Y'all, god I hate to do this, it seems like all this month all I've been doing is complaining. I'm sorry about that but my mental health hasn't been too great. And a couple of things had made it worse.

I have absolutely no problem with reading any if the sander sides fics you write or recommend but please, please, tag your fics.

I don't care if you think it's something minor, tag it.

Things like self harm- oh it's only one razor, nothing graphic - tag it.

Rape/Noncon- I don't give a damn if it's nothing detailed, you mention it, you tag it.

Abuse- in all or any of its forms- tag it.

Now when it comes to recommending me or asking me to read your fics, I got absolutely no problem so long as they are tagged.

However, If the fic contains any Rape/Noncon elements, I will not read it.

I don't care if it makes the plot more out going, more emotional or more angst ridden. Do not recommend those to me.

Reasons:

First of all Rape is a very serious and disgusting crime. It's a trigger for me so don't.

Second, majority of the writting including the topic are crudely written and it's like Character A is raped by Character E and now they are a broken mess. Queue Character R who is for some reason madly in love with Character A and tries to woo them.
And then in the next two or three chapters. Character A in some vulnerable moment (likely drunk or had just come out of a panic attack) tells Character R their secret of how they are disgusting for being used, and then Character R kisses them and boom everything is magically fixed, the end.

This type of thing bothers me to the max, please try to see why, it's the Romanticism of a heinous act. And is literally only used for...for pity, for emotional manipulation. You could easily replace Character A getting beaten up by Character E and the outcome would have still been the same, tell me that you can see that.

Third, while I understand most of you might not agree with the above and that's fine, you do you please just don't ask me to read yours if it includes these elements.

I can read self harm, so long as I have had prior warnings.

AN:// I wrote this because I got 5 fics, all of which had mentions of Anxiety or Patton being raped and there was no tags and I was not prepared for it.

Call me stupid because I thought after the first one what would have been the odds of the others being the same?

Y'all I'd die in the Hunger games, the odds aren't in my favor.
