18 - Truth Before Confession

"It's so damn beautiful hyung." Jimin gasped when he viewed the farmhouse.

Yoongi lowkey chuckled and walked further with Jimin beside him.

"I've visited here thrice I guess? But today it looks different, it looks special. Is there any occasion?" Jimin continued to watch the soothing colours of the decorative lights. The mesmerizing smell of the fresh flowers of god knows how many varieties. Everything looked beautiful.

Little did he know that someone kept finding him more beautiful than the preparations.

"You did them? Is there some sort of meeting with a very special party?" Jimin questioned.

Yoongi sighed. He very well knows that Jimin wouldn't believe that his hyung would do these things for him, until now, only.

"Yes, this is for someone special." Yoongi smiled, "named Park Jimin."

"Me?" Jimin stared the older.

"Park Jimin right?" Yoongi gestured him to resume walking.

They finally reached a hall where the table with extraordinary arrangements were already set. Food was organised in buffets, champagne was kept on the table with fancy glasses and a large window catched Jimin's eyes which gave proper view of the late evening or can say early night sky and the sea.

There was not a single soul besides the two males. It was clear that the organiser preferred privacy and peace.

"Hyung? What's all this for?" Jimin genuinely asked.

"Come." Yoongi led Jimin towards the large window and both of them sat on the counter. Yoongi poured the champagne in the two glasses and handed one of them to Jimin.

The younger kept staring the older in confusion.

"C'mon Jimin, it's not poisoned." Yoongi remarked.

Jimin smiled nervously and took a small sip.

"So I've a lot to talk about." Yoongi paused, "But before everything else, you need to know something. You really deserve to know it although I'm too late to say it."

Jimin could feel his heart thumping. What could it be? Why was Yoongi this dead serious? Why? What was happening? Is he going to loose everything today? No right?

"Remember when we had a party at my place when we won the brand reputation? Yes, the sleepover." Yoongi took another sip while Jimin nodded.

"The next morning, you woke up with a hangover. You asked me if something happened the previous night and I denied."

Jimin kept nodding. He was already very anxious behind that fake smile he held.

"I had lied." Yoongi sighed.

Jimin's eyes widened. That means something happened and of course not for good. At least this is what Yoongi's expressions said, "W-What happened then?"

"In vino veritas, in wine, there's truth." Yoongi looked at the beautiful night sky.

No! That's what Jimin's mind screamed. Truth? As far as Jimin knows, there's only one truth he has been hiding from his hyung and no way on earth he should know it.

"I-I- I didn't get it hyung." Jimin stuttered.

"Let's make it easy Jimin." Yoongi looked into the crescent eyes, "by not playing dumb. You already know how much I hate it." Says the person who himself has been playing dumb for weeks.

Jimin gulped, "I would be glad if you don't blame me for this. I really don't expect anything from you, trust me~~" He was cut off by Yoongi raising his palm, asking him to stop speaking.

"You told me everything that night Jimin, no need to repeat it. You were high, I wasn't. And over everything, I had promised you that it would not effect our friendship before you spilled everything." Yoongi inhaled deeply.

Jimin was on the verge of tearing up but he was mature enough to restrain those tears from falling.

Yoongi chuckled, a gloomy chuckle, "Your eyes were sparkling the same way that night, as they are today. But I wish, it was happiness instead of the tears both of the times."

And that's it, the long buried tears, refreshed. The memories, the reality, everything struck him together. He managed to control himself from breaking down though.

"You told me everything Jimin. How I've been breaking your heart, every time. How I've disappointed you. How I've failed to realize your pain disguised in a lovely smile. How each time your heart broke when you were actually comforting me. How I've always been happy around you without noticing your shattered self."

Jimin gulped the champagne in his glass in one go, "It's not your mistake hyung. No one can force someone to reciprocate their feelings. It's really okay."

"Will you say the same if I tell you that after all those things, I kissed you? And then told you to forget it because I'm not made for another male?"

This staggered Jimin, "No way in the world I would believe that it happened."

"It indeed did. I kissed you Jimin, that night, I did." Yoongi sighed, "I'm sorry. I'm really sorry."

Oh.

Sorry.

This was the agenda of these preparations.

These lights, didn't speak love, they screamed apology.

What were you expecting Park Jimin?

Hurt once again?

How pathetic!

"Jimin? Look, I'm genuinely very sorry. I shouldn't have done that."

"It's okay hyung." Jimin hung his head low, "This was the reason I never told you my feeling hyung. I knew you will feel pity on me, I knew it. And oh, how much accurate I was. You've already kissed me because you felt pity on me, that night."

"You're getting it wrong Jimin." Yoongi tried to assure.

"No hyung, it's alright. Everyone would do the same if someone would cry in front of them, begging to be loved. But that's not my real self. I'm satisfied with what I have. I really don't expect anything from you."

Yoongi remained silent, not really knowing what to say. So, he just embraced the older in his arms. But, Jimin didn't hug him back.

He was hurt, once again, because of you. You're an idiot Min Yoongi, he blamed himself.

"You said you love the warmth of my embrace so why are you denying it now?" Yoongi whispered.

Jimin wrapped his arms around Yoongi's back with shaky hands, tears rolling down from his eyes, "I don't have any kind of rights-"

"Shhhh!!" Yoongi cut him off, "Calm down Jimin, you've a lot to hear."

After a while of calming the younger, Yoongi parted away, "You okay?"

Jimin nodded.

"Over everything, you made me realize that how wrong I was, all of the time. How much in denial I was and as usual, you had been paying for my mistake." Yoongi inched closer to Jimin and held his hands.

"Wine you dumbass, wine!" Taehyung yelled when the younger kept pulling out beer bottles for the nth time.

Jungkook giggled, happier than ever to tease the older.

"That's it, I'm leaving!" Taehyung humphed.

"Okay wait! Here's the wine bottle." Jungkook managed to control his laughter.

He brought the bottle and two glasses to where Taehyung was seated in the study room. Jungkook poured the drink in the glasses and handed one of them to Taehyung.

"Why were you so reluctant on choosing beer instead of wine huh?" Taehyung remarked.

"Because after 4-5 glasses of it, you would have been on my lap." Jungkook joked.

"Well, that does not depend on the type of drink, it rather depends on Kim Taehyung." The older licked his bottom lip which didn't go unnoticed by the younger.

And the next moment, Taehyung seated himself on Jungkook's lap. As soon as Jungkook reached out to hold his waist, Taehyung stood up and got back to where he was sitting previously.

"You're outstanding in teasing, aren't you?" Jungkook groaned. They sipped their drinks while interlocking their gazes.

"We aren't boyfriends!" Both of them yelled in unison and giggled.

"How well they believe us. We should begin to pursue an acting career just like Jin and Namjoon hyung." Taehyung pointed out.

Jungkook agreed and gulped his glass of wine.

For a while, they chit chatted with the mini drinking party after which they headed out in the living room. Hairi and the other staff had already left as it was late in the night.

"Give me some comfy clothes Jungkook." Taehyung demanded while feeling a bit dizzy.

"Yeah." Jungkook chuckled and helped Taehyung to accompany him to his room.

As soon as they stepped into the room, Jungkook walked towards the closet and Taehyung seated himself on the bed. His hands were resting widely on the bed while he grinned sleepily.

Jungkook offered a few of his clothes to the older which he kept denying. His glare rested on the younger's back with a small smirk plastered on his face. He stood up and rested the whole of his body against the wall besides Jungkook.

"C'mon Tae, this or this? I'm fed up now choose any one of them." Jungkook frowned.

Taehyung nodded in denial and kept those clothes aside. The next moment, he grabbed Jungkook's collar and pulled him over himself, "Nothing is more comfortable than your arms, Jeon Jungkook."

Jungkook reciprocated the smirk formed on the older's face. He grabbed his waist and pulled him even closer, leaving no space even for air to pass. Taehyung wrapped his arms around the younger's nape.

They could feel each other's hot breathe against their skin. Who knew that their pretty sleepover would end up like this? With lust overflowing in their eyes?

Wasting no time, Jungkook pressed his lips against Taehyung's. Their lips moved skillfully with pure bliss. Jungkook bit the older's lower lip to which he got the desired entrance. Taehyung played with Jungkook's shirt's collars while leaving sensual touches on the younger's neck which were working to make him turn on. Jungkook explored every inch of the older's mouth and later parted away in the need for some air.

The next moment, they began to laugh while heads resting on each other's shoulders. They laughed how everything seemed to be so right and so enjoyable although it meant nothing.

Yes, what could it ever mean after all? Everything was just an escape from reality. No wonder because this was the base of the beginning of their bond.

Sharing intimacy was fun. Teasing each other was worth enjoying. And forgetting everything the next moment, was habit. These were the rules which no one said out loud but knew to the core of their heart.

Only one thing, that was beyond these non-defined rules. Caring for each other, was the bond of their close friendship.
