♤ Now, moving on to the comments I would like to make about this book, I personally believe this story was very bland. It lacked so much and nothing extremely captivating even happened yet I stretched it on for so long.
I feel like that was really wrong of me and I'm sorry about that. I'm sorry if you've ever felt like you're wasting your time reading this story or if you've ever questioned why even you're reading it.
♧ However, the whole process of writing and publishing this story was very exciting for me. I was happy while doing it even though I didn't realise that it was probably boring.
✏Writing and creating stories have actually been my passion since I was little and I am so glad that I was able to share my writing with you all. I feel like writing this story really helped me in developing my writing skills. Even though not everything was satisfactory about this story and it could've been a lot better, it's been a great experience to write it!

🍃 Let me give you a little backstory on how this story was originally created:
I once came across an instagram post of a faceless picture of a couple (two men) kissing with two photos of Taehyung and Jungkook in similar clothing placed side by side. It was kinda a comparison post, like imagine that's taekook or smth like that.
However, the pictures of taekook that they put were one of Taehyung from 2020 and the other of Jungkook from 2017. So I got the idea of an AU about 2020 Taehyung going back in time to get back his lost love, Jungkook, in 2017. I commented it and I was encouraged to write that AU by the person I thanked above ⬆️
✨That's how this story came to be✨
I know I could've made this story so much more interesting coz it was really too simple but I feel like I'll leave it the way it is. It's still my first full taekook fanfiction and although I feel disappointed, I'm still sort of proud for having completed it? I know it's weird but oh well!
I guess it's because back when I used to write on my personal wattpad account, I had never written a full story with my interest remaining intact till the end. I would either leave my stories incomplete or be disinterested and want to finish them fast and then they would be completely ruined. So I feel good that I actually wrote this one with actual dedication from start to finish! 💎
Being able to tick the "completed" box is a huge relief to the me who was never sure whether she would be able to complete this story ♧
🐥 One thing I totally gotta admit is that Jimin was my favourite character in this whole book! It was so fun to write scenes about him (you all also prolly know by now how much I love Vmin's friendship, so it was great writing about that too!!) Jimin added a lot to the comedy part of the story but he also had a huge role in the other parts as well. This duality in his character - sometimes completely goofy and others being serious and giving advice - was amazing to portray. I feel like it's also a characteristic of our real life Jiminie. Although he's a cute dork, he can be really reliable too, especially when it comes to comforting the members! I love how Jimin is sometimes a total slytherin but then there are other times when he's such a hufflepuff xD 🐥
Also, you might have noticed how I was so into little details throughout this story. Sometimes these little details were hindrances to me, yet I felt more "professional" or just better to look up things properly so I would be able to write this story better.
The whole process was so much fun actually and I totally don't regret writing this!
🌸 I was also a lot into descriptions. That made me feel glad about my writing skills which I feel have improved throughout this whole period of 10 months. Especially in the last chapters and the epilogue, I made it a must to describe everything so my readers would have a visual image of everything going on - be it the surrounding, the people, the places or even the actions being done.
I feel like I did that because whenever I read books, I have the tendency to imagine the scene in front of me. It happens even more often when I read hard copy books by authors like J.K Rowling or Stephen King who are amazing at descriptions! And since then, I also have this visual imagery when I'm thinking about what to write and since it's already so visual and detailed in my head, I want to produce the same image in my readers' mind. I sincerely hope I was able to achieve that goal and if not, I'll work harder so as to write better in the future! ♥️
☄ Moreover, I don't know if anyone noticed, I also added elements of foreshadowing to the story. I like having moments when you can go back somewhere in the story and be like "ohhh that's foreshadowing that moment!" Even though not many people pay attention to such things, I feel like it adds to the feel and appeal of the book, you know?
Speaking of foreshadowing, I also attempted the same with the cover of the book. If you look closely, the two pictures of Tae and Kook inside of the TV in the centre, are from 2020 and 2017 respectively - which indicated that there's a difference in time. It sort of gives the hint that the story goes on between 2020 Tae and 2017 Kook, this detail was obviously not given in the synopsis.
Of course, no one will guess it from the cover alone but when you reach chapter 6 and realise what's going on, one can look back to the cover and see those hints. That was the thought with which I made the cover.
📺 The fuzzy grey background was also sort of a clue. It hints towards the time travel. You know how when your tv or old TVs wouldn't work, this fuzzy background would be displayed with an annoying sound? Or even sometimes in movies when they go for a flashback (especially sitcoms), they briefly put that sign. I put it there to symbolise this sort of flashback experience/going in the past.
And then ofc, outside the tv you see a pic of 2017 taekook. This one was to hint that the story happens in 2017. I was so excited when I first started this book that I would think into details about everything and made a complex cover and all xD
🔊 Something else I really wanted to add was that this story was heavily based on the boys' real characters. I mean in every way possible, as you all might have noticed. Their manners, likes and dislikes, love for fans and even career were all the same as they are in real life.
Still this story remains fictional okay!
I know I inspired so much from their real life and there's so much in common, yet remember that not everything was takem from reality. For instance, the travelling in the past thing very obviously, the confession, the accident and whatnot.
But what I personally wanted to point out was the part where Tae wrote and sang scenery for Jungkook in chapter 40.
📌 In this story, Taehyung wrote (or more like re-wrote) that song especially for Jungkook, to confess and express his love for Jungkook. However, in no means am I implying that Taehyung wrote it for Jungkook in real life! It was his personal project. Whoever or whatever inspired him to write this song is known by him only unless he decides to share it with us.
Even if we suppose that Tae and Jungkook are really dating or whatever (which we can only theorise but never be completely sure unless they confirm it themselves), everything one of them does is not necessarily related to the other. When 2 persons are in love/dating, they're not obligated to make everything they do about their partner.
They are allowed to have personal projects that are completely unrelated to the other person. That's why, when it comes to Taehyung or Jungkook's songs, we can't say that they're about each other. Unless they tell us that themselves. Sure, we can make theories but at the end of the day, they remain as theories. They're not facts.
🔊 We have no idea about what their relationship truly is (even though they behave and look sooooo much like boyfriends). Nevertheless, wattpad is a fictional world for us fanfic writers and readers and we should be careful not to mix up what we read in fanfics with reality. Be safe and don't let shipping become an obsession to you. After all, being part of this fandom/community/family is supposed to be a fun experience for all💜✨
The thing is, the reason I didn't include any mature scene (besides the heated kisses that I described way more than necessary - I'm sorry, I got absorbed in descriptions) was because of how close this story is to reality. As I mentioned, the characters of the boys are so alike to how they really are and it felt wrong to add such scenes in the book though it's still fiction. Idk if it makes sense but well I hope you understand how I feel.
I mean, like I know this story is still not real but the aspects of it are. I always feel uncomfortable to read a fanfic where it shows that the boys are part of BTS and all - like stories where they show how taekook are dating despite being in the group or where they create situations that made them fall in love as bandmates etc. - and it is overly sexual. I thought that some readers might feel the same way and excluded any mature content.
When writing such a story where their real personalities are taken, I feel like I should be more careful with what I write. Because writing that they're fucking backstage in between or before a concert when in reality they're exhausting themselves to give us the best performance and time of our lives feels really disrespectful to me. It's like discrediting them of their hardwork and dedication to their performances.
Even though the story is fictional, it still reflects the true aspects of their lives - like them being idols, loving their fans and working hard to give their best performance. It's not like one of those stories where one of them is a rockstar and the other is a common person or a fan or whatever. This one feels much more real when it is read coz it coincides greatly with reality.
💫 Still, the nature of this book being so close, almost intertwining, to reality made it so much more interesting to write and I had a fun time doing so! Writing is a passion for me and writing a taekook fanfiction made it so much better for me (even though sometimes I would ignore my other priorities to write this book lmao)

This story will include action, romance, comedy, drama and of course TAEKOOK! It's going to be so much more interesting and complex than this one and I'm so excited to share it with you all! 💓☄
I have already written the description, prologue as well as the beginning of its first chapter. Once I make a proper cover for it (already have an idea of how it'll be, just need to find good images and time to edit), I'll update another part to let you know about it.
Actually, remember how I was supposed to end this book last year itself? Well, if I had done that, then I would have already put out a teaser in January and I would have published the prologue of the new book around March or April and then officially start to publish after my exams in June.
However, everything got delayed, so I guess I'll just be publishing it directly in June, without teaser or whatsoever. I have a really stressful period coming up (well it's already here but my procrastinator self is just acting as if I don't have exams starting in 2 months!) so I think I'll be deleting my wattpad for the time being😔
Wattpad is such a distraction to me and I really gotta study seriously. I'm telling myself it's only a few months and besides, I can download my wattpad again and read books later but my exams won't come again (well they can if I fail and repeat the year but I don't want that, so gotta study!) Yet I can't seem to find enough motivation yk?
I always work best at the last minute. Idk how I function but oh well, it is what it is! Still I know I can't put it off to last minute this time, it's not only some random class assessment. It's the real deal this time.
~•°Sorry for ranting but I feel like writing this kinda serves like a reminder to myself that I should be more diligent towards my revisions, so yeah! Let's hope I don't mess this up! The final line is right ahead for me!
[In french, we have a proverb that goes, "C'est la dernière ligne droite!" and the literal english translation would be "It's the last straight line/final line." And this basically sums it up for me]
Once this ends, it's over. You either win or lose depending on how much you've worked, how much you've trained. And seriously, I feel like I should put in more effort coz it's definitely not enough. To conclude, my wish to anyone who is having exams or a hard time right now, is that you overcome your laziness, procrastination, difficulties and that you get through it perfectly. Let's work hard everyone!
