If you understand Korean or any language that isn't English on here, I'm sorry if Google Translate doesn't convert it correctly oof. But then again, I don't know if Google Translate translates it correctly or not :P
North Korea P.O.V.
China had just finished telling me a funny story, and was about to start another one when America bust into the room.
"China! I've been looking for you all-" America stared at me and we locked eyes (He actually locked eyes with my one eye that wasn't covered with an eyepatch).
When America had bust in I internally groaned. Then South walked in trying to calm America down and I internally groaned AGAIN.
America was ignoring South Korea.
"North Korea." He said coldly.
"America." I returned the tone.
The four of us sat in silence. South twiddling with his fingers and kept glancing between America and me, and China stared at the desk he was sitting in.
America only took one step forward when China quickly got up and blocked his way of getting to me. I was standing now and was confused by China's actions.
China cleared his throat. "So, about that trade..."
America perked up, completely forgetting about me. His voice was more cheerful now. "Yeah! I actually was looking for you because of that. We never specified when we'll trade."
China nodded. "How about after school at my house?"
"Sure! See you there." America waved at China and left the class. Before he exited the classroom though, he glared at me. Guess he didn't forget I was there.
South was now standing alone while me and China stared at him. He didn't say anything but continued to twiddle with his fingers.
I was started to wish he was gone and I started tapping my feet. South looked up at us in reponse, I guess.
"This is my homeroom, too."
I groaned. Just great. My annoying brother is not only in the same school, but he's in the same homeroom as me. South--for some reason--smiled. "I sit next to you, North. Now we can-"
I slammed my head on the desk next to me. China immediately checked if I was okay. I was, just little dizzy, but I was fine. I nodded when he asked if I was okay for the fifth time.
South Korea's hand was over his mouth and he had a worried expression on his face.
"North Korea! Are you okay?" He asked, walking over to us. South tried to help me regain my balance but I pushed him away. Instead, I leaned against China to regain my balance; who held onto me.
Before South could make another attempt to help me, America walked back inside. "South, I know this is your homeroom but come on."
South hesitantly walked over to the door. Both he and America left and their footsteps echoed down the hall.
"Thank goodness..." I murmered.
"Are you okay? Why did you do that?" China was still holding me even though I had regained my balance.
"I'm fine, China. But America AND South Korea are attending the same school as me? That's my worst nightmare come true."
China nodded in understanding and finally let go of me. I immediately was disappointed that he wasn't holding me anymore--wait, what?
China sighed. "Do you wanna go see anybody else? We can leave our backpacks here."
I thought for a moment. "아냐, 학교가 곧 시작될거야 나중에 러시아 나 소련을 볼 수있을 것입니다. (Nah, school will start soon. Maybe we can see Russia or Soviet later on.)"
China looked at me in hopes of a translation. I smiled and shook my head, as if saying "Figure this one out alone."
China pouted and sat back down in his desk. I giggled at his response and sat down in my desk, too.
I stopped laughing after hearimg some footsteps--actually, LOTS of footsteps in the hallway.
It must be 8:30.
Russia and Ukraine walked into the classroom. Russia greeted both China and me with a smile and a wave.
Ukraine smiled at China but snorted at me. I honestly didn't care. In response, I flipped him off.
Ukraine glared at me and sat down at the front of the classroom. Russia sat two seats behind him, so he was in front of China. China and I always sit in the back.
As time passed, more countries entered the classroom. Indonesia, Madagascar, India, Malaysia, Chile, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Australia, and more. Eventually, as expected, South Korea entered and sat right next to me.
To my surprise, he didn't immediately start talking to me, instead opting to turn around and chat with Brazil.
"How was the game?" South Korea asked the Brazilian.
"It went great. My team won every match except one." Brazil boasted.
"What happened during the match you lost?" South Korea asked.
"The scores were tied, and there was only one minute left in the match. Then all of a sudden, the enemy team got another point! Argentina's team totally cheated."
Argentina was two desks to the right of Brazil. "What do you mean my team cheated?! It was your team that wasn't playing fair the whole game!"
"Face it, Argentina, your team cheated just so you could win the game. I'm still going on to the championship so there's no need to deny it." Brazil smiled at Argentina.
"My team didn't cheat!!"
"Yes it did!!"
They started arguing and South turned back around. I tuned out Brazil and Argentina's voices because they were kinda annoying. South turned to me and poked my arm.
"Hey North. How are you?"
I ignored him like I always do. I could feel him still looking at me, but I couldn't glance because my dang right eye is covered with my eyepatch. Don't think I'll take off the eyepatch, because I won't.
Eventually. I felt him turn away from me. I looked at him and he was staring at his desk. There was actually hurt in his eyes and I felt a little bad. I almost felt urge to tap and talk to him.
Almost.
I turned away and pulled out my phone. The teacher is never there in the homeroom. The students can do what they want.
I started texting Soviet Union, who was on the second floor.
Me
Hey Soviet
Soviet Union

Me

Me
Oh my god..

Soviet Union
Better be more exciting than what's happening here.
Go for it
Me
Brazil and Argentina are arguing about who cheated during the game they had.
It's started to get physical
Soviet Union
Awwwww I wanna be there and see the chaos unfold!
Me
Haha, I think Third would like to see it as well.
Soviet Union
Yeah, probably.
Gtg now. Japan's getting mad because I'm not listening to him :P
Me
Okay, 안녕
(Bye)
Soviet Union
до свидания
(Bye)
I quickly put my phone away before Brazil or Argentina accidently smacked it out of my hand. They were wrestling now and a few countries were chanting: "Fight, fight, fight!"
I remained silent at my desk. I had pulled out a book and was reading it when Brazil crashed into my desk.
My desk crashed into my torso, causing immediate pain and preventing me from breathing. Brazil had already gotten up but was still fighting with Argentina.
I was struggling to push my desk off of my torso when China shoved it back. I took a few deep breaths and thanked him.
"No problem." China said, grabbing my arm and pulling me to the left side of the room.
We watched the fight from there.
Brazil was dragging Argentina by the collar of his shirt while Argentina struggled to break free. He eventually did, but Brazil quickly kicked his shin causing him to collapse again.
"You're cheating like always!" Argentina shouted as Brazil dragged him by his legs.
"Am I? You were the one who cheated during the game." Brazil chuckled.
Argentina kicked with all his might until Brazil let go, then quickly got up and punched Brazil in the nose.
We all could hear a crack as Brazil stumbled backwards, clutching his nose with both hands.
Every country in the class froze when we heard it. Brazil was up against the right-side wall, tears were streaming from his eyes and he was whimpering.
"I-I didn't mean to... I... I'm really sorry, Brazil. L-let me take you to the nurse's offi-"
"GET AWAY FROM ME!!" Brazil screamed.
I noticed a lot of blood streaming down. I wasn't the only one. India ran up to the table at the front of the room and grabbed a bunch of tissue. He then raced to Brazil and started cleaning up the blood.
The teacher finally entered and didn't like what she saw.
She said coldly, "Argentina and Brazil will report to the principle's office. The rest of you get in your seats. NOW."
Countries raced back to their seats. Argentina continued to stand still. The teacher turned to him. "What are you waiting for? Go to the principle's office."
Argentina pointed at Brazil, who was murmuring to himself in what I assume was Portuguese.
The teacher turned to him. "India, take Brazil to the nurse's office, then come back here immediately."
India looked up at the teacher. "But he's... I-"
"I said to come back here once Brazil is in the nurse's office. Do I make myself clear?"
India hesitated before nodding. "Yes ma'am..."
He helped Brazil up and then walked out if the classroom. Argentina followed them. The teacher turned to the rest of us in the room.
"I am heavily disappointed in all of you. You could've stopped the fight but you didn't. Some of you were even encouraging it!"
No one said anything as she continued.
"Raise your hand if you were encouraging the fight."
A few countries nervously raised their hands. I however knew that there were more.
The teacher seemed to read my mind. "I know there were more. Raise your hand, NOW. Don't bother lying to me. I was watching you all on the cameras."
The rest of the countries that encouraged the fight raised their hands. The teacher nodded.
"Detention to those whose hands are raised."
The countries groaned. I almost snickered. Serves them right, I thought.
The teacher introduced herself as Mrs. Applebloom. She also told us that she teaches math, and she's excited to start out the new year, excluding what happened just now.
She let us talk to each other but didn't let anyone out if their seats unless they asked.
China leaned over to me. "What are your thoughts on her?"
I glanced at Mrs. Applebloom, she was on her phone facing the door. I turned to China and shrugged. "She seems nice. She's stern when students misbehave. That's what I like about a teacher."
China nodded and told me that he agreed.
China and I chatted until Mrs. Applebloom dismissed us for math.
"Those of you who have me for math this morning line up against the wall, we have assigned seats!" She called as we left.
I walked with China to my locker. During summer break, we had chosen lockers and me and China chose to be right next to each other. I had Mr. Lucas for math, so I'd be going to the third floor.
China sighed.
"Something wrong?" I asked him as I opened my locker.
"Yeah, but we don't have math together." China replied, grabbing his math book.
I closed my locker with my math book in hand and chuckled. "I'll be fine. Long as I don't have America in math I'm all good."
China nodded and smiled at me but I could tell he was nervous. I gave him a reassuring pat in the arm. "I'll meet up with you here, okay?"
We both walked up the staircase and split there. China walked through the second floor hallways while I continued the climb the stairs to the third floor.
When I finally reached the top I jogged to my math class. I got there a minute before class started and breathed a sigh of releif. I entered the classroom and looked around. "Hello North Korea," Mr. Lucas greeted me and then pointed to the back of the room. "You can sit back there. Everyone had free roam to choose where they sat and that's the only seat available."
I nodded and made my way to the back of the classroom. I could feel eyes on me as I walked. And even though I'm used to this, I started getting uncomfortable. I speed-walked the rest of the way and sat down in my desk.
I internally breathed a sigh of relief when everybody turned back around. I recognized one country I'm neutral with, Third Reich.
He turned around slightly and waved at me, grinning. I gave a tiny, awkward wave back. I only waved at China, Russia, and Soviet, so waving at anybody else was...weird...
Reich turned back around. The bell rang and Mr. Lucas got up and started telling the class about what we'd be doing. "We will start learning about ------- now, so pay attention." He said.
I couldn't hear what he said we were learning about, but didn't think any of it. I'd figure it out once he taught it.
Time skip to lunch because Idk how High school workes :")
I grabbed my lunch box from my backpack inside my locker and walked to the cafeteria. It was crowded. Countries were already in their friend groups, and if they weren't then they were walking to their friend groups.
I looked around the lunchroom for China and locked eyes with America. He was sitting with Australia, New Zealand, Poland, South Korea, and Russia.
I quickly broke eye contact and shuffled to an empty table. I didn't even open my lunch box, I just stared at it. Eventually, I pushed it away and just sat there without eating anything.
South Korea P.O.V.
America was telling us about the American Revolution. I had known nothing about it and was honestly curious about how my best friend came to be.
He was just finishing telling us about the battle of Yorktown when Poland excused himself to go to the bathroom. I had turned around to tell him to hurry so he doesn't miss the rest of it when I saw it.
My brother was sitting alone at a table, and he wasn't eating his food.
I was staring at North Korea for a couple of minutes before America snapped and caught my attention.
"Dude, you okay?" He asked.
I nodded and turned back to my brother. I could feel America get angry and annoyed. "Why are you paying attention to him? It's obvious he doesn't care and wants nothing to do with you." America said.
I honestly felt hurt by what America and said. Russia noticed.
He whispered something to America. America relaxed a little but but I could tell it was forced. "Why don't you uh, go talk to him? Maybe get him to eat." America suggested.
He was trying his best to make it seem like he meant what he said, but I've known him long enough to tell he doesn't.
I decided to take his advice, whether he meant it or not. "Okay."
"Удачи, Юг!" Russia called. (Good luck, South!)
I walked over to my brother and set my lunch box down beside his.
"이봐, 어떻게 지내? (Hey North, how's it going?)" I asked him.
He turned away from me. I felt hurt but persisted anyway.
"당신은 중국을 기다리고 있습니까? (Are you waiting for China?)"
North still didn't say anything to me. I was getting annoyed now. It's not like me to get annoyed. I'll try to talk to him one more time.
"무언가가 당신을 귀찮게한다면 말해주세요. 나는 당신을 위해 여기 있습니다. (If something's bothering you, tell me, please. I'm here for you, you know that.)"
When North still wouldn't turn around and talk to me, I grabbed his face and forced him to look at me.
"들어 봐, 난 네가 나에게 이야기 할 때까지 떠나지 않을거야. 대화 하나만하고 싶은데 너무 많이 물어 볼까요?! (Listen, I'm not leaving until you talk to me. I just want one conversation, is that too much to ask?!)"
I had raised my voice during that last sentence, but nobody noticed because the cafeteria was so loud. North Korea was shocked at my sudden change in attitude and voice. I was too, but I just wanted to hear one word from him.
It's been so long since we last talked.
I want to be close again.
I let go of his face and stared into his eye. He seemed to shrink back at my stare, or was that my imagination?
He gulped and stuttered, "무엇에 대해 이야기하고 싶습니까? (Wh-what do you want to talk a-about?)"
I smiled and clapped. That's when I heard a voice behind me.
"韓國,您在這裡做什麼?" (What are you doing here, South Korea?)
I'm not fluent in Chinese, but I know a little bit, but that wasn't helpful in this case. But I did know that China didn't sound happy behind me.
I turned around and saw China standing there. He wasn't glaring at me, but he did have annoyance in his eyes. "North and I were talking." I responded.
"More like you're talking to him. What are you doing over here?"
"I wanted to talk with my brother. I just want to get along again..." I stopped talking and looked at the ground.
China nodded and sat next to North Korea. He started telling him about math class and what happened during it. They both weren't paying any mind that I was there.
I then got an idea. I reached into my lunchbox and pulled out two chocolate pies. North Korea immediately turned towards me and stared at the pies. China looked at them, too.
I giggled. "You want one?"
North Korea crossed his arms and shook his head. But he still stared at one of the pies.
"Suit yourself." I said. I picked one up and took a slow bite from it, making sure I chewed slowly.
I knew North Korea wanted one, he just didn't want to admit it. He was staring at the choclate pie in my hand and then looked down at the one on the table. China was snickering beside him.
I finished the chocolate pie and rubbed my stomach. "Mmm... That was good. I think I'll have another one."
As I reached for the second chocolate pie North tensed up. I was about to grab it when the bell rang.
Leaving the chocolate pie on the table, I got up and joined America and the others in the hall. Before I left the cafeteria, though, I turned around.
As I expected, North Korea was eating the chocolate pie that I had left, and China was laughing at the smudges of chocolate on his face.
I smiled. I knew North Korea was still the same as he was before we serperated. He's only hiding it.
I just need to ease him out of his shell.
Another boring chapter... Oof. I feel like I'm going too quick with this story, but at the same time I feel like it's boring if I have the story progress slowly. I need help...
Welp, chapter 2 is done, and North Korea loves chocolate pies. I had to do a couple of research during certain events in the story, for example, when India got Brazil the sneeze-paper to clean up the blood.
Bet I'll forget which subject Mrs. Applebloom and Mr. Lucas teach. I might even forget their names. I might start the next chapter with South Korea, I don't know. I also want to get other countries involved a lot more often, even if they don't contribute to the story. Idk how I'll do that.
Sorry about my rambling, hope you enjoyed this chapter!
Adios!
