"I hear there is some sort of party happening downstairs, and you are missing out." Upon noticing how one person was missing from this supposed party, it didn't take Erik long to figure out where Liesel would be.
She tilted her head to the side and looked over her shoulder at him. She was sitting on the ledge again with her legs over the side. "Partying with children, how fun."
"You do realise you just called Darwin a child too? And here I thought you had a new friendship on the horizon." Erik smiled while leaning against the ledge and looking up at her.
"Did your meeting not go well?" Liesel decided to ask instead, ignoring his words with a quick glare. There had to be some reason as to why he had searched her out, she just presumed it was the meeting himself and Charles were in had not panned out quite like they thought.
"It isn't that." Since returning both himself and Charles got called to a meeting. It was more what resulted from this meeting which caused him a moment to pause. Russia, they were to go to Russia. Considering the last time he parted ways from her she went and caused problems, he wasn't too optimistic about that not repeating itself.
"There is no clearance for the new mutants?"
"No, it isn't that. By all means fighting fire with fire seems like something that everyone is fine with."
"So?" Liesel turned and looked down at him. She sat cross legged without much care about the plummet now behind her. Erik looked at her sadly, if she fell; he wouldn't be much help to save her. So as such, he stepped back and waved a hand at her. With a sigh she slipped herself off of the ledge and looked to him.
"Charles and I are going away for a bit."
"A bit?" She looked truly puzzled over his choice of words.
"You are not to have a moment like you did last time. Seriously, I don't want to return and hear all about you ranting and raving to any agent possible, understood?"
"How long is a bit?" Liesel questioned, ignoring his previous words.
Erik sighed and shook his head. "I don't know."
"Least you were decent enough to find me."
"You thought I'd just leave?" He frowned slowly and watched as she leaned back against the ledge.
"Nein, rather I thought you would lie."
"Trust me, if I tried to lie about what was really going on, you would know." Erik smirked and gave a sure nod. If anyone would know he was lying, it would surely be Liesel.
"Where are you going?"
"Russia." Erik replied and watched as she frowned slowly.
"You have not been there, check that off of the list." Liesel said while smiling. "Jealous, though." She looked up at the night sky. "You will be gone for a bit, indeed." She mused and tilted her head, "Be careful."
"Be careful, come back in one piece, yes, yes." He repeated dryly while waving a hand at her. He flinched slightly when she flicked him on the arm which resulted in a sudden shock to travel through him. "Did you have to?"
"Stop joking at my concern for you! It is not funny." Liesel frowned and pushed away from the ledge. "I'm rather certain you came here just to say bye to me. Which means that Charles is waiting for you somewhere. Think you should go, no? Best not keep him waiting." Liesel said flatly while walking through the door and moving back into the building.
Erik rolled his eyes, they could never just part like how normal people did. No, they always needed to apparently part on an argument. Walking after her he fell into step beside her, "Bring you back a souvenir."
This caused Liesel to laugh. "Yes, I would like that. Apart from I do not believe you are going to central Russia, are you? See, then your plan is foiled. Yet I thank you for the thought, Erik." Liesel smiled and patted him on the arm before spotting Charles. He turned on his heels and upon seeing the person he was looking for, he came walking over.
"I wondered where you went! Liesel, hello and goodbye."
She raised an eyebrow, "That was...blunt."
"We have an urgent plane to catch."
"Yes, I know." Liesel rolled her eyes. "I was told." Charles looked a little reserved, "I'll behave! Can't say the same about the others though." She smiled, she wasn't involved in that little party. Whoever's brainchild that was got shot down by the sounds of the shouting which Liesel could hear up on the roof, mainly Moira's scolding. For once since being here, Liesel had behaved. She hadn't destroyed no statue, that was for sure. Well done Alex.
Erik merely sighed and nodded at Charles. "Ready?"
"Yes, you?" Charles looked between the two, they exchanged a look and nodded.
"See you both later then, good luck, good night, and goodbye." Liesel said with a smile while turning and walking back the way she came. She had full intentions of spending as long as possible on the roof.
Though after about half an hour on the roof, Liesel was pulled from her thoughts by a familiar sound. She had taken to laying on the ledge, arms tucked underneath her head and legs outstretched. She was enjoying the peace, because it was truly peaceful. No one had come for her, and there was no other noises from the outside world. Though the peace suddenly ended with that sound, and the sound of something falling. Liesel watched as a form fell past her and to the ground below. She listened to the sickening sound of impact, a person had fallen from the sky. Sitting up and jumping off of the ledge she watched as another followed suit, followed by another. Gritting her teeth she clapped her hands together, there was a second of opportunity here. Which was faster, lightning or teleportation? She was certainly going to find out because low and behold Azazel appeared in the sky holding onto some random suited male. As soon as she saw him, Liesel threw her arms outwards.
The shard hit him and he twitched and jolted in the air; letting himself fall from the impact he teleported at the last second, the man he had clutched onto fell to the roof across from her. Liesel stood and placed her hands to the ledge, "Get up." She said through gritted teeth, after all he hadn't had a great distance to fall. A few moments passed and she saw the male stand up, wobbling and confused; but otherwise alive. "Stay down!" Liesel shouted across to him just as the familiar sound appeared behind her. Turning she looked to the red skinned, black clothed male.
"Hello again, comrade." Azazel said with a serious, yet sarcastic tone before disappearing. Liesel stood still for a moment before feeling the energy in the air to her right disperse, throwing her arm outwards; her fist connected with his shoulder and not wasting any time, he disappeared.
Shaking her hand Liesel ran for the door. She didn't know where he would reappear, or when. Though she could minutely sense him, there wasn't anything to say that the next time she'd fail. Panting and jumping down the stairs, she ran past empty office rooms with lights and things still in place. Clearly whoever was in here, wasn't anymore thanks to the teleporter. Feeling a sudden judder from below, she sunk to her knees before pushing herself upright and running onwards. Even as she ran down the stairs she could hear frantic crying, screaming, and shooting. Liesel clapped her hands to her ears, this place had just turned into a war zone. And each noise she heard was as horrifying as the next.
Stopping in a corridor she looked to the lifeless bodies below her, her gaze followed them directly to the shared mutant space. Inhaling deeply she shook her hands, she was scared. Stomping a foot she stepped forwards, that one step picked up pace and soon she was jogging down the corridor; jumping over and around the lifeless agents below her. Pushing open the door she caught the tail end of: "And I'm not here to hurt you." Before she vaulted forwards and with all the stored energy as possible launched herself at the man she hated most in the world. Being gripped onto by the neck, Liesel struggled. Whatever she sent his way was simply absorbed. Being tutted at as her vision darkened, Liesel scratched at the hand around her. She was minutely aware to the noises of the other mutants, the quiet murmurings and crying; and here she was being choked, silent.
"Liesel! Fancy seeing you here." Shaw grinned happily at her as she hung from his grasp. Looking to the side he smiled at the small group again. Continuing on from his earlier words, he simply said: "Unless you're an idiot." And at this the attack Liesel sent his way was returned and she went hurting into the bar area. The bottles and glasses on the shelves, and the shelves themselves impacted against her back as she suddenly screamed from the pain. "That's what happens to idiots. Don't be an idiot." Shaw paused, he looked in the direction of where Liesel landed, but she hadn't sprung back up. With a sigh, he looked to the group in front of him. "My friends, there's a revolution coming. When mankind discovers who we are, what we can do, each of us will face a choice. Be enslaved or rise up to rule. Choose freely, but know that if you are not with us, then by definition, you are against us. So, you can stay and fight for the people who hate and fear you. Or you can join me, and live like kings and queens."
Even as Liesel lay hurting and blacking out she listened to this pretentious speech. She struggled to push herself onto her elbows. A horrible wheezing sound came from her, along with the tinkering sound of glass falling from her person. Though she could very well still feel shards protruding her person, these though were becoming numb. In fact, she in general felt numb. How could this happen? Honestly how could something like this happen? What precautions did these people honestly take to keep them from the clutches of this madman? If they all declined, Liesel was very sure he wouldn't waste time in killing them. But then, shaking her head to get rid of the foggy feeling, she had to remind herself that Shaw did all he could do for their kind. In fact, he would not kill them. Unless there was a reason.
Liesel withheld a groan of pain as she tried to move, by sounds of it Angel had decided to move to Shaw's side, which caused many exclaims and protests. Liesel wanted to shout out how idiotic that move was. But couldn't find her voice, reaching up she touched her neck. Parts were tender, and in fact sticking out from the joint of her lower jaw was a piece of glass. It must have got stuck in there when she fell and landed on the glass below her.
Letting out a wheeze she reached up and slammed a hand to the counter. Hauling herself up she leaned against it for support for a few moments before opening her eyes. She was very much aware to the others looking at her with surprise. They clearly thought she was a goner by what just happened to her. She hated to give him credit, but a past with Shaw had made her stronger. A hell of a lot stronger than she ever thought. Pulling herself up and over she narrowed her eyes, why was Darwin with them too? Resisting the urge, real bad to shout names at them, she stood on shaky legs. Looking down she whined, there was glass sticking out of her legs too. Hanging her head she moved forwards.
"Oh?" Shaw asked while finally noticing her moving out to them. "Are you wanting to come too?" He had just absorbed the attack the blonde sent his way, and had full intention of sending it in someone's direction, only to notice Liesel.
"I would rather die." Liesel said while smiling up at him. Pushing forwards she sent another shard of sparking energy his way before grabbing Darwin and high tailing it the best she could. Seeing as how he was the nearest, it didn't take a genius to figure who was going to get got. Like any person who didn't get his own way, Shaw threw the energy to the building; ultimately having a slight tantrum before Azazel grabbed a hold of his hand and teleported them all away.
"Liesel!" Darwin simply caught her as she went suddenly limp by his side. "Hey! Open your eyes!"
"Nein."
"Come on, open up, you can't go to sleep now. We have stuff to do, yeah?" By now the others had gathered and were trying to think of the best way to lay her down. Each which way was either covered in a scorch mark, from her own absorbed attack, or bruises from the impact of the wall and shelves, or shards from the bottles and glasses.
Liesel merely shook her head limply while murmuring something. "Anyone understand German?" Sean looked about those gathered.
"I said it hurts...it hurts so much...it burns..." Liesel's eyes opened dimly and looked about before finally shutting and ceasing in moving in Darwin's hold. He shook her a few times to try and get her to respond, but it was for nothing. She was unconscious, and there was very little he could do or the others to wake her up.
