Curse Countdown, Final Part [TRIGGER WARNING]
Final Part: A Well End... Well, Not For the Villains
"We finally defeated her! We finally defeated Noche!"
"AHHAHAH!" the leader cackled as he drank from a cup. This was perfect! This was amazing! She was going down at long last! Finally, the revenge he had sought was finally within reach-
"Hey who turned off the lights?!" One of his henchmen yelled.
With a start, he realized that the lights were out, had gone out while he was being happy, which confused him. What was going on now? Just as their luck was getting better!
He snarled and screamed out, "Find a goddamn lamp!"
"Yes boss!" there was scrambling, but then he heard someone say, "Wait, hold on who are-"
What followed were the cries of pain and fear, punches echoing off the cave walls. He didn't know what was going on and he hated it! It reminded him too much of... of what started all this.
Suddenly a golden sword nearly pierced his neck, but his reflexes helped him dodge it as the black cat with green eyes growled, "How dare you use my liege for murder! That is unacceptable! It is a good thing he snapped out of it otherwise he would have been guilty and you would have gotten off scotfree!"
The boss quickly recognised him as the sheriff of the valley, so what he meant by liege was...
"So Noche's still alive!?" he snarled. "That pathetic coward failed!"
"Noche is my right to take down, not yours!" the sheriff hissed back at him. "You have crossed the line, treacherous villain! Prepare to taste defeat!"

"So, we meet again," Snugglemagne looked at the group with a demure smile as he stood above them. The wounds they had sustained from Mao Mao's attacks were not severe, which he had already taken into account when asking him to find those ruffians in the first place. Mao Mao still had a reputation to uphold, after all, and Snugglemagne would honor that just this once.
"You failure!" one of the henchmen yelled. "You didn't finish off Noche-"
"And why ever would I do that?" he turned to him, a frigid stare freezing the other's words off. "She is my WIFE, and you pathetic villains thought that using me to get rid of her would be fun because I'm oh-so-cowardly, am I right? Well, all that is about to change. You will taste the bitter rewards of your actions."
He then procured a pack of needles from his pocket, his lips twitching upwards as he said, "My wife was nice enough to provide these for me, and although my memories of these things are not fond, they will prove useful now."
"Heh, as if needles will scare us," another snorted.
"Oh, foolish, foolish peasants," Snugglemagne smiled as he brutally stabbed the needle into the goon's side, making him scream in pain, "OH MY GOD IT BURNS IT BURNS IT BURNS! PLEASE, STOP IT! PLEASE!!!!!"
"Why would I? You asked for it," he innocently asked before getting another one out and forcing it deep into the first goon's skin, which made him shiver; the cold was too unbearable.
"After all, making my wife hurt emotionally, using ME of all this, is UNFORGIVABLE," he proceeded to stab the rest of them with more of them, relishing in the fear, the pain their eyes held as they pleaded for it to stop.
It fell on deaf ears, though, and the only one who would live to tell the tale was the leader, who had escaped, much to Snugglemagne's displeasure.
Not that it was permanent at least.

"Ha... ha... ha... They're both crazy!" the leader panted as he trudged away from the valley. He regretted ever thinking King Snugglemagne the 25th wasn't as insane as his wife. It was no wonder they clicked so well!
"I-I need to get away, b-back to the hideout a-and start over!"
"And why would you do that?"
He froze. No no no, it couldn't be...
And yet, as he turned around, he indeed saw Noche, the legendarily feared villain, standing at the foot of the hill he had just climbed.
"S-Stay away you monster!" he screamed, but he tripped and tumbled down again, stopping right at her feet as she gave him a feral grin, "Nice of you to come back."
Moonlight Noir was glowing red as she held it, very eager for the taste of blood after a while of going without it. Being tricked by its own master's slow heartbeat that time was a mistake it would never do again. Someday, it would feast on her mind.
But for now, it would have to make do with what it had.
Towering over him, Night then used her sword to hold him in place while offhandedly commenting, "You know, you nearly won against me. But you forgot something crucial."
"S-Something crucial?" he choked out.
She smiled menacingly at his question, "Legends, they never die. You keep forgetting that, even though I showed you time and time again. To think you would keep coming after me to avenge the deaths of the loved ones who died due to their own incompetence. It's pathetic really. But oh well, I suppose this has taught you something very valuable; You should never go after me. Nor my loved ones."
She chuckled at the realisation in his eyes, "Now, why don't you take that to your grave? After all, the dead tell no tales~"
The sounds of the sword piercing skin and into his heart echoed, before fading off into the sounds of crickets in the background.
Mission accomplished.

"Are you sure you are okay with me taking the credit for your kill, Moonflower?"
"I am, Snuggleheart," she reassured him while sitting on the bed with him. "You deserve it after all."
"I... I am so sorry Moonflower," he suddenly said, hugging her tight. "I should have been stronger."
"Don't feel bad about it. The harpsichord is a very powerful instrument. It's no wonder you ended up falling under its spell," Night said. "But..."
Her face went red, and she looked away as she said, "Y-You must have worked hard to get revenge for me. T-That's... really sweet. T-Thanks."
"Moonflower, for you I would cross the deepest ocean and endure the toughest blows, for you are worth it," he embraced her again, causing Night to flush but she too sank into the hug as the moon waxed and waned above, bringing an end to the story of Night and Snugglemagne... For now.
FINALLY! I speed-wrote this thing cause I know myself and I wouldn't be able to finish it unless I did this, so don't worry. I do hope you like the story though, and I hope this was a sufficient gift for you, Venu-nee.
