Trying to deter Liesel in guessing the destination was hard, near on impossible even. Especially when last calls for boarding sounded out. She turned and looked at him eagerly only to pout and slouch back in the seat when she received nothing but a blank look from him. Erik was not giving anything away, which clearly irked her greatly. He smirked, getting a little satisfaction out of this, she'd thank him in the end. He knew that much, he also knew that there was a likelihood of a possible breakdown. He didn't want to see her cry, he'd never enjoyed the experience of sadness and her, not that anyone would enjoy seeing this when it involved someone close, someone they cared for; but it would still be worth it, he hoped. Happy sad, not certain how that worked but if anyone could couple the two contrasting emotions together, it would be Liesel.
Standing slowly he looked down at her expectedly. "Oh, we're going now?" She asked dryly, Erik frowned and crossed his arms. He wasn't even going to answer her. She had been expecting to get on a plane as soon as they had arrived, they had been waiting for half an hour, if that. But she was growing impatient by the second, she evidently just wanted to get going as soon as...life didn't work like that, sadly enough.
"Need help?" He offered instead, Liesel shook her head yet sent a thankful smile up to him anyway. He stepped back and watched as she awkwardly managed to get herself to stand. The whole action of her standing looked so strained, and uncomfortable.
Once she was stable, she looked to him and nodded. Erik turned and led the way, he could hear the steady clicking noise of the crutches touching down to the tiled floor. He also could vaguely hear Liesel grumbling away to herself, Erik looked over his shoulder and noticed how people weren't exactly being the most accommodating. He stepped back and kept by her side, this seemed to deter people from blatantly almost barging into her. Erik frowned, people truly were quite oblivious. Why would they try and make a task so much harder for someone? Could they not already see that Liesel was having a hard time?
Being side by side though made it easier for her, seeing as how he was staying close people now had no option but to walk around them. There were a few who seemed to have it in mind to cut down the middle, but one blank look from Erik made them think otherwise. When those few occasions happened, Liesel couldn't help but not laugh quietly. Erik would just glance at her plainly, and she would laugh more and shake her head. He certainly had a way of putting people off.
By the time they got to actually sitting down in the plane, Liesel was more than ready to sleep, and Erik was more than ready to stay alert and watching; someone had to, considering she was still in a state of healing it couldn't be Liesel. Not that he was expecting her to get any wholesome sleeping time on board, but something was better than nothing. Like usual, she point blank refused to sit near the window, even if this meant having to sit beside someone who didn't seem to have a filter on their mouth and was just yammering away.
Erik turned and looked at her, "Are you certain you don't want to swap?" He asked quietly, the problem with Liesel was that she kept looking at the man, and by doing so it made it look like she cared for whatever it was that was coming from his mouth. Liesel didn't want to make it too obvious, but she nodded slowly. Erik and her managed to shift seats and as soon as he sat down in her seat, the man shut up. The blatant aura of not caring was radiating off of Erik, it caused the man to let out an awkward cough and go silent.
Liesel hid her smile behind her hand while the other reached up and pulled the blind down. She didn't want to look out of a window, no thank you, she was quite fine without that in her life. Turning and looking to Erik, she managed to get somewhat comfortable with one leg supporting her cast covered one at the ankle. "How long are we going to be on here for?"
Erik looked thoughtful, "At a rough guess? Eleven hours, maybe twelve." Liesel's mouth dropped open, this must seriously be one of the longest plane journeys she was ever going to do. He reached up and placed a finger under her chin and pushed up, shutting her mouth again. He smiled thinly, "You wanted to get away." He said simply, "Consider this us getting away." He gestured a hand simply in the air before crossing his arms and leaning back in the seat.
"...Another country?"
"Yes," Erik tilted his head on the headrest and looked to her. Liesel sat twiddling her fingers, clearly trying to guess where their destination was, again. It was like being with a bored child, any minute now Erik could swear she would crack out eye spy. If she did...honestly, he just didn't even want to think about this.
"Cool," Liesel shut her eyes and smiled.
Erik wasn't quite expecting that, she seemed to drop the subject quite quickly. Maybe she was growing bored of forever failing to get an answer. He wasn't honestly going to answer her. Anyway, seeing as how she was now silent and attempting to get some sleep, he did one last scan of everything and everyone and settled down too. He wasn't exactly expecting any trouble on the plane. So far there had been very little trouble. He might be expecting too much, but he was relaxing and accepting the fact that both were getting away from any possible trouble which could've hunted them out.
If they stayed in America, it didn't take a genius to know that both or individually they'd wind up in some sort of trouble. He'd be recaptured, maybe, and because she had been seen with him there'd be a manhunt on for her. No, staying there was going to end in tragedy. Erik opened his eyes slightly when there was weight against his shoulder. Liesel had seemingly got uncomfortable sitting upright and had turned slightly onto her side, legs still stretched out, but her head resting on his shoulder and her arms resting on the arm rest between them.
Leaning his head on top of hers, he glanced to the window; not that he could see anything thanks to the blind, he was tempted to open it and have a look at the tarmac now disappearing from sight as they took off, but he knew the reaction from Liesel would not be good. She would be so far from appreciative if she woke up and turned to the side and looked out at the clouds and ocean below. Knowing her she'd react badly, she'd attempt to use her powers as a reflex and it would all go downhill fast. She'd hurt herself in the process, and most likely kill the electronics on board, he'd have to step in and then they'd be clearly noticed and so much for getting away silently and secretly.

The bumping and halting of the plane rocked the passengers in their seats, the slow decline in speed as the vehicle went across the tarmac caused a quiet murmur to go through the cabin. Even before getting the all clear, people were already attempting to leave their seats. Some had even reached into the overhead storage spaces and grabbed their carry on luggage out. By the time the plane was ready for its passengers to walk off, they were all ready and bustling out of the door. There was a lot of pushing in the aisle, Erik watched while Liesel blearily blinked and looked on too. They hadn't moved from their seats, opting to be some of the last off and not get stuck in the throng of people.
By the time the end of the line came into view, Erik stood out of his seat and helped Liesel hop along the row until she got to the aisle. Placing the crutches down she followed him to the narrow passageway and out of the plane. An air hostess stood near the door, grinning widely and wishing them that they had a nice trip. They exchanged a look, this wasn't a trip, this was a chance at a new life. Liesel was still rather none the wiser, she didn't have a clue where she was until she caught sight of sign overhead, she let out a breathless sound and stumbled almost. She was rocky at best on her feet with these crutches, but seeing as how she was back in Poland, she was all the more unstable.
Turning she practically fell into Erik, he steadied her by placing his arms around her. She nudged her head against his shoulder and squeezed her eyes shut. Erik kissed the top of her head before leaning his head against hers, he looked around at the rushing people. They seemed to be the only two standing still right now. "Welcome home," he whispered to her which caused a sad sound to come from her, by the way her shoulders were shaking he was pretty certain she was crying.
He knew this was likely to happen, so he just stood and allowed her to have her moment. He had thought long and hard about places to go. There was a whole world of places, countries that neither had ever been to. But would they be happy in a strange place? Most likely, yes. But would it be better to be in known surroundings? Yes. Although Poland had changed greatly since the last time either were here, Liesel had always pointed out that she was never truly as happy anywhere else, as she was when she was in the country she grew up in. So it made sense to come back here. This was the country where they had first originally met, regardless of the horrid circumstances; even with that, it didn't mean they couldn't start afresh here.
Pulling away, Liesel managed to lean a crutch against herself while she wiped at her eyes. She smiled thankfully up at him, reaching up once she was certain her cheeks were dry of tears. She tugged him down to her level and kissed him. Her fingers threaded into his hair, and Erik responded gently, he placed his hands on her shoulders to steady her as she leaned against him. "Thank you," she whispered with barely any space between them. Erik just smiled, he smoothed hair out of her face and looked about. Tentatively pushing her away he nodded to the side, she had to collect her bag and then with that they could then leave this space.
