Don't Leave Me, Part Two

"How dare you use that name for me! Only my lover can call me that!" the wolf snarled at him, hostility in his eyes.

Cyber's response made the badger freeze on the spot, eyes wide in disbelief and shock. What was he talking about? Why was Cy getting angry over this? Why was he so hostile now?

"Cy-"

"Cyber to you, stupid glutton! How dare you take Orangusnake's nickname for me?!"

"W-What?! What are you talking about?!"

"Oh, quit acting so dumb! We all know the Sheriff Department brainwashed me to be with them!"

It was there. Cyber had just unknowingly revealed the truth.

Badgerclops could care less, however.

The words repeated themselves in his mind. A broken record to how he had failed his Cyberry. His Techno....

Without thinking, his knees buckled, and he collapsed on the ground, crying. Sorrow was the only thing that his heart had now. It controlled his heart, his feelings. It hurt him so much. Stress cardiomyopathy was getting the better of him. It hurt so so much.

"Badgerclops! BADGERCLOPS!"

He could barely hear Mao Mao and Adorabat's shouts at him. Time slowed to a standstill. All his mind could load was to cry, cry, and cry even more. Tears fell like dew in the early morning, only they were not clear, or translucent.

No, they held pain in them. Mental pain.

Mao Mao then faced the Pirates, eyes now blazing in pure hatred, "You will pay for that."

Orangusnake scoffed, "As if. Now that Techno is back with us, we won't let you hurt him!"

"Only Badgerclops can use that!" Adorabat yelled back. "You're just a stupid impostor!"

"Me, an impostor?" the captain snickered. "Look at yourselves first. YOU are the impostors, not us."

"SHUT UP!" Mao Mao roared before he lunged forward towards Orangusnake, only to be blocked by Cyber, "Cyber!"

"Leave my love alone!" he growled.

"Your love is broken and in pain because of you!" Mao Mao shot back.

"Oh puhleeze, it wasn't like he was blameless either. In fact, we have to thank him for bringing him home."

THAT froze the two to their spots.

"E-Excuse me?" Mao Mao looked stunned.

"You heard me," he smirked. "Badgerclops brought him home to us."

"W-What?..." Badgerclops finally looked up. "I-I did?"

"You brought him straight to us," Ratarang sneered.

"It was really pathetic watching his face of betrayal," Ramaraffe laughed mockingly, forgetting that Cyber was still there. "Just a little bit of hacking, and you were putty in our hands."

"Real mature, Badgerclops. In the end, without him, you became nothing," Orangusnake taunted, striking it where it counts.

If it hurt at first, it was a total breakdown now. His heart shattered on the spot.

Falling to his knees, he sobbed even harder, unable to do anything. All his energy fell out with his tears. Pain hit his heart like a wreaking ball, chaining it to the weights of mental scars. It locked his happiness away, banishing it to the deepest pits of despair.

Everything seemed hopeless to the badger.....

Why wouldn't it? He lost his lover. His lover hated him. He had caused it.

He...

He truly was nothing but a pathetic thief. A speck of evil in this world.

On the other hand, Cyber was having his own inner problems. His head was throbbing, seemingly shouting that Badgerclops was an impostor.

But deep down...

He could hear a small voice, whispering that he had been brainwashed..

That Badgerclops was his true love....

This was only strengthened as he saw him hunched over, sobbing so sadly it broke his heart.

His friends could only sneer in victory, laughing at the sniffling badger, insulting him.

This scene....

Felt familiar....

It felt...

Like he had seen it before...

Felt it....

"Dude, just because you have cybernetics doesn't mean you're a Sky Pirate. I mean, *chuckles* I have some too, and I was hated. Did I let that stop me, though? Nope. Not in the slightest."

His eyes widened. That voice....! Could it be....?

The little part in his heart, the one that never FORGOT cheered, finally spreading itself to the rest of the heart, and consequently body.

Remembering....

He remembered now....

How he and BC met....

And that....

That broke the spell.

The brainwash fell away.

Then, it hit him.

He knew what to do now.

Getting his tail to move, Cyber aimed it towards the Sky Pirates....

And shot them away with a small cannonball.

Caught off guard, the group was sent flying, shouting, "AHHHHH!" before they disappeared into the sky, leaving the four there. Three stunned sheriffs. And one inventor.

"C-Cy...?" Badgerclops finally spoke up, eyes still wet of tears.

Cyber didn't hesitate to rush over and embrace the sobbing badger, "It's okay it's okay. I'm here now...."

Hearing that familiar tone... The one filled with love....

It gave him happiness. Relief.

"Oh Cy!" He finally broke down, hugging him tight as he cried harder and harder. He was so glad that he remembered now!

"I love you, BC," Cyber smiled softly.

"L-Love you too," Badgerclops managed a soft smile as well, which made Mao Mao and Adorabat share a happy grin. Badgerclops was happy now. That's all that mattered to them.
