Amber's POV.

This meeting is going well so far. Alpha Ronan looks like he's about to faint. It's really quite funny to see.

I look at Alpha Benjamin. " On the night of Alpha George's murder, where we're you?" I ask.

Alpha Benjamin was calm. " I was standing next to Alpha Kurt as we talked to his mother. We were having a pleasant conversation about my mates pregnancy. " he replies.

" Where were your Bète and guards at the time of the murder?" I ask.

" They we're in the kitchen eating some snacks the Luna had the chef's prepare for us all. " says Alpha Benjamin.

I nod in reply to that. This is going smoothly. I lock eyes with Kurt and he gives me a small nod. " Why did you decide to help us with the pack war?" I ask.

" Alpha George has been a very dear friend of mine. His pack, I consider them my pack as well. I know he would never have left my pack on its own if I was having a fight come to my pack. I would never have left him alone in his packs time of need. " he replied.

I feel some fondness at his answer. He was always close to Alpha George. They were always there for each other.

" After the gun went off, what did you do?" I ask.

" I was in the middle of saying something when we heard a bang and suddenly the Luna was screaming. I wanted to help her, but Bète Rick told me to go check on what's going on. So that's what I did. As I made it there I saw Alpha George on the ground and Kurt coming out of the woods. " says Alpha Benjamin.

" Did you see anything suspicious before the murder?" I ask.

" No Luna. I didn't see anything suspicious, but I believe one of my guards told me he smelt a weird scent close to the pack house. We never had a chance to investigate. " says Alpha Benjamin.

" Thank you for letting me know. I can take that information and go investigate once I get back to my pack." Says Alpha Kurt.

I nod in response. " Do you think anyone here could be involved in the murder in anyway?" I ask.

He shakes his head. " No Luna Amber. We are all very loyal Alpha's. I don't believe that a single one of us here would be that evil to join up with rogues or murder an Alpha." Says Aloha Benjamin.

I nodded in response. I see Alpha Ronan lean over a little and his looks as white as a sheet. I have to refrain from smirking at it.

" We're you 100 recent honest with me?" I ask.

He nods. " Yes Luna Amber. " he answers. I look at Phillip.

He nods in reply. " He told the truth. " says Phillip.

I nod. Then I feel something I haven't felt in a long time. It's like something is pulling me, calling out to me, begging for me.

I feel tears well up in my eyes. I can't breath. ' MATE!!! ' screamed my wolf suddenly.

I quickly looked at the others. " I need a break. Everyone please leave? " I ask.

They nod and most leave. Now it's just Kurt, Cassandra, Tasha and Alpha Conan with me. I start breathing fast with a hand over my heart.

I close my eyes and try hard to focus on this feeling. My wolf just cried out for our mate. Desperately wanting him.

I haven't felt this since he got kidnapped. Could he be recovering? What does this mean?

Suddenly there's a hand on my shoulder and another whipping wetness from my cheeks. It only then that I realize I'd been crying. That I am currently crying.

I look through blurry eyes and she the outline of Tasha. I blink furiously to clear the tears from my vision. I then see all their concerned faces looking at me.

" I...I ca-can feel him. " I say.

Gasps were heard. I had gotten the ones that were out of the room out of the mind link we had going on so it was only everyone in this room, plus the two who were still at their own packs. Tasha sits down by me and doesn't say a word.

She merely pulls me to her chest and hugs me. I just start to sob. I'm happy and terrified at the same time. I don't know what to do with these feelings.

' Where is Connor?!" I demand over mind link.

' He's still in my prison. Clayton is watching over him still. ' says Alpha Anthony.

' Are you positive? Add Clayton to this mind link now. I need to know. ' I cry.

Suddenly I can feel Clayton and his rapid panicked thoughts. It almost feels like he's running. Why would he be running?

' Clayton. What's wrong? Where is my mate. ' I ask.

I can feel the panic in him. Something has happened. Connor!!

Suddenly it's like my wolf has taken over and screams into the mind link making everyone flinch. ' WHERE IS MY MATE CLAYTON?!!! TELL ME NOW!!!!!' I let out a small roar of anger at what my wolf feels.

We feel a spike of pain from Clayton. My wolf yelling at him must have made him fall. I'd laugh if I wasn't so emotional right now.

' He escaped. He's heading to you now!' Says Clayton.

' WHAT?!!! YOU LET HIM ESCAPE!!!  HOW DARE YOU!! IF HE GETS HURT I WILL SKIN YOU ALIVE?!!!!' Snarled my wolf.

I can practically feel Clayton submitting to my Luna power from there. We hear a whine through the mind link. A pain filled one.

' I'm sorry. This wasn't my intention. He woke from a nightmare about Fenris killing his mom. We got to talking and he knows who his mate is and that Fenris is the bad guys. He's one his way to you Amber. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. ' cries Clayton.

My mate seems to calm down then. I take a deep breath. I have to feel back my anger.

' Relax Clayton. I'm sorry for being so angry. There's something else you need to tell me. ' I state. I can feel him hiding the information in his mind.

' Connor said that there are rogues outside each pack ready to go I and kill everyone in sight once Connor gets the signal. Him getting captured was part of the plan. He's coming to warn you that Fenris is outside your pack Amber. Be prepared for war. Don't make any sudden movements to alert them that we know. ' cried Clayton.

All of us freeze on the spot. My rage is like a raging fire that's getting bigger and bigger. My wolf in practically howling in anger.

' Everyone alert your packs. Now. We will continue the meeting as planned. ' I say.

They all nod in response and everyone leave the mind link to contact their packs. " Conan. Go alert as many wolves as you can. If they want to fight. Then we will fight for this pack. They will pay for what they've done. " I say. Conan nods and walks out to do just that.

" After I interrogate you Kurt, while I'm confronting Ronan. I want you and the others to move to block the door. He's not escaping this one. If we end up fighting. Stay away from Fenris. He's mine!!!" I snarl. They all nod in response.

These rogues don't know what their getting themselves into. I will protect my pack until my last breath. They will learn never to mess with us again.

I sit and straighten my self out. I take a small wipe from Tasha and wipe any evidence of tears from my face. I feel in my anger and take a deep breath.

I look at Tasha. " Please let Clayton know I am deeply sorry. I never meant to hurt him. " I say. She smiles.

" I will. Don't worry. He will be fine. You be you Amber. Keep doing what you doing. We got your back. " says Tasha.

I grin at her and position myself correct. " Ok let them back in. It's time to get this show on the road. " I say.

They nod and with that we open the doors to begging the meeting once gain.
