Father-In-Training
For Kiss-me-in-Paris enjooooy!
"Captain, where did you get that?" Thomas asked, pointing to the bottle of amber liquid.
"This? I raided it from Alan's ship." Morgan chuckled, happily swishing the wine.
"Morgan!" Cecilia cried, ready to scold the idiot she loved.
"It's not like he would enjoy it more than my crew." Morgan grinned shamelessly.
Cecilia shook her head and frowned at the captain.
"Ugh, fine. He always shows up at our full moon parties. I'll give 'em a new bottle. Nathan poor the glasses. Don't bother waiting for me." Morgan grumbled as Cecilia nodded in approval.
Everyone was curious about this wine that had no brand name.
Nathan carefully poured each glass, even Cecilia, who looked down on drinking, was having a glass.
"Shouldn't we wait for Captain?" Thomas asked as the others got ready to down their drinks.
"He said to go ahead and don't wait for him." Russell shrugged before drinking his drink.
"This taste a little weird..." Cecilia said, eyebrows furrowing.
Nathan nodded in agreement, sniffing the left over contents.
"Maybe it's new. Old whiskey is obviously better." Eduardo rolled his eyes.
BAM!
Morgan stood up straight at the sound of a crash coming from the deck. 'Alan must be here.' He grimaced before climbing the steps back to his crew.
"Here again Ala- WHAT THE FUCK?!?" Morgan cried, falling on his bum. 6 innocent, curious pairs of eyes watched him.
"Mister, you said a bad word." A small Thomas said.
"W-wha?!"
"Cool! Look at these awesome swords!" Little Russell looked at his old swords with glittering eyes.
"H-how?!"
"Sir, are you alright? Did you hurt ourself when you fell?" A young Christopher asked.
"W-when?!"
"This is a ship." Kid Eduardo said matter of factly to an un-caring Nathan. "Mhm." He nodded in acknowledgment.
"W-who?"
"Mister, are you a pirate?" Child Cecilia asked innocently.
"What the hell is going on?!?" Morgan roared.
Cecilia and Thomas burst into tears as Christopher tried to calm them down.
"U-Um don't cry?" Morgan awkwardly patted his wife and youngest crew member on the head.
Cecilia seemed to cry harder and clung to Morgan's coat.
"There, there." Morgan awkwardly patted her back.
"How, er, how old are you...kids?"
"I'm 6!" Russell said proudly, Eduardo, Christopher and Nathan nodding along to agree.
"I'm 5." Thomas and Cecilia said in unison and ended up giggling.
"Right, of course, great, now why are you 5-6?" He muttered to himself.
Cecilia let go of his coat and started playing with Thomas.
"DON'T TOUCH THAT!" Morgan cried, yanking the swords out of Russell's hands.
He glared at his captain. "You can't tell me what to do old man." Before kicking him in the shin and running off.
"Come back 'er! I'm going to feed ye to the sharks!"
"Waaaaah!"
Morgan whipped around to see Eduardo chasing Cecilia, tripping over their baggy clothes.
"Oi!" Morgan grabbed the scruff of Eduardo's neck.
Eduardo glared at him.
"Sit down!"
Eduardo ignored him and began chasing Thomas.
Christopher was putting a bandage on Cecilia's knee and Nathan was looking at the food as if studying it.
Morgan looked at the bottle and paled when he looked at the bottom.
Fountain of Youth!
Go back 20 years in your age! 100% guaranteed to work! Last 4-5 hours!
"Noooooo" Morgan moaned, digging a hand through his brown hair.
"Mister Pirate, you have princess hair!" Cecilia cried in awe.
Morgan had to admit. Having his wife tell him he had princess hair...that definitely wasn't the top of his bucket list or romantic in the least.
"I do not have princess hair Ceil." He told the child firmly.
"But," she shuffled her feet sadly, "you look so pretty."
"YEAH!" Russell cried as he jumped on Morgan's back.
"Oi! What are you doing?!" Morgan stood up straight.
"Shut up and run!"
"Eyepatch stop bullying Tommy!" Cecilia yelled at the older boy.
"Make me! I can throw you over like this!" Eduardo tried to snap his fingers but he only stabbed his thumb in the process.
"Ow damn!"
"Eyepatch said a swear!" Cecilia yelled.
"Eduardo no swearing!" Morgan shouted in frustration. Eduardo rolled his eyes and yanked on Cecilia's hair.
"Pirate Princess, Eyepatch is hurting me!"
"Eduardo go to the corner!"
"What am I, 6?"
"Yes you are!" Morgan growled.
Eduardo cursed and sat at a corner.
Morgan finally peeled Russell off his back. "You go join him."
"You can't tell me-"
"Please?" Morgan asked as nicely as he could.
"Grr fine. You got lucky grandpa." Russell slumped in the corner with Eduardo, clearly not happy.
Now where was Nathan?
"Oh shit!" Morgan yelped and ran to pick Nathan off the table.
Nathan kicked in protest, his hands toward a butcher knife.
Morgan threw the boy over his shoulder and sat him besides Eduardo and Russell who were being checked for injuries by Christopher.
Thomas walked to Morgan, crying and rubbing his eyes.
"M-Mister? I-I don't l-like the d-dark. I-I wanna g-go home!"
Morgan flinched and tried to think of something that would appease the little crew member.
As Thomas cried louder, Morgan panicked and threw his captain hat on Thomas's head
The little boy's chocolate eyes looked up in wonder.
"Um yer the big boy here...ye er have to protect the ones ye love. Tears won't help....probably."
Thomas contemplated this before grinning at Morgan goofily. "Thanks Mister!" And scampered off to join Christopher.
He felt something touch his hair and sighed. "Really Cecilia?"
The said girl giggled and continued to braid his hair with her nimble little fingers.
He sighed heavily. "Your lucky I love ye'. All of ye'..."

The crew seemed pretty embarrassed when Morgan told them what had happened.
Each one (even Christopher who was probably the only one keeping him sane) apologized profusely.
When everyone filed awkwardly out of the but Cecilia and Morgan he groaned.
"I don't want boys as children. To hyperactive." Cecilia giggled.
"You know you'll have to let your daughter find boyfriends, go through her monthly cycle, insecurities-"
Morgan shuddered. "Why would she have insecurities if she's our daughter."
Cecilia shrugged and got up to leave.
"By the way Morgan," her voice and eyes softened, "you did wonderful. It's good training." She winked before leaving the room.
Morgan blinked, "Cecilia?! Does that mean-"
