It was suffocating her. Adorabat was struggling to get loose from the seatbelt that held her down as the car slowly began to sink lower and lower. I have to get out of here! Mao Mao and Badgerclops are counting on me!

Using her sharp claws, she finally managed to get loose. She felt relieved and was just about to start swimming away when she looked back and saw Bella passed out. She had not been able to get out of the seatbelt in time, and had exhausted herself in the attempt to get away. 

We're really deep now, so it's going to take a good amount of time to get to the surface.... If I go back for her, it would risk much more than getting up alone..... 

But at the same time.... 

I... 

I find that she's a friend to me now. 

Not just an ally.... 

S-She's become a true friend... 

Someone I can trust...

I... I can't... 

I can't leave her behind like this... She's my FRIEND!

With that final thought, she did a U-turn and went back for Bella.

After pulling her out of the car, she kicked her way up to the surface furiously. Water surrounded her and tried to pull her back down, but she remembered what was at stake here. 

That fueled her determination to kick harder and reach the top, breathing in a ridiculously huge amount of it the moment she arrived. 

She then swam all the way to the shore, where she attended to her companion. In a frantic attempt to get her to wake up, she began punching her stomach like crazy, trying to force the air out. However, it wasn't working at all. 

Adorabat knew a good amount of first-aid treatment, and she was aware of what was to come if punching the stomach didn't work. 

It sent shivers down her spine though. 

I-I'll have to kiss her, r-right?....

She.. 

She couldn't.

She shouldn't. 

But she had to. 

"C-Come on, Adorabat. T-This is for her own good," she mumbled to herself. "Y-You can do this... I-It's okay.... S-She won't come after your head...." 

Somehow, that helped. 

But only a little. 

"O-Okay... I-I'm going to do it now..." she shakily told herself, slowly moving her lips closer to Bella's, mentally cheering herself on-

"AH!" Bella suddenly jumped up, choking for air. 

T-Thank goodness I didn't have to kiss her!

She could only exhale softly on the outside, but then realised that Bella was looking at her strangely. 

"Bella? Something wrong?" 

"D-Did... Did you save me?" 

Adorabat stopped. 

S-She did, didn't she?.... 

Yeah...

Yeah she did!

Yet, all she could do was nod as her answer, unsure how to reply. 

"T-Thanks!" Bella shyly smiled at the bat, feeling grateful for the save. 

"N-No problem!" she smiled back. 

Thus, their partnership grew into a friendship.
