge his own movements, he took off. Faster than probably the wind itself, he tore through the building, slaughtering all that stood in his way. He eventually made it outside into the cold night, glancing up at the stars with a satisfied growl. Mother. He was coming home.
