When You're Sick

Tanjiro:

Tanjiro is a total mother hen over you, making sure you're safely in bed with a cool cloth over your head and water at your bedside, and bringing you warm soup. If it lasts for several days, he'll help you to the bathroom when you need it, bathing you and helping you change clothes. It's embarrassing for you, but he doesn't mind at all.

If you're too weak to eat it yourself, he's perfectly content with feeding you, letting you rest against him as he brings the spoon to your mouth.

He's honestly the perfect person to care for you, having had lots of experience in taking care of his sick siblings (and his father) before.

Nezuko:

Nezuko frets over you while she's awake, making you stay down in bed and keeping your cloth cool. When someone brings you soup, she's there at your side, helping you eat it. She'll sleep next to you, holding you close; her body runs colder than a normal human's, perfect for when you overheat in the night and need some reprieve.

She doesn't mind helping you with whatever it is you need, and if you get into the bath she'll likely get in with you to help you. She's very tentative and careful, but it's clear she's retained some of her human memories from the way she cares for you.

Zenitsu:

Zenitsu freaks out at first. You never get sick, and yet here you are, burning up in bed with a horrible fever. Then he gets his wits about him and goes totally overboard in trying to help you, piling you with blankets and making sure your cloth is always cool and wet. He enlists a bit of help in making you a big bowl of soup, and absolutely insists on helping you eat it.

He'll be blushing bright red to the tips of his ears if he has to help you to the bathroom or to help you bathe and change clothes, but he'll do it regardless; he really loves you and wants you to be comfortable. He's a bit of a crybaby about the whole thing, but you still feel reassured that he's right there with you.

Inosuke:

Inosuke doesn't exactly jump to help you. At first, he's confused, demanding to know why you've slept in when you're usually awake before he is. When you tell him why, he looks like he gets it. He leaves you to sleep it off for the most part, but if he gets extra bored he'll sit beside you, watching as you sleep.

When someone brings in soup for you to eat, he lets you rest your body against him while you eat it -- and he asks you questions. He's never really gotten sick before, not anything past a stomach bug. If you need to use the bathroom, he'll help you, but he'll carry you there instead of help you walk. If you need to bathe, he'll just get in with you, completely nonchalant about your nakedness.

He's a bit standoffish, but mostly because he doesn't really know what to do. But he's enthusiastic in helping, so you don't have to worry about annoying him that much.

Giyuu:

Giyuu sees your illness and quietly gets to work, making sure you're comfortable and keeping your cloth cool and damp. He makes you some medicinal tea and soup to eat, and when you wake up hungry he's there, helping you eat and drink. When you have to get up, he helps you without complaint, his usual blank face softened towards you.

He hears out all of your wishes, and although he wishes he could do more for you, he's content to stay with you until you're better. At night he lays in bed beside you so that he can be there if you need him.

Kyojuro:

Kyojuro is so compliant that his sunny demeanor makes you feel a bit better just by being around him. If you got sick at his home, he and his brother are there to help you. Kyojuro will make sure you're comfortable before helping Senjuro make some soup, the boy bringing it in for you to eat. Kyo helps you whenever you need to get up, and if you need to bathe he's right there with you, helping you wash.

He's really good at taking care of you, given that he's had to take care of his sick family members before, especially after his mother died. He's an amazing nurse with an upbeat attitude, the best of both worlds.

Muichiro:

Since Muichiro hardly ever gets sick anymore, he doesn't really know what to do at first; but eventually he gets you some medicine and soup to try and fight the fever. Since you just sleep for most of the time, he goes out to get some training in. If you need something, though, if you call he'll be there to help you.

He's kind of standoffish, but he's a quiet, comforting presence when you need him.

Shinobu:

Of course you'd be getting five-star care from Shinobu if you were sick. This woman knows all the tricks to get you feeling better in no time at all, from medicine to just letting you rest. She's attentive when she's not super busy; if she happened to have some other pressing matters, you at least had the Butterfly Girls and Aoi to help you. The triplets are cute (and eager) enough that they make you feel a bit better just from seeing them out and about, and Aoi is vigilant and kind.

Out of all of them, she's the one you'd want to be with if you got sick, because ain't no sickness staying for long when she knows about it.

Gyomei:

Gyomei tucks you in with a cool cloth and some water and lets you rest. He prays for you for most of the time, though he does make some soup for you to eat when you request it. He's attentive and patient, though he does cry a bit too easily. If you ever complained of an ache or something, there'd be tears running down his face while he massages the sore muscles.

He has no problem carrying you to the bathroom or to bathe, and while he'd a gentleman when you're changing, if you needed help, he'd be in to help you.

Sanemi:

Sanemi gets mad at you at first, demanding to know why you've slept in, but when he realizes you're sick, he kinda freaks out and makes you stay in bed. He brings in some water for your bedside and a cool cloth, making you go back to sleep while he makes some soup for you.

If you ever call for him, he'll be there, and if you need to get up he'll go with you. He's freakishly patient with you, way moreso than usual, not even grumbling if you send him out for something cold to eat. While you sleep at night, he stays with you, watching over you and gently admonishing you for not taking better care of yourself.

Akaza:

It's been a long, long time since he was sick, so he doesn't really remember what to do at first. But eventually he remembers what he used to do for Koyuki. For the most part he lets you sleep, makes sure you have plenty of water, and whatever you need, he'll get for you. When you get hungry, he brings you something warm and filling. He helps you whenever you need to get up, never complaining and generally being a sweetheart.

He gets concerned over your condition easily (and it's no wonder why), so he makes it his mission to get you what you need to get better and watch over you. Since his body is colder than a human's, he lays next to you at night so that you can have something cold to snuggle up to (though he's blushing the whole time).

Douma:

Douma's never been sick, so he doesn't know what to do. For the most part, he leaves you to your own devices. He usually lets his attendants tend to you, since they'd know what it is you need and they'll be around longer than he can (since he still has services to attend, of course).

If you do need or want something that only he can get, he has no problem with getting it, or if you want to cuddle, he's happy to let you curl up to him in bed, since he can admire your beauty while you sleep.

Kokushibo:

It's been centuries since he was sick, so he doesn't know of modern methods to deal with it. At first, he tries things he recalls from his own childhood, but eventually he just goes out and gets some medicine. He's not very present when you get sick, but sometimes you'll be able to feel his presence nearby, watching over you.

Muzan:

Muzan remembers quite well what it feels like to be sick, and he doesn't want you to suffer more than you need to, so he's very attentive to your needs. He makes sure you're comfy, with lots of liquids, and if you need to get up he'll help you. He doesn't trust anyone else with you, though if he has to be away from you he'll reluctantly let one of his Upper Moons tend to you (only Kokushibo and Akaza though; he doesn't trust Douma around you for obvious reasons).

If he does have to be away from you, it's never for very long though. He wants to make sure you're absolutely safe, so he'll likely just take you from your apartment to stay in the Fortress until you're well enough.

Yoriichi:

Yoriichi cared for his mother a lot in his youth, so for the entirety of your sickness he's at your side, making sure you're well-rested and drinking lots of water. He mixes up some medicinal tea faithfully at every opportunity that the doctor recommends and makes sure you drink it all.

If you need to get up, he's right there with you, helping you do whatever it is you need to. If you need to bathe, he's there, if you need to change clothes, he'll help you. He's a sweetheart and dotes on you like a mother hen.
