Soft (Shu x Lui)
If I've never met him...
My life would have been better...
But worse at the same time...
Now without him, I don't think I can live...
If I'm the water, he's the ocean...
If I'm the dog, he's the leash...
He's got me in every way....
And someone like me couldn't help but fall for his sinister beauty.
I walked towards the Beigoma, it's been a while since I've came here. Five years to be precise, if you don't count on me coming here to train Aiger or me coming here and battling Fubuki for the first time.
It was vacation for all the schools, so I walked into an empty building. There was the training machine Aiger installed in those days when he still was a rookie. Then the animal farm, and the two doors, one leading to the school's main entrance and the other leading to the beyblading room.
I smiled as memories came flooding back to me as I took every step inside the school. The floors where we all had started beyblading, and I remembered that here was the place where Valt battled honcho for the first time. I missed all of those days. When I had only started beyblading and was constantly losing to Valt, until I decided to man up and gain my own strength. Though the strength took me to a wrong way at a point. And even then, he crushed me.
Lui Shirosagi.
I sighed. The tag battles were over a month ago, with those loud twins winning, not that I'm complaining though. They really changed Lane, and I'm happy for him. Lane really needs to social more, he can't keep hugging Harry forever.
I suddenly remembered something and almost ran to the empty principal's office.
I smiled as I saw the pictures. Of the class group photos of every year. I searched every pictures and I found what I've been looking for.
The picture was of when I was 7 and Valt was 6. That was the year when Xhaka came to town for the first time. Even if he didn't study in our school, principal Shinoda kindly allowed him to stand alongside us in the group photo. There was me standing between Valt and Moon. Xhaka was standing on the other side of Valt. Rantaro, Daigo, Ken, Wakiya or Hoji weren't even in the school then. But there was Momoko and her gang, other old friends of Valt and me and even Wakiya's father, who had came to meet the principal.
I touched the photo gingerly, those are times I'll never get back. The thought of all those days brought tears to my eyes. I stood there for a long time, then wiped my eyes hastily and left for the next and last destination.
I smiled as I looked at the rooftop, where Valt had many battles with me and also started the bey club. The dish was replaced with a more modern one, I noticed. But everything else was more or less the same. If only I could change time, I would have never left for the snake pit.
I got out of the memory lane and walked to my old apartment, which has been vacated for years. I thought of moving from there, but I just don't want to give away the place I had so much happiness and sorrows in.
As I walked to my apartment, I heard my name.
"Kurenai Shu."
The voice gave me butterflies, and I didn't had to turn around to see who it was.
"Shirasagijo Lui" I said with the same challenging tone. He snorted.
"And what would the Kurenai Shu be doing here with tears in his cheeks?"
Oh shoot.
I glared at him, "None of your business." I said a little harsher than I intended to. He just hummed and walked away, making me think if I had been too cold this time. And trying to shake it away didn't make it better. So I followed the white tyrant.
"Shirasagijo Lui."
Lui sneered at turned to me, "What? Gone soft?"
I decided to ignore the insult, "Battle me."
Lui sighed, but agreed, "If I win, you have to give up in the Raging Bulls."
I almost did a double take hearing that, "WHAT!?"
Lui taunted me, "Why? Scared you'll lose?"
I gritted my teeth, "Ok. But if I win, you have to join the Ranging Bulls."
Lui sneered, "Ugh! Fine"
We stood on our battling position. I changed to my new stance at the last moment of launching, surprising Lui.
Longinus fell on the side of the dish, where I would have fallen if I hadn't used my new technique. Smiling in satisfaction, I nearly yelled, "It would be a shame if the legendary Shirasagijo Lui loses to me here."
I could feel his concentration dripping away, he was trying to attack with brute force now that he cannot think of a strategy without a clear mind. I took the few moments of pure chance before Lui recovers.
"SPRIGGAN!"
My bey glowed red, and Spriggan made his appearance. I decided to use the old move which burst Lui all those years ago.
"SOUTHERN CROSS SHOOT!"
Spriggan sped up. I yelled, "GET HIM, SPRIGGAN!"
And that was it. Lui and Longinus didn't expect it. And Longinus burst, leaving Lui shocked.
"Well, be at America by next week. You'll get your admission form and other information there." I said and left the shocked Lui.
It was next week quickly, and I was in my office in the Raging bulls. I had taken a flight to America two days ago, and now I was waiting for Lui, who I heard from the news that he took the flight to America yesterday. I had both elbows resting on the table, my fingers grazing each other.
The door opened and the flame-haired ogre entered.
Lui looked around with dissatisfaction and frowned, "There will be nothing for me here."
I smirked, "Oh yeah? Well then, let me introduce you to my finest."
We went to the training room and I noticed Fubuki talking with the 'finest bladers' I was referring to.
"You both! Come here!" I called out to the trio talking. Fubuki smiled at me, which I gladly gave back. The other brunette and noirette stood up and came towards me.
"Sir!"
They said and bowed. I had told them not to do it the first time we met, but their family was highly respectful and they were very disciplined with elders and teachers. They changed quickly from amateurs to pros.
Lui stood on the other side of the stadium, "Both of you at once. Bring it on!"
I smirked. Lui was underestimating them. Well, let's see.
"W-What?" Lui said after the battle, seeing Longinus burst on his side. The twins cheered for themselves and left with Fubuki. I went to his side, "That's why we say, don't underestimate your opponent."
Lui glared at me. I could practically feel his frustration.
"Ok ok fine. C'mon let's practice."
Lui stood up and we made way towards my room.
I sat on my seat and gestured him the bey stadium next to me, "Lui, show me your best move."
Lui growled and stood in front of the stadium, "Go...SHOOT!"
Longinus sped up and started hitting the air at the middle with high force. I smiled cockily, "Is that all you got?"
Lui turned to me with an expression that could give you a heart attack, "DON'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO YOU LITTLE-"
My smug smile widened, "No swearing, that's part of the rules in this office."
Lui was trying hard not to throw a string of curses at me, I could see. He seemed to be struggling with his tongue, until he said, "Let's battle."
And I lost. I fell on my knees. eyes widened, no sign of the previous cockiness. Lui smirked arrogantly.
"I'm leaving, I don't have any business with some team owner weaker than me." And he was about to leave when I spoke up, "Please...stay..."
Lui suddenly turned back on his heel at the sudden change of voice from me. And before I can stop it, tears were starting to roll down. For some reason, I don't want Lui to leave. He made me feel a little more better when we were together, but if he leaves again...
How hardcore Lui might be, he didn't leave me crying there. He rushed over and bend down to my level, wiping my tears hastily with his pale hands. I tried to smile in thanks, but more tears rushed from my eyes thinking how kind he suddenly was to me. Ugh, I'm so sensitive!
Lui frowned nervously, "W-Why are you crying?"
I sniffed, "Lui, don't leave! I don't think I can stay apart from you again!" And my embarrassing, lovesick mind hugged him, leaving the white tyrant shocked. I sobbed on his shoulder, and Lui patted my back awkwardly for giving me comfort.
"H-Hey, Shu. It's a-alright. I won't leave." He said and brought my face up to make eye contact.
We stayed like that for a moment, then Lui slowly started leaning in, closing the gap between us. His lips captured mine, and we made out in the floor, until a certain someone opened the door.
"Shu!", Valt yelled cheerfully, "It's been a while- What the-"
Stay safe and happy! And get well soon, FarhanaakthermoonMoo !
Fin.
