Just a reminder to not hate on anyone from the countries that committed the stuff they did, and that I don't view any of these countries in a negative light. These are once again characters that don't represent their government or people and no harm is intended.

Now, enjoy chapter 46.

Third Person POV

EU and the other organisations stared at Syria in shock. NATO stood up and extended his wings, it was obvious he was gonna tackle the short country. "Wait! Before you do anything..." Syria took a breath. "I'll show you where they're hiding out. We have a base in a harsh part of the forest and that's where the missing countries are also being held."

The organisations looked at each other. Arab League stared at Syria before closing his eyes. After a tense moment of silence, he opened his eyes again and looked at the other organisations. "He's telling the truth."

EU nodded and stood up. "Alright, Syria. Let us get equipment and supplies before we go."

All the organisations and a lot of countries were gathered behind Syria at the edge of a forest. America and a few others were handing out guns. Others were passing around and making sure they had enough equipment.

"Syria, are you ready?" EU asked.

Syria nodded. Despite his eyes being covered by his bandana, it didn't keep people from seeing the look of determination he had. "This nightmarish period of our lives will soon be over."

"You worked with them, right? What are the conditions? How are the countries and UN treated?" Serbia asked.

"Horribly. They're tortured, starved, beaten, taunted, and much, much more." Syria shivered.

"Those frickers will pay for what they've done." China spat.

"Can I shoot someone?" South Korea asked.

"If needed. Remember, we want them alive." NATO said.

"I suggest we be quiet as we go. Look, I know a lot of you are furious and want to help your friends and family members, but it'll be much better to us if we caught them off guard." Syria said.

"What about you? Surely they've realized you're gone by now." Kazakhstan raised a brow, stretching his wings. His wings were covered in stuff 'specially designed to protect them in battle. Many other winged countries wore the same stuff.

"If they have, they would've assumed I went home and plan to yell at me for leaving the door open tomorrow. If they haven't, they'll think I'm off somewhere else in the base." Syria explained. "They always assume I'm off doing something else since...well...I guess they'd describe me as 'special.'"

"C'mon, lets go! Our friends and family have been waiting for so long, they're ready to leave!" Canada shouted.

The other countries that were there raised their weapons or hats and cheered. The organisations chuckled or smirked. "Lead the way, Syria." EU nodded.

"Here it is," Syria whispered, motioning to the base that he had previously worked in. "Everyone's in there."

"Great, let's go in." Third Reich said.

Syria held Reich back. "No, no, there are multiple exits. At least 10 people go through each, and then choose where you'll enter on your own. This way they'll be surrounded and we catch them while simultaneously freeing the captures, though I recommend most of us going through the main door."

Reich groaned but didn't say anything. "And...how many entrances are there?" America asked.

"As far as I know, four. They should be easy to find. Stick out like a sore thumb."

"With how hidden y'all were I figured this base would be more camouflaged." ASEAN said.

Syria shrugged. "Mid- Vietnam didn't think to do that. He figured we were too hidden to be found in the first place so why bother spending time making the base look good when we could be having fun torturing the countries and messing with the others? His words, not mine."

EU's wings twitched. "Let's find those doors."

The countries and organisations had divided themselves into five groups. The largest group was being led by Syria through what he described as the main door. Three others were going through the other entrances, led by African Union, Arab League, and NATO. The remaining group consisted of countries that either had medical degrees (there used to be schools for countryhumans in the human world to earn degrees) or were very good at anything medical. The 'leader' of that group was WHO. The medical group would remain outside the base.

"Everyone ready?" Syria radioed, staring at the main door. Yes, even though he was wearing a bandana he could still see. Don't question the logic of this world.

"Ready." All the other leaders radioed back.

"Alright..." Syria took a deep breath in and let it out. "3...2...1... GO!"

The four groups charged inside the base. Syria immediately led some countries and organisations to the main room, kicking the door open. Mongolia gasped and stood up. His wings began to fluff up but he was quickly tackled by 2 organisations and 1 country. He shouted and struggled to get free, yelling in pain when the country grabbed his wings. "Okayokay!"

Syria left the room and ran down the hall towards the torture room, remembering what Afghanistan had said about UN. He saw that the door was open and ran inside. "UN?!" He yelled.

He saw a few countries wrestling Afghanistan to the ground and EU holding the sobbing organisation. EU looked at Syria with a distressed but angry face and sprinted out if the room, most likely heading for WHO. Syria cast a glance at Afghanistan before leaving and going to help the captures.

"Did you see Palestine?" South Korea asked.

China nodded, a grim look on his face. "I was with Iran when we did. He fell to the floor and cried. Had to be escorted out. I heard Israel saw her corpse as well but I don't know what his reaction was."

South hummed. "How many countries have we freed?"

"We're almost done. Russia and Soviet have just been carried out by Taiwan and his friends."

"What about North? Has anyone got North?"

China went silent. "...I don't know; I hope so. It not then we'll get him since there's only a few remaining."

"What if he isn't here? What if he's dead like Palestine?" South began to tremble and gripped his gun harder.

China tensed up. "Don't say that. I'm sure he's fine. Besides, we can confirm with Syria after this about anybody else they might've killed."

America suddenly radioed through: "I saw someone running through the woods, chasing after them now."

"Be careful, America. If it's Vietnam he may be armed." France radioed in response.

"I'll be fine."

His body hadn't run in a long time, and it was in no state to. He was starved and his body felt aches and pains from his beatings, wounds, and injuries. Scratching his legs and arms on the sharp branches of the trees and bushes as he pushed his way through the forest didn't help much either.

His breathing was shallow and his legs burned. His eyes poured tears down his scratched cheeks. He wanted nothing more than to go home. Go home and be held in someone's arms.

North Korea's body slowly began to slow down against his will. He silently begged for it to keep going as he heard footsteps behind him draw closer. No matter what he did, however, his body gave up on him and his legs collapsed just short of a tree.

North crawled to the tree and turned around. One of the faces that had put him through all this horrendous pain approached him. "Shoulda killed ya sooner," Vietnam snarled, "but then my fun would've been significantly lowered."

North choked a sob as he trembled. "If I'm getting caught, then some other countries will suffer. Killing you will do just the trick." Vietnam stepped towards North, gripping a knife that was stained with blood. North began to sob as he begged for his life.

Two loud bangs echoed through the forest. Vietnam stumbled, dropping the knife and held his side, though another wound was in his back. He then was tackled by America. "Not on my watch, ya ain't!" The American shouted.

Vietnam tried to resist but began complying when a gun was held to his head. "Did ya get him?" Canada asked, running up as well.

"Yep. Pick up North, I got this douche." America forced Vietnam to stand up, the latter struggling a bit.

Canada turned to North and crouched down. "Hey," he smiled reassuringly at the sobbing and trembling Korean, "can you walk?"

North shook his head.

"Alright. I won't drop you, I promise." Canada carefully picked North up bridal-style. "Let's head back, Ame."

"North!" China yelled upon seeing Canada and America come into view. He tried to run over but Taiwan grabbed and prevented him. "Tai, I have to-"

"Canada needs to get North to WHO so he's healed enough to make it to the hospital. Every second counts." The taller said.

China sighed and nodded in agreement. "I'll go check on the others."

China walked over to where Soviet, Russia, and Finland were sitting. Estonia was sitting next to Finland talking softly to him. "Hey...how you feeling?" China asked.

"B-Better already!.." Russia smiled. "I-I honestly didn't think you guys would come..."

China managed a sad chuckle. "And I didn't think I'd see y'all again..."

He looked at the bandages wrapped around Soviet's torso. Soviet himself was spacing out. "...So, he has-"

"Yeah.. Maybe I can get him to eventually tell me more but for now I just wanna go to the hospital." Russia sighed.

"North's the final one WHO and the other medical countries have to heal, then we can begin heading out."

Russia smiled. "Th-That's great! Finally, finally this period of our lives is over!"
