Part 1: Words of Pain

"You should stop being so immature and sloppy, you know! You almost got us caught!" 

"Well, at least we DIDN'T get caught," Tulip crossed her arms in annoyance, clearly ticked off at Pink for all her nagging as she glared down at her. "Plus, it's not like you're any better!" 

"Hey, I don't mess up 24/7! You do!" the cat hissed. 

"I do NOT!" 

"You do!" 

"I DO NOT!" the bat growled in anger. 

"YOU DO!" Pink shot back. 

"SHUT UP!" Tulip roared, making the cat freeze slightly. 

The bat's thoughts were really really messed up. So jumbled up. 

That would never justify the next words that came out of her mouth, though. 

"IT'S NOT LIKE I SIGNED UP TO BE STUCK TO A NAGGER LIKE YOU! SO SHUT UP YOU STUPID NUISANCE!" 

At that, Pink froze, eyes wide in shock. Hurt was flashing in her eyes like crazy. 

Tulip had realised what she had said too late, covering her mouth with a pale face, "P-Pink..." 

The cat just went silent, looking away from the bat. 

Tulip looked down, tears escaping from her eyes. 

T-This was her fault.... 

How could she say that?... She clearly knew Pink's backstory, yet....... 

How... 

How could she redeem herself?

Part 2: Tulip's Side

"Pink?..." 

Silence. 

Tulip just sighed softly as she tried to talk to Pink yet again, only to fail epically. She really didn't know what to do anymore. She had tried everything! From stopping their heists for a while to even taking a rest at home! 

Nothing seemed to help the pain in her heart! 

Agh, why was this so hard? Tulip didn't understand how the actual love thingie went on in the dramas, but one thing was for sure; she was NOT an expert in it. 

She wasn't sure how to apologise to Pink. She was never taught how to apologise in her life, having never known her parents. She was never taught this at all. 

Well, then again, she was never taught to fall in love.

Least of all with the cat stuck to her. 

Yes, as much as Tulip hated, despised, and disliked to admit it, she DID have a crush on Pink. 

Something just charmed the bat about the cat. Maybe it was her words, her skills, or her cute face when she was picking locks. 

Either way, it still ended the same way; with her gaining a crush on her. 

Said crush was now ignoring her because of those 20 words that she had said. 

Agh.... She wanted to die so much now. 

Why was love so complicated? 

She mentally groaned. What should she do now? She was absolutely confused and baffled over what to do-

Stop. 

An idea, a very very small one, popped up in her mind. 

That very same idea made a grin appear on her face. 

Alright, it's risky, but I'll take the chance. 

Part 3: Pink's Nap

Of course, a cat needed their beauty sleep, so the bat had VERY reluctantly agreed to the idea of a nap for her every day. Even when they were still not talking, they still did it. 

However, when Pink got up, she realised that Tulip was asleep. Weird. She didn't sleep in the afternoon; she did. 

Pink just frowned slightly, and moved to check whether she was really asleep when she accidentally saw a letter on their bedside table. 

"A letter?" she mumbled to herself. "Who would send a letter to us-" 

Her eyes caught who it was addressed to.

Pink

"Me?" She was very confused now. "Why would this letter be addressed to me?" 

She had no idea who could have sent this. She was not that educated when it came to writing, so she couldn't tell the difference between them. 

Is this a trap, though?  She wondered to herself. What if it's someone who wants to get back at us for stealing?

She was a bit scared, honestly. 

But she decided to just read it. 

After all, what could be the harm? 

Part 4: Tulip's Apology

Dear Pink,

This is Tulip speaking- well, more like writing. Agh, sorry for this very very strange thingie. I am no good with writing.

Gosh, this bat was really persistent..... 

Yet there was a small giggle escaping her lips. 

Anyway, I am writing to apo- apologising? Apologise? I don't know! I am horrible with grammar!

She giggled even more. This was WAY better than speaking! 

Okay, let's redo that. 

I am writing to apologise for what I said to you, Pink. 

I admit that my words crossed the line. I'm sure that none of us wanted to end up like this. You didn't deserve the backlash I gave you. 

I was horrible to you, Pink. 

So, I-I.... 

I'm sorry. 

Pink inhaled sharply, "Oh, Tulip...." Her heart broke a bit reading this line.

I'll understand.. 

I'll understand if you still hate me. 

Of course, who wouldn't? 

I would have reacted the same way you did if that happened to me.

She looked down softly, to the bat sleeping peacefully, "Tulip...." 

But.....

We're still partners, Pink. 

That's why... 

Can you.. 

Can you forgive me? 

Please?

"Oh my...." Pink had to rub some tears away from her eyes. "Lip..." 

It breaks my heart to see you like this to me. 

Why?

Well...

I-It's hard to explain.. 

B-But..... 

The last sentence blew her away. 

Literally. 

I love you, Pink. 

So...

Can we make up? 

I'll be waiting for your response, Pink. 

I'll wait for as long as I have to.

Part 5: Pink's Reply

For some strange reason, when Tulip got up, Pink was STILL asleep, which somewhat confused her, because Pink was always awake faster than her. 

However, her attention was diverted to a piece of paper above her letter to Pink. 

She blinked, "A letter?" 

Picking it up, she then began to read it.

Tulip,

Gosh... 

Gosh, I am speechless. 

I'm actually crying a bit as I write this. 

I have no idea what to say. 

You, in love with me? I-I couldn't grasp that concept for 5 seconds flat. 

I wondered. 

Why would you fall in love with me? 

I-I'm the one who supposed to have the silly crush, not you! 

Tulip's bat ears perked up. She had a crush.... On her? 

I-I'm so sorry for all the pain I gave you, Lip. You didn't deserve it. I was being somewhat irrational. 

I-I... 

I love you too, Lip. 

So....

A-Agh....

So... 

W-Will you date me?....

Tulip's mouth went open. WHAT WAS GOING ON NOW?! SHE WAS SO CONFUSED!!!!!

Did Pink really love her back?

Who she was stuck to for the rest of her life?

Part 6: Confessions

"P-Pink?...." Tulip blinked as she looked to see her crush looking at her. 

"O-Oh, y-you must have read the letter...." she stuttered, blushing scarlet as she spoke. 

Tulip herself covered her face, "Y-Yeah I did... I-I...." 

The two went into a strangely comfortable silence. Tulip looked at the sky, while Pink looked down. 

They were unsure how to continue the conversation......

"I-I'm so thankful you wrote that...." Pink admitted out of nowhere. "I-I might have continued to ignore you...." 

Tulip just blushed, "I-I was worried you would hate me..."

"N-No way...." Pink mumbled. "I-I can never hate anyone as sincere as you. You never truly hated me because we were stuck together...." 

"I-I would never.... E-Even if I act like it, I truly don't...."

"S-So, c-can we start over?"

"A-Absolutely."

That one word, even if it was stuttered, brought a pure smile to her face.
