Continuous Encounters that Love Set Up, Part 2
Meeting Snugglemagne made sense the first few times. So miscellaneous. She just used it to rub salt on his wound, taunting him and wounding his pride little by little. She could see the hate and fractured eyes beginning to form in his eyes. She savoured that for those times.
But after a few more meetings, Night decided that this was getting ridiculous. What was going on now? Why did she always end up meeting him again and again like some sort of stupid ritual?
Always the same time. Always the same place. And even the same clothes!
Gosh, this was truly beginning to get on her nerves. She hated meeting that coward again and again! He was so cowardly, he didn't deserve to be a king! She despised him with every fiber of her being. Believed her younger brother would have been a better ruler than he would ever be.
However, it didn't help that after every encounter, her heart was warm, her face was red, and she was a sputtering and stuttering mess.
What has that coward done to me?! she wondered as she sat on her throne, trying to figure out the enigma that was the encounters. Why do I always go red whenever I see him?
She was truly confused. She did not understand this strange, warm, happy feeling she got. It was infectious, coursing through her body and bringing a smile to her face.
Why did he have that effect on her?
Would Timber have known? He had always been better at emotions than her, so it would make sense for him to understand this alien feeling she was suffering from.
That name alone made her wince softly.
Oh, Timber, if only you were here.... she sadly reflected. Then you might be able to explain this foreign feeling to me. Mother and Father as well...
Remembering their soft fur, their smiles, their love emanating from them... It all reminded Night of what she had lost. Why she was doing this.
A tear escaped from her aquamarine eyes, "I miss you guys...."
Plesio, having sensed her sadness and grief, moved over to hug her in her awkward little way.
Night just patted Plesio gently, eyes staring out the window as she did so.
I must settle this once and for all, she eventually decided. I must not let this go on. This is weakness. This is useless. I must get rid of it.
With that, she slowly rose from her throne and went off to get ready for their next meeting.
