"We totally beat Fistrick!" 

"Indeed we did." 

Well, not that it's unusual or anything, Damien Jackson mentally countered Ben Tennyson's words as the two plus Rook Blonko, their alien friend, reentered the headquarters of the Plumbers, an intergalactic organisation aiming to keep the peace. Damien, Ben and Rook were all part of this organisation, and they were proud of that, because it kept people safe, and they could protect their loved ones. 

"Man, I feel exhausted," Ben yawned, stretching a bit. His posture was slumped as well, supporting his statement. "Don't you two feel the same way?"

"Well, who told you to stay up so late last night?" Damien chuckled softly, earning a playful punch from Ben. The green-eyed male complained about how Damien would never get the amazingness of his favourite TV show, which Damien opened his mouth to retort...

Only to close it upon seeing someone turn the corner to their corridor. Colour rose to his cheeks before he could consciously stop them, turning him into a total mess. 

Luckily, Ben and Rook had not seen it since they had seen the girl turn the corner, and Ben gave a grin as he jogged over, "Lucy! It's been a while!" 

"Yeah it has, hasn't it?" the person was revealed to be a crimson-eyed girl, grinning back at the hero. "Just got back. What have I missed?" 

"Well, we got a new member in our team," Ben shrugged nonchalantly, moving aside to let the girl see him. "This is Damien Jackson. He has a Omnitrix as well." 

"Ooh, that's kinda interesting," she smiled softly, trying to hide the soft blush on her face after seeing him. "Nice to meet you, Damien. I'm Lucy Mann, B-Ben's cousin." 

"N-N-Nice to meet you," Damien stammered, stumbling over his words. She was really pretty- wait, what was he thinking?! 

Rook blinked, looking between the two in confusion. What was wrong with Damien and Lucy? They were acting weird, even though it was their first time meeting. Was Damien sick? Or were both of them sick? Questions ran around his head, only twisting it even more with every thought. 

Ben noticed as well, and had to mentally facepalm. This was hopeless, wasn't it? What was up with his friends being this way? Well, it wasn't like he was any better, but still. When it came to love and romance, he was good enough, thank you very much. At least he wasn't TOO obvious or oblivious. 

He sighed. Looks like Damien needed help, "Alright, we have to go and report, so I'll catch up with you later, Lucy." 

"S-Sounds cool," she smiled shakily, trying to hide the ginormous blush on her slightly tanned face. "S-See ya then. I-It was nice meeting you." 

"L-Likewise," Damien flushed even more, avoiding eye contact. 

Ben had to resist facepalming on the spot. This was going to be a LONG journey.
