United at Last

It was finally here. The day they had been waiting for.

The day they would be officially united.

Truth be told, Dimentio was a tiny bit nervous. He had pooled so many things into this. All his sweat, his hard work had paid off, sure, but he was still worried. What if something went wrong? He had spent too much for it to fail...

Breathe, me. You can do this. This isn't the end of the world.... He told himself shakily, trying to control his movements. He had to be the calm one. The alert one. He couldn't let his emotions get the better of him.

Yet, standing in front of the mirror, adjusting his suit for the millionth time, he still felt nervous. His stomach was nauseous. He couldn't believe that today was the day. Today was the day that he would finally marry his other half, his lover, his bunny. He never thought today would come. But now that it was here, his entire body was jittery with so much energy. All the pent-up emotions were itching to get out.

He inhaled and exhaled, trying to control his breathing. He couldn't lose his composure. Today was the day. He wanted Ms. L to be happy. She deserved it, what with the backlash she had gotten for staying by his side. She was told to leave him, to return to Lianna, but she refused. She wanted to be with him.

And that was something he was eternally grateful for. For years, he had lived by the concept of working alone, since to him, no one ever understood his reasons for wanting to make the world better.

Until Ms. L came along.

She understood his motives. She supported them. Even after all the things he had done to her, she still encouraged him. It was like the pain he had inflicted was nothing compared to her love for him.

He loved her too. He was never the best at expressing words like these, but she knew everything. She knew how much he loved her.

That was how this day came to be, after all.

"Alright. I'm done," he breathed in once more. He could do this! This was nothing. Nothing compared to the final battle last time, when his stomach churned so hard he nearly choked on it. He was Dimentio, and it was Showtime! He couldn't let his audience down!

So, after taking in another huge gulp of air, he stepped towards the door bit by bit, steps deliberate, worry circulating.

Then, he opened the entrance to the altar.

"You sure took your sweet sweet time! Made me wonder whether you had chickened out. I know for sure that I wouldn't have done that! Fawful is amazing! Faithful! A rock for everyone!"

However, his fellow villain's words fell on deaf ears, too enamoured by Ms. L's beauty.

How was she so stunning? They had just opted for a grey wedding dress, right?

Yet, there she was, a stunning dove in grey. Her veil was uncovered, but it only made her shine even more. Green and grey were seen all over as she tugged her dress slightly, looking a bit red. Her lime green eyes were off-coloured emeralds under the beautiful moonlight. In fact, the rays seemed to brighten up the cathedral they had snuck into at midnight. The chandelier above with the moonlight brought the room to life, turning it lively despite the lack of an audience to watch. This was enough for the two of them. They only wanted their close friends to watch this.

"This is tots wonderful!"

"Hafta agree with that."

"Mkay, this is quite amazing."

Thus, this is why Nastasia, O'Chunks and Mimi found themselves there, after a letter arrived for the wedding.

At first, they had been skeptic and suspicious. Rightfully so, after what Dimentio had done. But then, gradually, they noticed the sincerity and decided that they were still friends. That's what convinced them to do it.

And they didn't regret it. The room they were in was a royal ballroom, its atmosphere slowly sucking the villainy in the engaged couple. In fact, Ms. L hadn't even insulted anyone! While it could have been due to the nervousness, it was still possible.

"Alright, let's make this quick, kay? Fawful is a priest, but Fawful needs to get back to work!" The upstart villain waved his hand in front of Dimentio's face, finally snapping him out of it.

"Y-Yeah," the jester was trying to hide his blush.

"L-Let's do this then," Ms. L looked away, trying to hold in her happiness. She was finally going to marry Dimentio! It felt so... Surreal! This was her dream come true!

Okay, okay, it was time to breathe. She could do this. She was a bad guy, after all. An antagonist. This was nothing compared to her past experiences! She was strong!

"Alright, please face each other."

The two complied hesitantly, moving to look at the other. The beauty of their love was seen clearly on their faces, standing there illuminated by the moon's smile. Their gazes were emphasized with their smiles. Their pure, happy, and excited smiles.

Fawful then coughed.

"Dearly beloved, ladies and gentlemen, we are here today to unite these two villains, strong, not as strong as Fawful, yet loving towards each other all the time, in Holy Matrimony. Rejoice! For these two, who love each other so much, are to be joined!" he began, adjusting his white robe to get more comfortable.

Dimentio had to bite his lip to keep himself from smiling. This was not a drill. This was not a drill. This was real. He was getting married!

Ms. L barely stifled an evil giggle. Fawful was SO going to pay for that comment. It made her smile, though, through the wave of nervous nausea in her stomach. She might consider some mercy for him....

"Love is not easy to find. It is something not all can find," he continued, ignoring the stink eye Mimi gave him in favour of focusing. "Love is beautiful, and incomprehensible in the eyes of machines, even to this furious Fawful."

The two flushed horribly. Was this payback for all those times they had belittled him? It sure seemed that way, no thanks to the smug smirk that graced his lips. If it was, the two had fallen for it already, since now they were tomatoes. This was clearly seen on their faces, red and embarrassed. This was NOT what they planned would happen!!

Nastasia snickered, "Mkay, this is sweet. But they deserved it in a way."

"Hafta agree!" Ochunks laughed. "That lady has annoyed me one too many times!"

"Tots true!" Mimi giggled. The two DID care for her, but she had gotten on their nerves a lot, so it was satisfying to see her swallow that bitter pill.

The priest coughed loudly, cutting off any other interruptions in order to somewhat help the blushing duo. After all, only he, the worst, cruelest villain in this world, could do so!

Thankfully, the three took the hint and settled down, allowing him to finally continue his words, "And now, it is time for the vows. Say your vows, people."

Dimentio inhaled, trying to control his beating heart filled with so much energy, before he grasped Ms. L's gloved hands, mustering a sincere smile, "I, Dimentio, hereby take Ms. L to be my lawfully wed wife, who I will love and stand by for all of eternity, up until my last breath, because she is like a sun at dusk."

Ms. L barely managed to swallow her tears of happiness. Those words had touched her heart really deeply, and she was ready to answer him. She gripped Dimentio's hands tight. Took in a deep breath.

"I, Ms. L, hereby take Dimentio as my lawfully wed husband, who I will love and stand by for all of eternity, with his charming smile and wonderful goals," she then took the rings from a small table, handed one to her other half, and inserted the diamond ring on her ring finger.

Dimentio's heart skipped a beat. Tears fell from his cheek in happiness. Pure happiness. Never had he expected this. In a way, it really touched him.

He proceeded to smile, taking her hand as he put it on her ring finger, making the three spectators cheer in glee.

"I now pronounce you two husband and wife. Feel free to kiss each other," Fawful smiled sincerely.

The two didn't need any more prodding. Lips crashed into each other without hesitation, igniting roars of happiness from the others.

"Mkay, this is an awesome wedding!"

"Yeah! These two deserve each other!"

"True true! I can't wait for their babies!"

At that, the two lovers blushed slightly, but resumed their kissing fest, with Fawful laughing, "And thus, the wedding ends! Thank you so much for coming everyone, and we hope that you can come visit more often!"

And so it started. Their journey as husband and wife.
