"Sly?"

"Oh erm, yeah?" Sly looked over as Tanya sat on the bed beside him in his house. "What's up, Tanya?"

"Are you okay?" She asked him quietly. "You've been quiet since we got back, and... I'm worried."

"O-Oh it's nothing!" Sly tried to wave it off. "Just... Some things."

"You wanna talk about them?" She looked at him. "It'll help to get it off your chest. Plus, bouncing it off someone isn't a bad idea either."

He went quiet again, contemplating her words. Maybe she was right. It had been eating away at him since he learnt about it. What Reaper had been once... Before jealousy and envy killed that little boy, before he was kicked into the real world all because of a shuriken.

"I... I guess," He nodded. "Look, that guy, Reaper.... He was my older brother."

"Your... What?" Tanya's eyes widened. His own brother had tried to kill him? That was... Messed up.

"I'm so confused now," He admitted. "I don't know how to feel about this.... He could be lying... He could have left for different reasons, he might not even be related but... If he is, that means that my parents really.... They really neglected him for me. All because of a stupid shuriken..."

Tanya closed her eyes as she mulled over what he had said. He was right. There was the possibility he had lied, but if he truly was Sly's brother who changed because of their parents...

She didn't know how to feel either, but that didn't mean that she couldn't be there for Sly through this mess.

"Hey, we'll figure it out together, Sly. No matter what the truth turns out to be, I'll be with you every step of the way," Tanya told him firmly, meeting his yellow eyes with her turquoise irises. "We made it work didn't we? You and me. A hero and a bounty hunter. We made a relationship work even though I travel a lot. We made it work because we loved each other. So we will make it through this. Together, as we always have. Trusting in each other no matter how hard it gets, remember? We're going to make it. I swear on it."

Sly could only stare at her eyes wide and glassy at what she just said, but soon he smiled as he hugged her tightly, tears falling down his cheeks, "T-Thank you so much Nya..."

Tanya hugged him back with a smile, "What are lovers for right?"

She was right. He would make it through no matter what. He just had to have faith in himself and Tanya. In the bond they had forged.

No matter the situation, he would come out of it for sure. Because he had Tanya, and that was what mattered.
