"This is it?" 

You could have felt the disappointment in Bella's tone as she and Adorabat stood in front of an abandoned house. They had wasted so much time just to end up here?! Were their mentors actually here?!

"Two hours of walking, and this is what we're rewarded with?!" she hissed slightly. "Gosh, this was a waste of time!" 

"We can never know, Bella," her companion comforted. "For now, let's go check it out. Maybe they're inside. It could be a trick they set up for us." 

"Makes sense," she sighed, trudging slowly towards the house. She was mentally praying that Adorabat was right. That they were inside, safe and sound. 

However, her hopes were only crushed when they searched and searched, but found nothing. They persevered, of course, but they soon had to stop because Adorabat was really tired now. This ticked her off even more. Why did this bat get tired so quickly?! They were so, so close! THEY COULDN'T GIVE UP! 

That rage bubbled inside as she watched the bat sit on a chair nearby, fanning herself despite the dust and bugs that flew around her due to her disturbing their home, "You shouldn't do that, Adorabat! What if you get bitten?!" 

Of course, an irritated bat like her was not the type to take this lightly, so she just rolled her eyes and opened her mouth to say something-

CRACK.

They froze. Fear entered their hearts. 

"Erm... W-What was tha-" 

The floor shattered the exact moment Adorabat chose to speak, allowing gravity to gleefully pull the two kids into a seemingly endless abyss. 

"AHHHHHHHH!!!!!! SAVE US!!!!!!!!!!!" they both screamed, in sync for once. 

Were they going to die?! 

Before they could save their mentors from Eugene?! 

No no no! Please! They couldn't die! They HAD to rescue their mentors-

"OW!" Adorabat winced as her back hit the floor, with Bella landing nearby. Her back hurt so much, yeah, but she was worried for Bella too, "H-Hey, you okay?"

"I-I'm fine.... N-Not so much for my phone and laptop, though...." she sounded sad, as if mourning this loss.

"A-Agh.... We'll have to figure that out later.... F-For now, though.... Where the heck are we?...." 

That.. That was a good question.
