"Is that her?" 

"I think it is. She's a fox, and her name tag says Roxanne," Bella mumbled as the two looked at the worker as she loaded cans onto the shelf in the store, seemingly oblivious to their stares. 

"Should we confront her?" 

"Maybe... But how?"

"Erm, we can try arriving in a panic, so as to let her warm up to us quicker." 

"Sounds like a plan, I suppose." 

The two made eye contact once more, nodding in confirmation before they both burst into the store, ignoring the startled looks of others as they rushed to their target. 

Adorabat went into a mumbling spree, jumbling up her words in her fake-panic, which was thankfully stopped by Bella, "I'll talk, if that's okay, Adorabat." 

"O-Okay then..." she nodded, eyes big and convincingly scared. Honestly, if Bella didn't know better, she would think that Adorabat really meant it!

"Hi there!" Roxanne smiled at them while squatting down to their height. "You look so cute. Are you lost, sweeties?" 

Bella gripped her fists, clearly annoyed, but got her logic back in place and took out the photo of the guy, "Do you know this person?" 

"Why, of course!" she nodded. "We're dating! But he couldn't come today because he was sick.... Why do you need him, anyway?" 

"Well.." the two looked at each other, a bit unsure if they should tell her. 

Then again, it couldn't hurt, right? 

That's what led them to explain everything to her. 

"W-What?... H-He would never do such a thing!" she protested. 

"The evidence all leads to him, though," Adorabat mumbled. 

"I-I'm sure that this is all just a misunderstanding! I-I want to clear things up between you guys! W-Wait for me to end my shift first so I can help you guys, okay?" she declared, the determination igniting in her eyes. 

"No way!" Bella crossed her arms. "Take us there! NOW!" 

"Hey, that's not a very nice tone you have there," Roxanne frowned. "Please adjust your attitude." 

"Like I-" Adorabat covered her mouth suddenly, then shouted out a brief apology as she dragged the lamb away.

"What did I do wrong Adorabat?!" 

"You gotta swallow your pride Bella! Just act how you have to!" 

"I don't want to!"

"Come on! You can do it! If anything, just do it for your mentors!" 

That somehow got through with her, causing her to freeze up for a while before she grunted slightly, "Fine." 

She then turned around to look at Roxanne, putting on a cute face (Oh, how she abhorred it) and bowed, "I apologise for my rudeness. I am just worried." 

"Aw, it's okay sweetie," Roxanne's smile returned almost immediately, pinching Bella's cheeks. "Now, was that so hard?" 

Very, Bella mentally grumbled, but she chose not to say it aloud, just smiling at the adult without showing her ire. 

"Since you two asked so nicely, I guess I'll just check out early to help you, okay?" the fox suggested. 

"Yay! Thank you so much!" Adorabat smiled. 

"It's no problem!" 

Once she checked out, she took them both outside to her car. 

"Hop in!" she opened the front seat for them, which was somehow big enough for both of them. 

The two just hopped on, preferring to sit together. 

However, they were unaware of the dangers soon to come.
