"Thank you very much for your assistance in the capture of this heinous criminal, Badgerclops, Cyber," the captain of the elite guard saluted to them as his men took Darkness away. "She will be locked away for a good while for what she has done, so you can rest easy."

"No problem," Badgerclops smiled, and Cyber bowed back to him before the captain went off to follow his men, leaving the two there on their own. According to the aforementioned captain, Mao Mao and Adorabat would be coming back soon, but they were going to be there on their own for a while. 

Now that the excitement had faded off, Badgerclops only had trepidation bubbling in his stomach. What did this mean for their relationship? What if Cyber didn't see him the way he did? Would it put a strain on their friendship? 

Would Cyber hate him for liking guys? When his parents had found out, they had been anything but supportive. His brother had laughed and mocked him for years. Part of the reason why he had run away and joined the Thicket Thieves. 

Surely Cyber would be the same, amnesiac or not? 

Badgerclops didn't know how long he had been deep in his thoughts, but when he came to, he felt a gentle kiss on his lips, making his eyes widen as he looked at the flushing Cyber. 

"I-I like you too," Cyber answered. 

Numb and completely dumbfounded due to the kiss, Badgerclops could only manage a "W-What?" 

"I-I answer feelings you give during fight," Cyber looked away, a huge blush on his cheeks as he said that. 

He then held out his hand, which showed his thumb, index finger, and pinkie up while the middle and ring finger were down, as he looked at him, a soft smile on his face. 

Badgerclops' mouth went open. That was ASL for ... I love you. He had taught Cyber some sign language when the other had seen him use it with some deaf Sweetiepies, but to think that he had learned that when he didn't remember teaching him at all... Maybe it was from the internet. He had given Cyber access to it once he had expressed a lot of curiosity. 

Still, the thought was so heartwarming, and Badgerclops began crying again as he hugged Cyber, "I-I love you, Cyber... N-No matter what." 

"Cyber ... loves you too," Cyber smiled and nuzzled into Badgerclops' soft fur. 

From nearby, Mao Mao and Adorabat shared a smile, happy for the deputy that he had found love. He deserved it, after all, with all the things he had had to go through. 

The Sweetiepies all had smiles on their faces too. They owed Cyber their lives now, and they were never going to discriminate against him ever again. Against anyone, again, really. Discrimination only hurt people instead of helping. 

The two were oblivious to the audience. Or maybe they just didn't care as they embraced the other, thankful that they had met the other in their life. Their soulmate, their other half. 

Their loved one, the person they would go through fire for.
