Night and Snugglemagne loved each other so much. They literally kissed every hour! You could ask anyone how much they loved each other, and they could say 'To the moon and back' just to show how star-crossed they were. 

However, while mainly, the duo had had their rough patches; all the torture Night had inflicted upon Snugglemagne had impacted the two, which caused a small rift between them. 

All it took to widen that rift was an injury. 

An accidental one. 

It was just a small one even. 

Yet somehow, it made Night think that Snugglemagne hated her. 

Thus the situation they were in now.

"It was just a little injury, Night!" 

"I don't want to hear it! It's obvious you still fear me! I can see it in your eyes!" 

"I do not!" Snugglemagne crossed his arms in frustration, trying to control it in front of his angry lover. "Sure I may have nightmares, but I still love you!"

"Liar!" Night shot back. "You just don't want to die! You're such a coward!" 

Snugglemagne growled in anger, "WHAT DID YOU SAY?!" 

"You heard me!" Night growled back. "COWARDLY LION! You're NOTHING compared to your ancestors!" 

That was the last straw. 

Night KNEW how much he revered his ancestors. He loved them just as much as he loved his throne. 

How dare she bring this into a petty argument over a small injury?! 

Right there, he snapped. His eyes saw red.

"SHUT UP!" the king looked furious now. "YOU DON'T HAVE ANY RIGHT TO TALK ABOUT THIS! YOUR BROTHER DIED RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOUR EYES! YET YOU COULDN'T EVEN HELP HIM! IF ANYTHING, YOU'RE WORSE THAN ME!  YOU'RE THE COWARD HERE! YOU'RE THE WEAK ONE HERE! NOT MY ANCESTORS!" 

He realised his mistake too late. 

That was a sore spot for Night. 

A fatal one, for she went quiet almost immediately before storming away. 

"N-Ni-" 

"Leave me," a cold tone entered her words. 

That was enough to break his heart. 

To shatter it into a million pieces.
