N-No... T-This can't be happening....

In all her life, Himekawa Yuki had never felt so scared before. Her knees were shaking horribly, ready to buckle any moment now. Hot tears fell down her cheeks as her eyes blurred looking at the scene before her.

"What's wrong, Yuki-chan~" Jiba sing-sang. "Are you scared of us?~"

"Don't be! We're all friends here~" Koma joined in, a dark smile already on his face.

"Y-You're not my friends!" Yuki barely managed to spit out, her eyes now facing the heinous person who did this. "Let them go!"

Red eyes stared back at her as Soranaki lazily flicked his tongue, "No way. They're mine now."

"As if!" Yuki shouted back. "T-They're amazing heroes! Y-You're just a jerk who pretends to be better than all of us when the facts are that you just feel insecure about yourself!"

Soranaki rolled his eyes, "I could say the same about you, honestly."

"I-I'm nothing like that!" Yuki shot back.

Soranaki chuckled hearing that, "You are. You just feel like a burden to them."

"N-No... I-I..." Yuki grew silent hearing that.

Soranaki snapped his fingers, and the 3 heroes moved to stand beside him, their eerie red eyes mocking Yuki with all their might.

Especially Mera's. It's so wrong... He looks horrifying with those eyes.... I-I can't let Soranaki hold them any longer.... I-I....

Yuki started panicking for a while, but then an idea formed in her head. I-I don't like it, but if this is for Mera.... I'll do it!

"Hey Soranaki!" Yuki shouted. "Do you want to make a deal with me?!"

"Hm? A deal with you?" Soranaki tilted his head, eyes sparkling slightly.

"Y-Yeah!" Yuki nodded. "Let my friends go, a-and I'll.... I'll become your apprentice!"

Upon hearing that, Soranaki's eyes glinted, ".... Very well, I accept."

With that, the 3 boys suddenly slumped on the ground.

The next thing Yuki knew, hardened hands had grabbed her waist and a flash.

The last thing she heard, though, was a "YUKI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" from Mera as the boy saw her in Soranaki's hands.

After that, lights out.

"GUYS!" Jiba nearly slammed the class door into pieces as he rushed in, eyes wide as saucers.

Mera and Koma looked up at the cat-like hero just to see him slam a newspaper article on the table, "Look at this!"

Mera's eyes flew to the headline.

His heart sank to the deepest depths of despair in a heartbeat seeing it.

New Villainess Has Ice Quirk?!

The photo of the villainess just sent it to the hydraulic press to be crushed.

"P-Please tell me you're pulling my leg, Jiba....." Mera gasped, the despair beginning to show.

Jiba bit his lip, "I'm not the kind to play such a cruel joke on you, Mera. If anything, it's Soranaki who is."

Mera followed Jiba's example, slowly looking down at the photo again.

Yuki....

He gripped his fists. Memories of spending time with her on their dates flashed back and forth like some kind of movie. Tears invaded his eyes as he hissed in sadness.

Jiba and Koma took that time to comfort him. They too felt partially at fault here. The best they could do was comfort him.

After a while, Mera recomposed himself. The fire in him was now flowing freely in his veins. He was ready to rescue Yuki, whether the Pros liked it or not.

He turned to Jiba and Koma.

The two could see the fire in his eyes, and they understood the meaning.

"You sure about this, Mera?" Koma looked him in the eye.

Mera nodded.

"Once you've started, there's no turning back," Jiba warned.

"And I'm prepared for that."

The two looked at each other again, before Koma sighed, "We'll cover for you."

"The others will be coming in soon, so make your run quick," Jiba added.

"Got it," Mera grabbed his bag and jumped out of the window, using his Quirk to fly away from the school grounds as his hero costume appeared above his uniform.

Don't worry, Yuki. I'll rescue you for sure!

"YUKI!"

That shout, that oh so loving shout, made Yuki turn to see Mera blasting Soranaki away as he dropped down to the ground, a red flame dancing in his eyes.

Mera? Her mental smile was not reflected on her cold and stoic face, now controlled by Soranaki. Instead, her scarlet red lips curled up into a cruel cruel smirk that she hated so much.

"Well, well, look who we have here~" Words that Soranaki wanted her lips to form came out, using a tone she hated so so much.

"Yuki! Snap out of it!" Mera shouted.

"Eeh~ What are you talking about?" Yuki-No, Icentrancess-'s tone was filled with darkness, so full of sadism that even Yuki herself shuddered in fear.

"The Yuki I know is stronger than this! Don't let Soranaki get the better of you!"

"How naïve of you~ Looks like I'll have to knock your innocence away~" Icentrancess hummed before she lunged for him, her ice attacks at the ready.

Mera tried to defend, but Icentrancess was too fast, too strong, that he was sent back flying to a wall.

Yuki started screaming, "LEAVE ME, MERA! I'M NOT WORTH THIS!" But no matter how loud she went, her lips were still not moving. Her entire body REFUSED to listen to her. Instead, it chose to beat Mera up again and again, giving him new wounds every time.

And yet....

He... He still fought. He didn't give up on her.

That touched and terrified her at the same time.

Eventually, it got to the point that he was barely standing, leaning on the wall to get a grip.

"Time to die, I suppose~" Icentrancess sing-sang, towering over Mera with a dark smile on.

"W-Wake up Yuki..." he weakly spoke. "T-This isn't like you...."

Icentrancess just scoffed as she readied her attacks, "How futile. You're so pathetic. "

Mera just winced as he fell to the ground, his injuries finally catching up with his body. His breathing was heavy, his heart was beating fast. He looked pale as well.

Icentrancess pouted upon seeing this, squatting down to get closer to him....

Only for her to lose her balance.

Next thing she knew, Mera had used his remaining energy to push himself off the ground to kiss her.

Just like that, the spell over her was broken. Yuki finally regained control.

And the moment she did, she went red in the face and separated.

Mera was blushing and sputtering as well, "I-I-I'm sorry! I-It's just that it was the only thing I could think of!"

"I-It's fine...." Yuki looked away.

There was silence between the two of them before Mera decided to speak out, "S-So... D-Do you want to go back to being my sidekick?..."

At that, Yuki gave a start, "H-Huh?! I-I can't! N-Not after what happened!"

Mera blinked, "Why not? It wasn't you."

"B-But my Quirk was still used-"

"You will forever be my partner, Yuki-chan," Mera cut off. "And nothing.... Nothing will change that."

Yuki went red both in embarrassment and happiness, "T-Thank you!"

Mera just smiled in response.
