Keita was ready to die with his many regrets. 

So considered him surprised when Bloom?'s attack was stopped. 

Cue more of it once he realised who it was, "C-Corren!" 

The blond villain just responded with a short "Get Fuyunyan to safety.", summoning his powers as he got into a battle stance. 

Keita was about to protest when he saw the look in Corren's eyes, killing off ANY words he was about to say. 

Why? 

Simple.

Because Corren's eyes had a fire in them. 

One that Keita recognised.

After a while, Keita looked up, and nodded at Corren, signalling that he was okay with the plan. 

Corren just nodded back before he faced his crush while Keita rushed to Fuyunyan's side. 

"Oh, so you're Corren, eh?" Bloom? noted as the two started sizing the other up, circling the spot cautiously. 

"And what if I am?" Corren's eyes were narrowed, focused and angry. Angry that someone would DARE taint his flower. 

"Oh, nothing much," she lazily shrugged, eyes scanning him without a care for the world. "You just seem so interesting." 

"If I seemed so interesting, why go for my sweet flower?" Corren venomously spat out. 

"Cause she's so strong," Bloom? offhandedly replied. "After all, the more light there is, the more darkness there will be as a side-effect." 

"SHUT UP! MY SWEET FLOWER IS MY LIGHT!" Corren snarled before he lunged for her, his power levels spiking off the normal charts. Bloom? merely dodged, opting to use Rose's whip in an effort to catch him off balance. 

However, Corren saw this coming, and instead chose to jump, kicking her away to the ground. He didn't waste his time either, trying to pin her to the ground. 

Unluckily for him, Bloom? was smart, and she used this to kick him backwards, sending him to the same wall that Keita had slammed into not so long ago. 

Unlike Keita, though, Corren immediately got back up and charged for her, not giving her a chance to breathe as he kept on punching her, his powers making them more powerful and also drained less energy from him. 

"I WON'T LET YOU HAVE HER! NEVER! NOT ONCE, NOT TWICE, NOT AS LONG AS I'M STANDING!" Corren declared, his eyes glowing red. His hand reached out to grasp Bloom?'s shirt, gripping it tightly. 

"H-Hold on, what are you doing?!" Alarm and worry could be sensed in her tone. 

"I'm ending you once and for all!" Corren replied before he slowly began to suck the mist up. 

"N-NO!!! LET ME GO LET ME GO YOU BIG BULLY!" she screamed, thrashing around so much it pained Corren to see. 

But he still persisted. 

Because he knew that deep, deep inside, his love was in there. 

And he would do anything for her. 

No matter the cost he had to pay. 

He would never forget the pain he felt as he did it. 

Her screams that would forever haunt his nightmares, making his toss and turn in his sleep. 

It was worth it, though. 

That's why he did this with a sincere smile on his face. 

Keita's eyes widened watching this, "C-Corren...!" 

Eventually, the screams stopped. 

Corren didn't wait to see the results. He just left, leaving Keita and Fuyunyan in the most complex situation they've ever experienced. 

"O-Oniichan?" Bloom spoke as she struggled to stand up, only to be helped by her closest friends. Her confused brown eyes looked at the duo, "W-What just happened? Why are you guys covered in bruises?" 

"It's a long story Bloom," Keita patted her on the head slightly. "For now, we should head home. You must be exhausted."

"I-I am..." Bloom nodded. 

"Then let's go. I'll explain it in the morning, okay?" Keita smiled at her.

"Okay Oniichan!" Bloom smiled at her fellow human, who replied with yet another pat on the head before the trio set off for the Amano household. 

In Corren's house, though, the self-proclaimed liberator of Youkai from humans slumped on the sofa, ice blue eyes looking at the ceiling tiredly. 

"Corren, are you okay?" Darkyubi's concerned tone made his head turn to look at his father, who set a cup of tea down in front of him. 

"Thanks, Dad," Corren reached out to grab the tea and sipping it slightly, "Hm... Lukewarm... Nice job Dad." 

"Hearing that compliment just makes my heart go doki-doki!" Darkyubi joked to him. 

The male could only reply with a "Hm..." before he slowly got up and went back to his room, seeming to have a darker aura than before. 

Darkyubi's eyes widened, "W-What the Kami just happened?"
