CHAPTER 11

This chapter is really just kind of a filler or something. Idek why I wrote it, it literally serves no purpose in the storyline (I mean you could skip it and you wouldn't even miss anything important tbh)

THIRD PERSON POV

One of the things Taehyung was really thankful for was that he never felt any hesitation when it came to apologising to Jungkook and the latter couldn't remain upset at him for long either.

And so, the moment he reached home, he went straight to Jungkook's room and waited for him to come out of the shower. "Ah hyung! You scared me!" The younger exclaimed as he stepped into the room to see Taehyung sitting on his bed.

"Oh? You can see me. I thought I had become invisible," he dead-panned as he watched Jungkook ruffling his wet hair with a towel in an attempt to dry it.

"What?" Jungkook asked, tilting his head in confusion.

"It was not nice of you to ignore me all day, you know?" Taehyung pouted a little.

"It was not nice of you either to forget about our lunch plans," Jungkook stated while folding his arms. He tried keeping a straight face but couldn't prevent his lips from curving into a small amused smile as he watched his hyung childishly pouting, pretending to be deeply saddened.

Taehyung was older than him by almost 2 years but it often felt as if he was the older of the two. The silver-haired boy sighed. "I'm sorry, Jungkook-ah," he apologised. "It's just that Jimin found out about the invitation and he told me about it and I got so excited that I forgot we were supposed to have lunch together today," he explained. He was not totally lying about it. It was partially true, he just didn't mention the most important details.

For a moment, he considered telling Jungkook the truth. About him having travelled in time and everything but he decided against it. He thought it would be strange and Jungkook might not believe him and besides, he didn't want the younger to know his purpose like that.

"Jimin hyung knew already? Ah! No wonder he was acting so overdramatic about the whole thing earlier!" Jungkook exclaimed.

"I know right! Acting is just not for him," Taehyung laughed and Jungkook joined in.

When the laughter died down, Jungkook said, "and hyung, it's fine. Really. I guess I was just overreacting as well."

Taehyung thought about it for a while. He was about to nod and reschedule their plans for another time but an idea popped in his mind. "How about we go out and have some street food? Just the two of us, you know, just like we used to during our trainee days?" He asked.

Jungkook's eyes lit up for a second but then he shook his head, "we can't...especially alone. We'll have to bring a manager along. No one knew us back then, but now we're pretty popular and we just had a comeback too. It might cause problems."

"Come on, Kook! We're just going to eat and besides, no one will see us at night if we wear masks and caps. And I don't see the problem if anyone sees us as well, it's not like we're going out on a date or something," Taehyung reasoned.

Jungkook's cheeks tinted a light shade of pink at the mention of a date. But the older didn't notice it, or rather he chose to ignore it.

"Ok but if we get in trouble, it was your idea and you forced me to come along!" He retorted.

"Yeah, right. You say that every time but you end up defending me in the end," Taehyung chuckled.

They didn't bother getting changed since they were both in shirts and sweatpants. They just grabbed a warm jacket, their mask and a cap each to avoid attracting attention. They walked out of the house without anyone noticing since everyone had already gone to bed by now.

The air outside was cold yet pleasant. Taehyung brought down his mask and inhaled a deep breath which he slowly let out, a content sigh escaping his mouth as he did. It felt refreshing to be out like this after being stuffed in a practice room the whole day. A smile made its way on his lips as he grabbed Jungkook's hand and pulled him along.

"Hyung, you're wearing that mask for a reason, put it back on!" He demanded, refusing to move. As much as he loved seeing that boxy smile and he enjoyed the sight of Taehyung feeling happy, he didn't want to get busted.

"You're no fun," the older pouted but put the mask back on nevertheless. "Let's go!" He exclaimed, his eyes turning into crescents and Jungkook could very well imagine the boxy smile that hid behind that mask. It made him smile as well.

As they walked through the lighted streets, the smell of various foods filled their noses and Jungkook hummed happily. It was pretty late already but the atmosphere out in the busy streets made it feel like it was still seven or eight o'clock.

As Taehyung looked at the different stalls, he turned to the younger and said, "you do realise we're gonna have to take off the masks to eat, right?" A chuckle escaped his lips as he watched Jungkook's eyes widen in realisation. Did he really not think about that?

"Well, let's just take the food back home," he suggested.

"No!" Taehyung immediately protested. "I came here to have a good night while making up for earlier and also to celebrate our new achievement and I'm going to have it! Now take off that mask and follow me," he instructed while taking off his own.

"Come on, it's not that much of a big deal," he said as he saw the younger standing still. The latter sighed in defeat and removed it from his face. Taehyung smiled widely and grabbed his hand, dragging him to some food stall that sold tteokbokki.

Taehyung bought them some and they ate, talking happily while doing so. Jungkook became more at ease after a while and stopped adjusting his cap every 2 seconds. No one had approached them so far and they were thankful for it. Taehyung had to admit that he too was a little scared that they might be surrounded by fans but they weren't.

They spent a few hours out, eating several snacks, buying a few things they found nice and just overall having a good time like they used to in the past. And for Jungkook, the best part was that Taehyung was paying for everything.

They returned home late at night, walking on tiptoe as quietly as possible to make sure not to wake up the members who were definitely sleeping. Both of them were completely exhausted yet really happy about their small outing.

The next morning, however, was totally different from what their night had been. "Okay, you two, where have you been last night?" Namjoon asked though he knew the answer very well.

Taehyung and Jungkook looked down at their feet, feeling a bit guilty but mostly scared since Namjoon was being really strict with them. Something which didn't happen really often. They could literally see the fire burning in his eyes and preferred to avoid it.

Everyone was currently gathered in the living room with the two youngest sitting next to each other while the leader of the group was right in front of them, staring down at them. The other members were just scattered around the room, Yoongi and Hoseok taking the matter quite seriously while Jin and Jimin were just asking Namjoon to cut them some slack.

"I think I asked you two something, didn't I?" Namjoon said.

"I-I'm sorry. It was my idea... we just went out to eat," Taehyung replied, looking up a bit fearfully. "I didn't think it would cause trouble," he admitted honestly, his eyes returning to the tiles beneath his feet.

"Well, you'll have to explain that to Sejin hyung. He's already had a discussion with Bang PD-nim and-"

"No! It's not only hyung's fault. I should've stopped him but I also agreed to go along," Jungkook said.

"Jungkook, you tried to but I dragged you along."

"I don't care whose fault it is but you'll both be explaining that to Sejin hyung," Namjoon said sternly.

"Joon, come on, let them live. It's not a big deal," Seokjin said.

"Not a big deal?!" Namjoon exclaimed. "I woke up this morning to 8 missed calls from Sejin hyung who asked me to check social media and when I did, their pictures were all over the place! Literally everyone knew about it except us who live with them! I know they can go out and all but they should've brought a manager along or at least inform someone. It could've been dangerous." Namjoon was just genuinely worried that something could've gone wrong.

"But nothing happened, right? So it's fine," Jin said.

"Thankfully," Namjoon replied and asked the boys to get ready to go to the studio. They left soon after and when they reached, the first thing they heard was a shout from their manager.

"What the hell were you two even thinking?!"

They kept quiet and waited for him to continue. "You could've at least worn masks!"

"Well we did at first, but you can't possibly eat with a mask on," Taehyung murmured while pouting.

The older man sighed and spoke again, this time more calmly. "Listen you two, I know you're young and you want to go out and have fun but it can be dangerous. What if you had been mobbed by fans? You could've gotten hurt. It's a good thing nothing as such happened but next time, you should ask one of the managers to accompany you or you at least have to inform us so we know where you are if something happens."

Both of them nodded silently and he patted both of their heads as if they were still the 15 years old Taehyung and 13 years old Jungkook they were when he had first met them. "Good, now get back to practice," he smiled.

After going through the new choreographies for their next comeback, Jimin was browsing through twitter when Taehyung joined him. "The fans are convinced you two went on a date," he chuckled.

Taehyung rolled his eyes. "What did it say?" He asked, referring to the articles that had been published by Dispatch in the early morning.

"Nothing much, just that two members of the boy group BTS were out in the streets of Seoul enjoying some snacks last night," Jimin said.

"They're really making a big deal about it," Taehyung commented. The article was not even scandalous, so he didn't understand why everyone was after them like this.

"It's just because they care about you both and they're worried you could've gotten hurt," Jimin replied softly. He then went on in his usual chirpy voice, "the pictures the reporters got are really cute though!"

Taehyung looked into Jimin's phone and saw several pictures of him holding Jungkook's hand and dragging him to food stalls, some others where they were just eating and a few others where they were smiling and laughing with each other as they talked about random stuff.

They looked happy at that moment and Taehyung couldn't help smiling. As he looked at some of the posts and comments of some fans, he wondered what it would have been like if he and Jungkook were actually dating. Probably not much different from how they were now since they were already happy but he couldn't help thinking that if Jungkook also liked him, he would be even more happy.

>>>>>♡<<<<<

Like I said at the beginning, this chapter is so random and I'm sorry you had to read that. At the time I wrote it, I had no idea where the story was heading. But then I cleared my mind and I finally have a proper storyline (yayyy!!)

But since I had already written it, I didn't want to discard it since the end of the previous chapter is kinda connected to this I guess?

Anyway, I'll be using this opportunity to address something really important. Bear with me if it gets long. This chapter was basically just about the two of them going out and getting into trouble because their hyungs were concerned about their safety.

Recently, in Break The Silence, Jin said something about how his friends had told him that they envy his life or smth like that, they said that he doesn't have to worry about his living conditions and he replied to them by saying "you don't have to worry about walking on the streets," implying there's some sort of fear they might feel when they do so. (Obviously I can't totally understand that since I don't live in their minds or smth but well you get what I mean)

Also, in another episode, Jimin and Hobi went out to buy a tablet and while Jimin went to the store, Jhope remained inside the car watching him and he looked and sounded worried when he saw that many fans were surrounding him and taking pictures. Even Jimin said he had to rush out.

This just proves they don't have this freedom to just walk around like normal people. There's always people who'll recognise and attract attention towards them. So I just wanted to say that their privacy should be respected and as fans, we should give them space instead of crowding them. They already have a hard life, dealing with all the fame so we should try easing it for them and maybe if one day, we're lucky enough to see them on the streets somewhere, we should just admire them from afar without attracting attention to them because they wouldn't like that. They're also humans like us and even though they're famous, sometimes they just want to live freely like all of us.

Which also brings me to the 2nd thing (told ya it would be long, sorry but I felt this needed to be said) which is the way some so called armys have been throwing Jungkook under the bus when that whole Itaewon issue was raised. I was so disappointed to see some people accusing him without even knowing the laws the korean government had passed at the time that this happened.

People seem to forget that he's only a 22 year old who has spent most of his teenage life as a trainee. He did have any close friends besides his members and was so introverted. Even now, he's always busy with being an idol but you all need to remember that he has a life aside from being an idol.

Not only Jungkook but Eunwoo, Jaehyun and Mingyu, all of them are young men in their early 20s. They probably don't even have time to hang out together due to their busy schedules and they probably need to check and cross check loads of times before being able to plan an outing.

And people had the audacity to bash them for just wanting to hang out together like any other young people out there? There were probably many more people hanging out during these days but do you see anyone calling them out? No! Why? Because they're not idols. So what? Are idols not humans too? Don't they have the right to spend time among friends that they'll probably not be meeting for months? Talk about being fair!

Not only that but it fuelled my anger when I saw them apologising when they hadn't even done anything so wrong. But you know what angered me further? What broke my heart even more? It was when Jungkook was on Yoongi's live the other day and at the end, he apologised, saying he was sorry for upsetting so many people. He said that he was nervous to come on the show and talk to us! Do you all realise how much this must have affected him for him to be nervous to talk to ARMYs?

Jungkook loves us so so much and it's just so sad that he had to feel that way. And if you want to talk about how idols are supposed to set the proper example for us all, then here's my answer: JUNGKOOK IS THE BESTEST BOY and no one can change that.

He literally has a heart of gold, he always bows 90° to everyone when he's on stage, he's always there to help (for example when the staff was moving the camera wires during that one award show or when he tripped on something that was broken on stage and fixed it so that no one would fall and get hurt or when he helped the staff clear the stage after their performance or when he wiped water off the stage because he didn't want any of the members to slip and have injuries and the list goes on and on) and he cares so much for everyone.

And I'm not saying all this just because he's been my bias since the start because he's really the purest boy out there. He has ARMY tattooed on his knuckles, has a tattoo that says "please love me", he always gives his best to make us happy by making GCFs, covers and there was a time he was doing weekly groupchats on fancafe and an ex BigHit staff said that the boys are constantly checking what ARMYs are up to on twitter, and especially Jungkook does so the most while waiting or on standby at work.

He doesn't deserve this hate and it pains me to know that he had to go through something like this when all he wants is the happiness and well being of others around him. He's so selfless and kind but haters are always targeting him. Honestly he only deserves happiness and love and I really wish I could protect him and remind him how much he's loved all the time :(((

Just like Jungkook, even the other boys are amazing people and don't deserve the way they've been treated. They're still so young and things like these happen but all of it was just blown out of proportion! But it was still great how ARMYs, NCTzens, CARATs and AROHAs came together to defend our boys against those who were just putting them down.

Anyway, I hope that Jungkookie feels better now and that he doesn't blame himself or goes hard on himself because of all this. We all know how sensitive he is and how much he undermines himself when he's literally one of the best people to ever exist! We don't deserve him T_T

Wow that got really long...again sorry for ranting like that. And thank you for actually reading this. Please vote, comment and share the story! I love you all! See you soon <3
