"Vegetables are gross Ryu!" Ashley whined.

Ryuzo frowned at the 6 year old. "Vegetables are good for you!"

"Doesn't mean they taste good. " Ashley sulked.

Ryuzo grinned. "But vegetables make you stronger! That way you can punch people and save the day!"

Ashley's eyes glittered excitedly. "Really?!?" Ryuzo nodded and gave a thumbs up.

"Just eat your vegetables!"

"Ugh ok." Ashley frowned but sat down and ate the rest of her vegetables.

~10 years ago~
"You have to eat your vegetables Ashley!"

"All of them?! But Ryu..."

"You have to grow up healthy and strong, just like me!" Ryuzo grinned as the group of friends rolled their eyes.

Ashley frowned at him. "If you eat 2 chocolate bars made from pure chocolate and nothing else than I will eat the rest of my veggies." Ryuzo looked at her on disbelief.

"Y-you wouldn't do that to me w-would you Ashley?" Ichigo and Rihito snickered as Haruki looked at him in sympathy.

Ashley grinned and waved two dark chocolate bars.

Ryuzo gulped and visibly shuddered.

"You don't have to do it Ryu~! Just don't make me eat my vegetables~!" Ryuzo got a determined look and took the chocolate bars as if they were bombs.

"C'mon Ryu" Ashley laughed at the expression of immense pain when he bit into the bar.

Soon, after a lot of pain, whooping, and laughter, Ryu finished the bars.

"Aw that means I have to-" Ashley began pouting.

"Finish your vegetables!" Ryu grinned.

~Present time~

"Lana, why haven't you finished your vegetables?" Ryuzo asked his 3 year old daughter.

"Don't like." She sulked and pushed the vegetables around on her plate.

Ashley giggled and as the scene was very familiar.

"You have to grow up healthy and strong like your Daddy!" Lana looked at him incredulously.

"Eat Lana's veggies." Lana grinned and pushed the plate.

"She wants an example Ryu." Ashley winked at her daughter.

"Oh! Look Lana! This is how you- Hey!" He cried as Lana left the table on her fat toddler legs.

"Lana come back and eat your vegetables!!!" Ryu cried and bolted after their daughter.

Ashley smiled softly at the duo as Ryu seung Lana onto his shoulders.

"Don't wanna!" She cried hitting him with her chubby arms.

"Ow! Wow Lana, you're so strong!" The toddler stopped and look at her father.

"Really? Lana strong?"

"Oh yeah, imagine if you eat vegetables! You would be super strong!" Ryuzo cried dramatically.

Lana burst into a fit of giggles. "Bam! Bam! Lana strong! Need veggies!"

Ashley chuckled and shook her head at the pair.

"Mommy! Lana strong!"

"Oh yeah! Lana is super strong." Ashley stroked he daughters cheek. "You'll protect your little brother won't you?"

"Mhm! Lana super hero!"

Lana quickly sat down and ate her vegetables.

"Little brother?" Ryuzo asked in shock.

Ashley turned to her husband and smiled, her hands going to her stomach. "Surprise?"

Ryuzo stood in shock before beaming and wrapping Ashley in a embrace.

"I better make sure to prepare, and tell our parents, and-"

"Eat your vegetables." Ryuzo smiled into her hair.

"Eat my vegetables." Ashley agreed.
