"Can you see anything?"

"What do you think I have, peripheral vision? I'm a bat, for crying out loud! I use supersonic waves!" 

"Well, sorry! It's dark in here!" 

"Agh, whatever! Can you find a light switch then?!" 

"Give me a sec!" Bella's hooves clumsily fumbled around the place, searching for the light switch. Thankfully, she found it, and flipped it around to open the lights. 

She regretted it instantly. 

Why?

Because then they were exposed to the most horrific sight in their eyes. 

Their mentors, horribly beaten up, passed out, AND tied up...

Were in a cage....

Dangling...

Dangling over a pit of lava....

And were slowly moving towards it...

"M-MAO MAO! BADGERCLOPS!" Adorabat looked horrified. In all her life, she had never felt so scared, so worried for them. They always seemed so strong...

But now, here they were, knocked out, and in DANGER. 

Bella gripped her fists. Her mentors were in danger... She had to save them-

Clap. 

Clap. 

Clap. 

"H-Huh?" the two turned, only to be met by a man as he slowly walked to them. 

Obviously the one who captured them, right?.....

"Well, I must say," his voice slithered like a snake. An evil one. "I'm impressed. Didn't think you two had it in you to make it there."

The duo stared at each other, unsure how to feel. What was going on? Why was he standing in front of them?

And what did he mean?
