"You would think master thieves would steal useful stuff," Bella kicked a teddy bear in disgust as she and Adorabat looked around the shack, trying to find clues to their mentors' whereabouts. 

"I guess they just resell it again with higher prices?" Adorabat shrugged. "Mao Mao DID tell me about those kind of tricks." 

"Makes sense, but still. I could steal better." 

"You steal?" 

"Yeah. You just knew that?"

"Mmhm. Maybe you can teach me!" 

Bella blinked, "You want me... To teach you how to steal?" 

"It sounds fun!" Adorabat smiled. 

"I-I guess we can...." the lamb blushed. "W-What do you want to learn first-" 

"Well, home sweet home, I guess," a familiar voice to the bat made her growl in anger. 

"Rufus...." she looked ready to attack them. 

"Calm down, Adorabat," Bella soothed her by rubbing small circles on her back. "We should listen in on them first." 

".... Fine," she conceded. "But once we get any clue, we make them tell us where they are." 

"Great minds think alive indeed," the lamb smirked before the two went to hide. 

Eventually, a fox and a raccoon entered the shack, yawning as they slumped onto their seats. 

"Gosh, I can't believe that guy would pay so much just for that awful sheriff and the Sky Pirates' location," Rufus grumbled. 

"Agreed, it's such a waste of time," his partner nodded solemnly. 

"No, it's not," Adorabat snarled at the two as she and Bella appeared in front of the door, glaring at them ferociously. 

"Adorabat! Hey there lil bud-" 

"No messing around. Tell us, who did you tell their location to?" she demanded. 

"Psh, as if we would tell you," Reg burst out laughing. 

"You better tell us, or else," Bella threatened. 

"Aw, whatcha gonna do? Kick us with your tiny little paws?" Rufus snorted. 

This got the two kids looking at each other, annoyance clear in their eyes. 

Time to go rough.

"AHHHHHHHHH!!!!! LET US DOWN!!!!" 

"You didn't want to do it the nice way, so we're doing it the hard way," Adorabat crossed her paws while holding the rope that kept the duo of thieves away from the jaws of hungry alligators below. 

"Now fess up before we throw you to the alligators," Bella frowned. "Who paid you?" 

"W-We don't know! Honest! A guy in a blue cloak just came up to us and paid us once we told him!" 

"Meh, okay then," Adorabat quickly tied the rope to a nearby tree. "Thanks for the info, but I still haven't forgiven you for that Takesgiving stunt." 

"W-Wait no! DON'T LEAVE US!" 

Their pleas for help, however, were ignored by the two of them as they turned to leave, ready to find more clues that could lead them to their mentors. 

"NOOO! ADORABAT DON'T DO THIS!" 

The bat just kept her back turned, gripping Bella's hand tightly before she walked away. 

Bella noticed the anger in her grip, but she just rubbed circles once more as they slowly moved away from the people who hurt the bat's heart.
