And Jungkook even called Tae "my baby bear" I can't- 😭💘✨💜💓💫
THIRD PERSON POV
It was the second day of the concept photo shooting and the boys were about to shoot for two versions - the U and the R versions.
Those were the all white ones and the jeans outfits. The former were a bit harder to do since they were required to cry, which was difficult, considering their excited mood concerning the album and comeback and also, as Hoseok would say, crying didn't fit his life vibes.
As for the young couple within the group, they, once again, couldn't keep their eyes or hands off each other. Both thought the other looked so pretty and soft and it made them want to just cling onto each other.
Jungkook had his arms around Taehyung and his chin resting on his shoulder as they awaited their turn to shoot. Taehyung rested his head back on Jungkook's shoulder, leaning on the younger, so that they were basically cuddling while standing.
They were both lost in their own little bubble and didn't notice Jimin who had come up next to them. "Seriously, you both are so obvious! It feels like I'm more worried about you exposing yourselves than you both are!" Jimin said to them.
The two boys jumped a little, startled by the voice. "Oh my God! When did you even get here?" exclaimed Taehyung, a hand on his heart.
"Maybe if you were not so lost while cuddling your boyfriend, you would've noticed," replied Jimin in a whisper, causing Taehyung to blush.
Truthfully, neither Taehyung nor Jungkook was used to being called each other's boyfriend yet. Whenever they would get called that by Jimin or the other, they would get flustered. They just couldn't believe that all this was actually real, that their love was actually being reciprocated and that they were actually each other's.
Despite the two being impossibly clingy and Jimin having a hard time trying to help them appear less obvious, though it wouldn't quite work, the day ended rather well. The photos came out amazing, no one was suspicious of the two yet and the boys all had a great but tiring time.
The next day was the shooting for the last, or rather, the first version of the albums: the Y version.
They had to travel a little to get to the desired location which was the same one as the one where they had filmed the music video for 'Save Me'. As everyone exited the van, Jimin pulled both Taehyung and Jungkook back by the back of their shirts' collars and threateningly whispered, "if you two start giving me a hard time again by being too obvious with the hungry devouring gazes, the koala hugs or the itchy can't-keep-them-from-my-boyfriend hands, I'm seriously going to end you both! You hear me?"
Jungkook and Taehyung shivered. Jimin really could be scary sometimes! The two nodded hastily multiple times before Jimin let go of their collars. "Good."
Whether it was because Jimin really scared them or they didn't want to look too suspicious three days in a row, Taehyung and Jungkook were more careful with their interactions on the last day.
Of course, there were some times where they couldn't help draping an arm around the other's shoulders or standing close to the other but this was already something extremely normal between them.
The next few days were rather hectic with practice, followed by filming of the music video the following week. By then, Namjoon had pretty much recovered but the boys would make sure that their leader would not overwork himself nevertheless.
The days they would shoot the music video were absolute torture for Jungkook. The latter just couldn't handle Taehyung in his black outfit with the white harnesses and his mullet. He was like a moth being drawn to a flame, a piece of iron being attracted to a magnet and it was so hard for him to resist the temptation.
He had to constantly remind himself that they shouldn't be obvious about their relationship, that, in the others' eyes, excluding Jimin's of course, him and Taehyung were only bandmates, brothers. It was so tough for him to keep a fair distance from Taehyung but he still had to do it, otherwise he would probably pounce onto the older and attack him with kisses.
On one particular day, Taehyung and Jungkook had finished their filming early and were heading back home together. Seokjin, Jimin and Namjoon still had some solo shots to do while Hoseok and Yoongi had gone to shop for groceries.
The two rappers would go to the set to pick up the three remaining members before heading home after their shopping. Obviously, they wouldn't be back for a long while at least and Jungkook was aware of that fact. He was glad to finally get some time alone with his boyfriend.
The moment they entered the house, Taehyung went to crash on the couch. He was absolutely exhausted and was laying on his back with his legs hanging off the couch's arm. "I'm so tired!" He exclaimed.
Jungkook chuckled before joining him. He sat next to the elder's head, running his hand through Taehyung's hair while the latter let out a contented hum from the younger's relaxing action.
"You hungry?" Jungkook asked. "I can cook us something if you want."
Taehyung nodded. "Yeah, let's have something light though. The guys are going to come back and cook dinner in a while."
Jungkook got up and went into the kitchen, Taehyung following after him. "What're you doing? You can go take a nap, I'm cooking," Jungkook said.
"It's okay. I want to help," the elder smiled at him, making his heart melt. He adored Taehyung so much that the mere sight of the elder's boxy smile made butterflies fly around his stomach.
The two of them made a simple snack, namely Pa Jun. These are Korean pancakes with scallions. They're easy to make and ideal as a snack.
After cooking, they ate and began cleaning up. Having already wiped up everything, they were doing the dishes together, Jungkook rubbing them with a sponge and liquid soap before passing them to Taehyung who was rinsing them.
The elder thought about how domestic all this was, cooking together, eating together and cleaning up together. He imagined whether it would be how they would live after getting married to each other.
That thought made him blush slightly to himself. Jungkook and him had never talked about the topic of marriage, which was normal considering they were still so young and had started dating pretty recently too, but Taehyung always had it in the back of his mind.
He knew Jungkook was the one for him. He wanted to spend his whole life with the younger. He wanted to grow old with him. He wanted to have him by his side at every stage of life.
He certainly did love the younger with his whole heart and soul.
Taehyung's thoughts were interrupted and he felt himself being spun around. He instantly came face to face with the boy who had just been occupying his thoughts.
Jungkook had this dark glimmer in his eyes as he pinned Taehyung against the drawer. "You know how illegal you've been looking all day with that outfit you wore earlier and this mullet?" Jungkook queried rhetorically while his hand went to flick Taehyung's mullet as he spoke about it.
Taehyung, obviously flustered, blushed deeper, unable to form any proper sentences, not that Jungkook was expecting any from him anyway. He took the plate Taehyung was holding and placed it in the basket behind the elder, all while his gaze remained fixed on him. Despite being the same height as the younger, Taehyung felt incredibly small under Jungkook's powerful stare.
Taehyung's gaze flitted around the whole room, unable to hold the intense eye contact with Jungkook. There was this dangerous glint in the younger's eyes which made Taehyung apprehensive and excited at the same time.
Jungkook brought his right hand to Taehyung's face to delicately caress his cheek, the other still on the edge of the sink beside the elder's hip. "I've been wanting to do this the whole day," Jungkook whispered before moving his face forward and locking his lips with Taehyung's.
The elder immediately responded to the kiss with the same passion. His arms went around Jungkook's neck to eliminate every inch of distance between them, pulling him as close as possible.
Jungkook's hands went to Taehyung's waist, holding him firmly before beginning to slide his palms up and down slowly. The action, accompanied by Jungkook's tongue penetrating his mouth, caused a moan to erupt from Taehyung, which in turn made Jungkook smirk.
He pulled away after a while so that both could regain their breaths. He inched his lips closer to the elder's ear, whispering, "those harnesses wrapped prettily around your waist made you look so hot, baby. You have no idea how much I've been wanting to caress you like this the whole day."
Taehyung threw his head back, moaning once more as Jungkook attached his lips to his neck, kissing up his jaw. Wanting to feel the younger's lips against his own once again, Taehyung grabbed a fistful of Jungkook's hair, pulling him up to his mouth while Jungkook released what sounded very much like a whine.
Their mouths met in another passionate kiss, Jungkook's hands travelling south to the back of Taehyung's thighs. He grabbed them and lifted him up, the elder instinctively wrapping his legs around Jungkook's waist.
Jungkook turned them around and sat Taehyung on the counter without breaking the kiss. His hands caressed his thighs, going up to his waist, over his back, basically touching every bit of Taehyung that he could get his hands on while Taehyung was tugging at his hair with both hands, his legs tightening around Jungkook's waist to keep the boy close to himself.
Amidst their heavy pants, racing heartbeats, devouring lips, overlapping tongues and the moans and groans from each of them, the two failed to hear the sound of the front door opening and the footsteps walking in.
They didn't even notice a set of footsteps walking closer to the kitchen nor the sound of shopping bags falling to the ground. It was only when a loud "Oh My God!" was heard that both of them snapped their heads to the source of the noise.
And on doing so, their eyes widened as big as the four pairs of eyes before them. Taehyung and Jungkook both froze. Their limbs felt numb and their throats dry as they stared back at the other four members who seemed to be just as shocked as the two of them.
No one knew what to say or what to do. Maybe the most rational thing for the two youngest members to do would have been to step away from each other, for the elder of the two to get off the counter, but they were frozen in place with Jungkook standing in between Taehyung's legs, hands still on his waist whereas the elder held onto his shoulders.
"Umm... I think this is the part where you're supposed to tell everyone you two are dating," Jimin voiced out, breaking the silence.
Among all of them, he was the only one who didn't have his eyes practically bulging out and mouth wide open. In addition to already knowing about the two younger members dating, he had walked in on them making out enough times to not be fazed by it anymore.
Everyone snapped their heads in direction of Jimin who sported the most chilled look. "What?!" The hyung line exclaimed, disbelieving and incredulous. They looked towards Taehyung and Jungkook and back to Jimin, their gazes shifting as fast as the gears in their minds as they tried to make sense, or rather believe, what was going on.
"What? Isn't it pretty obvious? You literally just saw them kissing! I mean, they wouldn't be making out like that if they were not dating," Jimin shrugged.
"Hyung!" Jungkook reprimanded, embarrassed, at the same time that Taehyung exclaimed, "Jimin!"
The two of them were also slightly glaring at Jimin for announcing their relationship just like that. "Don't look at me like that, you two," retorted Jimin. "If you wanted to keep it a secret, you shouldn't have been making out in the freaking kitchen for everyone to see!"
Yeah, that part was their fault.
The pair said nothing and didn't move an inch until Seokjin approached them at a fast pace, a fire blazing in his brown eyes. He grabbed Jungkook by the ear and pulled him to the living room which was right across the open kitchen.
"You ungrateful little brat! After all I did to help you, you didn't even tell me you two have finally started dating?!" He exclaimed, clearly exasperated.
"Ouch! I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry," Jungkook repeated over and over, trying to get the eldest to release his painful grip on his ear.
Seokjin finally let go of him only to throw his arms in the air in exasperation. "And on top of that, you almost had sex on my kitchen counter!"
"Hyung!" Jungkook whined, his cheeks becoming redder and redder by the second. "We were only kissing!"
"Yeah, because we had just come in time. I don't even want to imagine the scene we would have witnessed if we were to arrive even a minute later!" Seokjin said, making Jungkook even more flushed.
Taehyung, who had gotten off the counter, was also blushing deeply, though the focus was not on him. Everyone's attention was on the bickering between the oldest and youngest members.
"So, when were you both planning to tell us?" Seokjin asked, an eyebrow raised, as he looked between Taehyung and Jungkook.
Taehyung walked towards them to stand beside Jungkook. Without looking at any of the members, since he was still pretty fearful of the reactions, he said, "we wanted to wait for a while but we would have, I swear. It's just... we were both not really ready to announce it."
"Woahhh so you two are really dating?" asked Hoseok, his eyes still wide open. He seemed rather amazed for some reason.
The two boys concerned nodded their heads slowly while still looking down. Besides being scared, they were embarrassed at the way the guys found out and also felt sorry for not having told it beforehand which led to them finding out in this way.
"And you owe me dinner, Hob-ah," grinned Seokjin.
Hoseok groaned while the others looked at the two a little confused. The main dancer scratched the back of his head in shyness before explaining, "well, we kind of had a bet over you two liking each other, and I said you were just really close to each other while hyung was convinced you really like each other and would end up dating."
The others rolled their eyes. "Can't believe you actually placed bets over us," Jungkook mumbled.
"Wait a minute," Hoseok said. "You already knew Jungkook liked him, so that's cheating!"
"Well, no. At the time we placed it, I wasn't sure. It was confirmed a bit after," replied the eldest. Hoseok huffed, disappointed that he had lost the bet.
"Anyway, since when have you two been dating?" Yoongi asked, speaking for the first time since he had seen the two.
"For around a month now," Taehyung replied. "Four days after Namjoon hyung's accident to be more precise." He was still not looking up, afraid that he would meet eyes that were looking back at him with resentment and disappointment.
Neither him nor Jungkook had no idea what to expect. This was never how the boys were supposed to find out. They should have been the ones to say it, to approach them and tell them they had something important to announce.
"What made you keep it to yourselves for so long?" Namjoon asked, his tone softer than ever.
The tenderness in his tone was what made the two youngest finally look up. "We- we were scared..." Jungkook trailed off, his tone low and voice quivering.
"What were you so scared of?" Yoongi then asked. His tone was so gentle as well, caring as he looked at Taehyung and Jungkook who now had tears in their eyes. He knew it must have been hard for them and he fully understood that.
It was a moment before he received an answer. "We... we didn't want you to ha-hate us," Taehyung said, tears now rolling down his cheeks. Jimin was by his side, rubbing his back soothingly while Seokjin was at Jungkook's side, an arm around the younger boy to comfort him.
The three members of the rap line sighed heavily, Yoongi instantly walking over to wrap his arms around Taehyung on seeing the younger start crying.
"Hey, tiger, don't cry," Yoongi said, stroking his hair while holding him tightly. "None of us could ever hate you both. You are our two little brats and we love you so much. Who you like and are dating doesn't matter. We still love you nevertheless. We might not be related by blood, but you should know we're all family. And families support each other, so whatever it is, I want you to know that we'll always be there for you and you can tell us anything."
All the boys started tearing up at Yoongi's speech. It was indeed true. Their bond overpowered that of being blood-related. They had all known each other for over 5 years now and they would do anything for each others.
Despite being bad with showing affection, Namjoon reached forward to hug Jungkook. Hoseok went behind the boys to wrap his arms around Taehyung and Jungkook's shoulders, simultaneously hugging the two.
After an emotional group hug with the older members assuring the two youngest ones that they will always support and love them no matter what, the seven boys sat down in the living room to discuss about everything that had been going on.
Taking a deep breath, the pair of lovers began recounting what had happened between them the day of the accident. Then, they proceeded to explain each of their points of views since the beginning and how they regretted not having talked to each other about their feelings from the start.
Jimin actively participated in the discussion, saying how he had tried convincing Taehyung to confess time and again since the beginning but the younger had been too scared.
"It's incredible how so much happened and we had no idea," stated Hoseok. "And also, Jimin, how in the world did you manage to keep all this from me? You're such a blabbermouth usually!"
The members laughed at that, Jimin simply shrugging and saying he can keep his mouth shut when he wants to.
"But wait a minute, Seokjin hyung, how did you know about all this?" Namjoon inquired.
"Yeah, how did you?" Taehyung piped in, rather perplexed, since he was certain to have never spoken about that matter to the eldest.
"Well, I certainly am not as well-informed as Jimin, but Jungkook had once told me his side of the story and I had helped him a bit. But obviously, this little brat didn't even have the reverence to tell me when he became Tae's boyfriend!" Seokjin complained.
"Look what you did to them, hyung," Yoongi chuckled, pointing at the two youngest who were both blushing deeply at the mention of 'boyfriend'.
"Don't act all shy, you two, at least not when you were bold enough to make out on the kitchen counter!" Jimin snickered, causing the other members to burst out laughing once more while Taehyung and Jungkook's cheeks became a deeper shade of red.
"Jimin, stop bringing that up!" Taehyung said.
"Anyway, when did that happen?" Taehyung asked to Jungkook and Seokjin.
"You mean when Jungkook told me about his feelings?" the eldest asked for clarification. Taehyung nodded. "Well..."
