Bonding in Worrying Times, Part Five

"Well, at least we got something."

Duri looked up from his hands to give Nebok a deadpan look, "Since when did you become optimistic?"

"I'm being realistic, Duri," the pink-haired male shot back. "We did get information."

"If that's how you want to see it, so be it," he sighed. "But anyway, this lead was a dead end."

"Well, Dai did say to have fun too, you know," Nebok chided him slightly.

"Acnee will find us within a second if we do that," Duri's annoyance showed. How could Nebok be so calm and relaxed?

"Well, it's better than being so stiff all the time," Nebok frowned at him. What was up with Duri?

"Excuse me? If I weren't like this all the time, I would have died a long time ago," he crossed his arms.

"Hey, don't get sassy on me," Nebok glared at him. "It was hard on me too. You need to loosen up before it kills you."

"If Acnee doesn't get to me first, the stress will. I prefer letting it get to me than having Acnee kill me," Duri's eyes narrowed.

"Hey, don't be like this. We have to chill once in a while."

"Would 'chilling' help us win the battle? No. Absolutely no. So get your head out of the clouds. We need to win this!"

"Why do you have to finish this so desperately anyway?! You look so thin and frail even Dai had a heart attack seeing you for the first time!"

People were beginning to look at them weirdly, but they didn't care. They were too wrapped up in their argument.

"Why wouldn't I?!"

"Oh wait don't tell me this is to repent for your idiocy back then!"

"Heh, as if you have any room to say anything! You made me feel horrible. And to think I had the guts to feel sorry for you, you coward!"

"EXCUSE ME?! Hey, It's not like your mom died or anything-"

He froze.

Duri's eyes were wide, tears falling down his cheeks as he turned and ran.

"Duri!"

Too late. He was gone.

Nebok was left there, staring and regretting what he had said.
