Midoriya Izuku's eyes were wide. His mom had just blown his mind to the point of silence with one statement, least of all with the person who was standing beside her.

"You're my sister?" he blinked.

His classmate with an invisibility quirk nodded excitedly, even though Izuku could only tell due to the sound of the air being cut through by her nod, "Yeah!"

"I met her in the hospital when I was visiting you, Izu-chan," Inko explained. "Apparently her parents died during the Hosu incident, so I felt bad for her and decided to adopt her. It was only finalised recently after the entire chaos of the fight."

"Oh..." he nodded in understanding. All Might had told him about the many casualties All for One had killed without a second thought.

"I know it'll be weird, but I hope that we can get along, Midoriya-- I mean, Izuku..." Tooru said.

"I mean, do you want to keep your surname?" Izuku asked her, having noticed her hesitation. "You don't have to push it upon yourself."

She blinked. She... hadn't thought of that. Her parents had always been so busy, so it never hit her how much she loved her parents.

Did she love her parents? The parents who had forgotten about her a long time ago because of her Quirk?

Did she?

"I-I don't know..." her tone grew soft. Sad. Unsure. "They sometimes forgot I existed..."

"What?" Izuku's eyes widened. "Hagakure..."

Without even thinking, Inko hugged Tooru.

"E-Eh?"

Izuku understood her sentiment and quickly hugged her too. 

Tooru Hagakure was confused. Why were they hugging her? It didn't make sense to her at all. 

But it also felt... warm. A feeling she wasn't used to. She was used to many things since she had grown close to her classmates, but this... this was familial love. Storge, if she remembered correctly from a book she had read once. 

"We're here for you. We won't ever forget you're here, Quirk or not. You're part of our family now, and it won't change," Inko whispered into her ear.

Tooru's eyes widened, before they softened and she dug into the hug deeper.

Once upon a time, she would have mourned the deaths of the parents who did nothing aside from giving her money and made her work on her own, forgetting her own existence. 

But now, she had a family who loved her. Who accepted her very much. 

Her face grew moist, and for the first time in a long while, Tooru Hagakure, who had been forgotten to time, cried of relief, knowing she was loved and considered family by the Midoriyas, who had been left behind because of Quirks too. 

"T-Tadaima!!" she sobbed out. 

Izuku's own tears fell, but he and his mom managed a "O-Okaeri..." as they hugged her tighter.

That day, Tooru Hagakure-- no, Tooru Midoriya found a family who accepted her, who would never forget her to the tides of time.
