Mao Mao looked around. The palace... It was wonderful and amazing. He was so stunned by its beauty. 

Rose had made all this. Her powers had created this wonderland. It was downright mind-blowing. He... he couldn't believe that she had powers. Wonderful ones, indeed! 

If only she could see that. 

He wished that she could see how wonderful she really was. 

But no matter. He was there to remind her. To bring her home. To stop this winter. He could only hope that she would listen to him. 

Moving ahead of Adorabat and Badgerclops, Mao Mao headed into the castle, ignoring the worried yelps that came from his companions as he acted according to his instincts. He looked around warily as he headed up, but his main focus was getting to Rose.

When he opened the castle doors, he was abundant with amazement. The skies could be seen through the ice walls, and from there, it was emphasized by the jaw dropping chandelier that hung above them. It felt like he had stepped into an art exhibition instead of a castle or something. 

This was a masterpiece. It deserved to be a museum with how amazing it was. He wanted to preserve this so so much.

"This is amazing!" Adorabat said, smiling in awe. 

"Totally," Badgerclops nodded. 

"I can't believe my eyes, either," Mao Mao admitted. "This is just... wow!" 

"I'm glad you liked it," a familiar voice called out from above, making their heads move upwards to see the reason they were here. 

His breath hitched upon seeing her beauty. Her dress shined under the soft sunlight above, stunning him to speechlessness. Was this truly her? She was just so... so stunning. He couldn't believe it, yet at the same time, he was so proud of her. She was smiling so purely, so happily. 

She was an beauty to behold. 

"Rose, this is amazing," was all he could say. And those four words were completely honest and true. 

She smiled as she said, "I know right? This is just... I never knew what I was capable of!"

His own face was smiling as well. He couldn't help it. She looked so peaceful and excited. 

I came all this way, today

Rose couldn't hold back the tinkling laugh that exited her throat. She felt happy that Mao Mao could see this. Whether he remembered or not was not important. He was here. That was all that  mattered.

Mao Mao's eyes watered slightly. He had never seen her until coronation, and even then, there was no smile on her face. Now, she seemed free. He was happy for her. Something in him mocked that she was happy without him, but he pushed that aside. He didn't mind. 

We've been falling out for way too long
So let's forget who's right

Rose nearly teared up hearing that. She was so glad that even though he didn't remember, he could still accept her.

They looked into the other in happiness. They were glad to be with each other now.

Rose continued singing.

Mao Mao smiled. He felt amazing being with her now.

Once they sang the chorus, he spoke honestly.

And unloved by the best friend I long to know

They made eye contact again.

Rose grinned, eyes twinkling to show her excitement. 

To never let you celebrate me, the true queen of the ice and snow

Adorabat and Badgerclops began clapping along with the song.

Badgerclops smiled as he watched Mao Mao sing. He was soon joined by Rose.

Mao Mao had to remind her, though. He hated to make her feel bad, but he had to let her know.

Rose blinked.

Mao Mao felt a bit tired. He wasn't sure how to word it. 

To thaw the fjord, it's frozen over, no one can get in or out?

Rose froze.

He got her gloves out and held it out to her.

Rose couldn't do it. She promised herself not to do that. Even if it broke his heart, she had to. She couldn't accept reality anymore. She wanted to stay in her fantasy forever. 

 I don't believe you!

Mao Mao's eyes widened. What was she saying?

What?! I just assumed that you would have to...

She was so mad after hearing his words. She couldn't believe him. 

That I'll shove on the gloves, that's how your story ends?!

Mao Mao was stunned to bits. What was he hearing?

It does! It's just like it was, except for we'll be best friends

Rose's eyes had fury in them. She couldn't believe him. 

 So that's in your plan to force me back in a cage

Mao Mao had to calm her down somehow. No matter what, he had to. 

Whoa, whoa! Don't get upset let's get back on the same page

But Rose refused to listen now. 

Gee, thanks for coming up to see the place
And showing off your mastery of tact and grace,

Mao Mao was unable to believe her words, but he knew that he had to push through. 

Run down the hill and spill my secrets, make a full report! Bye-bye!

She pushed him away, yet Mao Mao turned around and stopped her from slamming the door. His anger began to seep through.

There it is! The door you'd love to slam in my face!
You did well there for a spell, but now you're back in the same place
Kick me out if you want, but I'm the only one who, is
Not one hundred percent convinced the prophecy's you!

Rose was annoyed at what he was saying. 

You can think whatever you want 'cause I don't care

Mao Mao had enough. That was the last straw.

That is so unfair

The two were now united. United against each other. 

I swear I'm through with taking your unshaking friendly support!

Mao Mao hissed.

Mao Mao was starting to calm down, and it was slowly being replaced by guilt. Yet he had to fight it. He had to get her back.

Rose was so angry now. She couldn't believe him. Why was he in the way of her happiness?

Rose turned around, and began moving upwards. 

Mao Mao went after her, hoping to plea with her. She tried blocking him with her powers, yet he couldn't let her go. Not like this.

Rose couldn't believe Mao Mao. He was making this all about him! 

You?! You've been so wrong about everything.

Mao Mao persevered, tears leaking out. If only she would listen....

Maybe you are the prophecy!

This was the worst thing he could have said. 

With all the pent-up frustration she had in her, Rose turned to Mao Mao and blasted him like a laser. 

I am NOT the prophecy!

She exhaled. She felt happy. She felt relieved. This was the best she had felt in her life. 

Until she saw Mao Mao hunched over his back, wincing and holding his chest in pain.
