He had his Gatorade.

He had his wine glass

He had his phone.

He had his headphones.

The tub was filled with warm soapy water that smelled of Lavender.

All he had to do was get in.

Christmas and New year's had been a hectic time as a matter of fact things were still pretty hectic even with Thomas taking a break. Speaking of, that's exactly what he was told to do.

Take a break.

The others had gotten fed up with him during the script planning meeting. Patton was the one who called for everyone to take a break, it was probably because of him though. Then again he was wound up pretty tight, almost everything would either set him off or cause him to flinch away.

Roman's idea were beginning to get ludicrous or worse, waay off budget.
Login was busy trying to schedule everything in regards to ideal filming time and planning time and eating time and- at this point the emo wondered if the Teacher had planned time for writing the schedule itself.
Dad was doing...something? Anxiety wasn't really sure what Patton was doing but the father was the first to call for the break, huh, maybe it wasn't all his fault.

Usually they would brush off the Parental's request, except that this time Patton used his "Dad voice" and everyone went scrambling. Hell, even Joan and Talyn moved, shutting their laptops and jumping onto the couch. He himself had ran into his room, not willing to risk what ever anger-the father may have held a smile but they all knew he's faked those many times before-that was held under that tone.

Not really knowing how to take a break, Virgil's went to his number one source, Google.

Scrolling through, most of the suggestions were read, or listen to audio books, or music or take a bath. Figuring it wouldn't hurt to do all of the above, the dark trait gathered his supplies.

First, he had taken a shower with his phone playing music in the background. He was going to take a bath but he wasn't too keen on sitting in a tub of his own filth, only once he was sufficiently cleaned, he filled the tub. He was given a purple soothing bath set by Valerie for Christmas and he figured now was a perfect time to use it, so he did.

While the water filled he poured a little of the liquid lavender bubble soap into the tub. He wasn't sure how much to put so he just used a cap full. Suds started to form almost instantly and he was really glad he didn't use a lot. Lavender smelt really good.

Next he set up his audio books, the ones he got from Logan's gift. This one was about constalations, he figured he could loan this one to the teacher when he was done since he was taking up an astronomy course.

When that was done, Virgil grabbed his wine glass, placed it near the edge of the tub and filled it with his favorite purple Gatorade - yeah he liked purple, deal with it.

Now all he had to was sink into the water.

Taking a breath, Virgil lowered himself into the tub, he hissed at the uncomfortable warm feeling but very quickly got used to it. Easing out another breath, he sank further until he rested his back on the tubs edge. He took a short second to get used to the bubbles that now reached under his collar bone. When he was comfortable enough, he put on his headphones, pressed play, picked up his wine glass, sat back and enjoyed the audio book.

He had gotten halfway through the book when he realised that his Gatorade was completely finished, but he was fine, comfortable enough to not need it anymore. He sat back again with his eyes closed, simply listening and relaxing.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

KNOCK KNOCK-"Hey Virgil!"

KNOCK KNOCK-"Virge!"

"You ok in there kiddo?"

The emo in question blinked, his eyes slowly sliding open.
Ther was a sound in his ears but... it wasn't the book. Frowning he lifted one side of the ear piece, only to hear frantic knocking and his name being called by a certain father.

"Pat?" He called out, his voice was heavy and sleep thick but by the sigh of relief he could hear outside the bathroom door, Patton had obviously heard him.

"You ok in there champ?"

"...uh yeah, I was taking a bath"

There was a breif moment of silence before Patton spoke up again.

"You fell asleep didn't you?" The Parent's tone was knowing and Virgil could practically hear his smile.

He sighed, "yeah"

The father outside chuckled, "there is a thing called being a little too relaxed Verge"

"Yeah, yeah, ughh"

"You're all pruned up aren't ya?" He giggled.

"It's not funny!"

"It is, just a little. Now how bout you get outta that tub before you start lookin older than your Oldman, hmm?"

"Yeah, I'm getting out-"

Patton could hear the water sloshing and then-

"Gah, shit!"

"What? What happened?"

"It's cold!"

Patton couldn't help it, he laughed, all  bubbly and full bellied.

AN://ok got another something out. It's killing me but I'll keep going, I just  need some motivation! I've got over 1k words written for the Innerworks chapter. That's 8 pages and counting and I've still got way more to go. 10 pages is usually my minimum but like last time this should be another long chap because of how late it's getting out. I'll try to type out some more tomorrow on my way home and then on the weekends but school is already kicking and I've got a chem quiz tomorrow. (It's legit still the first week of school.)
