"What happened here?..." a small lamb questioned herself as her bang-covered eyes looked around her home, now broken and ruined even more than it was. "And where are the others?... Where are my friends?..."

This lamb was a puffball named Bella, and the friends she was referring to was the Sky Pirates, a group of criminals bent on stealing the Ruby Pure Heart from Pure Heart Valley. She loved them with all her heart, so to wake up to see them gone and the hideout trashed..... It scared her.

"I... I have to go find them...." she mumbled, getting up slowly to dust off some dirt from her blue suspenders. "Who knows.... They might... They might be outside, trying to fix this...."

That gave her enough hope to begin walking out of the ship....

But it was shattered the moment she didn't see them.

"G-Guys?" she called out weakly. "Where are you?...."

Fear began to grip her heart. She was scared. Worried. Terrified. What had happened to her family, who took her in when no one did?

Tears fell, "T-This isn't funny...." Her little sobs sounded out weakly, echoing throughout the forest.

Somewhere nearby, a pair of blue ears perked up, "Huh?... That voice... Could it be?"

The blue bat who owned those ears, Adorabat, quickly zoomed to the source, eventually discovering the lamb.

Her eyes widened, "You!"

"E-Eh?" Shadowed eyes met bright black ones, causing a scowl to appear on the sheep's face at once. "You..."

"What are you doing here?" Adorabat asked. She may not like Bella, but she was not a heartless creature. She still cared for her.

"It's none of your beeswax," she hissed out, trying to hide the obvious puffiness of her eyes.

"You sure?"

"Very. Now just leave. I still need to find my family."

The bat's eyes widened, "Wait hold on... Did the Sky Pirates go missing too?"

"I suppose you can say that....." Bella bleated out. She was confused now. How did she know?

"Well, Mao Mao and Badgerclops went missing too...."

"O-Oh....." the lamb finally understood. "I see.... So... You're looking for them?"

Adorabat just nodded, "I'm worried for them, of course! So I have to find them!"

"I agree," Bella nodded in agreement. "I want to find them as well, so... Do you want to team up?"

Adorabat's eyes widened, "Really?!"

She smiled, "Of course. I may not like you, but I'm worried for my family too."

"Very well then!" the bat smiled. "It's a deal! Shake on it?"

"Shake on it."

That's how the two kids began their alliance; shaking hands with smiles on their faces.

They were ready to find them.
