OMG OMG OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would make this it's own thing but I feel like I should stop doing that and just post a bunch of chapters. If I feel I need to say anything I'll do stuff like this or an Authors note.
Now, let's get on with the story. Btw, I forgot what day it's supposed to be so just bear with me here -w-
--------------------------------------
United Nations (UN) POV
Two days.
EU has been missing for two days straight.
On top of that, one of the strongest countries in the world is in the hospital and we don't know if he'll survive. Russia is stressed because he has to run two different countries at the same time, and another country said that they'd declare war if the Soviet people didn't give them what they wanted. I managed to talk them out of it but that doesn't mean they're not still pondering it.
Every country in the world is now helping to look for EU. Russia and his siblings are getting a lot of sympathy, but Russia however isolated himself from most of them; Belarus, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, and Estonia are the only siblings of his who can talk to him.
What about Ukraine? Turns out when they got to school a country told them, "Sorry about your dad." America admitted to telling everyone and Ukraine got angry. He accused Russia of telling America and they got into a huge fight that ended with Russia stomping off.
Meanwhile I'm sitting here on my bed staring at my feet and silently having a panic attack. I heard NATO come inside and sit next to me. "UN, we'll find him I promise. Come on, it's not like you to be late to school."
I looked at him. My eyes were red and puffy from crying myself to sleep and from crying this morning. "Where is he...?" I asked in a voice just above a whisper.
NATO hugged me. "I'm sure he's okay... We'll find him I promise."
I nodded and sighed. NATO managed to get me off my bed and had me get dressed. He left the room for that. I stared at my clothes and finally picked out an outfit.
Time skip
By the time I got to school countries were already heading inside. I sighed and extended my wings. NATO followed me as I flew up to the roof, which is the closest area to my class. I walked inside and into my classroom. The teacher was already there and greeted me when I came in.
"Hello UN, you're here later than usual." She said.
NATO peeked his head inside the classroom. "He's really upset, didn't even want to come to school today."
"If it's about EU we're doing the best we can. I'll try contacting some hospitals at the end of the day, is that okay UN?"
I nodded and sat in my seat. "Bye NATO."
"See ya UN."
I pressed my head onto the desk. I had a feeling something bad will happen among the countries.
Today will be a long day.
North Korea POV
I was sitting on the front steps of the school waiting for China. Countries were already there and a few stared or glanced at me. I was tense and miserable, but I sat still and waited for China. Neither him or Taiwan were at the school so I was starting to get curious.
And a little scared.
I sighed and placed my chin in my hands, my elbows touching my legs. I was bored, uncomfortable, nervous, and scared.
China, just get here already.
Please.
As if he heard me, China and his brother walked into the entrance. I perked up and waved. China waved back. He continued to walk towards me as Taiwan split off to hang with his friends.
Before China got to me I heard voices behind me.
"Look at the loner."
"He's such a mistake."
They laughed and I turned around. Afghanistan and Turkey stood behind me snickering. Afghanistan smirked at me. She bent down and sneered, "How about you go and kill yourself? It would be a blessing to all of us."
She and Turkey then went inside the school as if nothing happened. I turned back around with tears falling from my eye. China had reached me now and quickly wiped the tears away. "What happened?" He asked as he sat down beside me.
"I-I..." I couldn't say anything.
China stood up and pulled me to my feet. He took me inside and to my locker before he hugged me. I clutched his clothes and whimpered as tears fell. I didn't want to make a lot of noise. I feared teachers would come out and ask what's wrong, and then I'd be talking to the principle about the bullying and then UN would get called because it's about us countries and then I'd probably get bullied more and-
You get it.
The tears eventually stopped and I stopped whimpering. China continued to hug me.
"What happened North?" He rubbed my back.
I shook my head. For some reason I didn't want to tell him. If I could, my mouth wouldn't open.
"Is it about Afghanistan and Turkey?"
I stiffened. I nodded slowly and China tightened his grip on me. "Húndàn..." He whispered. (Bastards)
The bell rung. Countries started coming inside not even a second later. China and I pulled apart and we opened our lockers. I was grabbing my first period book when I felt a tap on my shoulder.
I turned around and China did also. Mongolia stood behind us with crossed arms. China moved closer to me.
"Easy now," Mongolia said. "I'm not going to hurt you."
China didn't move.
Mongolia raised a brow. "Is it true you guys are dating? There's a rumor going around that you are."
China and I shared a glance. We turned back to Mongolia and China nodded. "Yes, we are."
Mongolia's eyes widened. "Really? Well, thanks. Just needed to confirm it."
He walked off to his group of friends and whispered something to them. They turned to me and China and then rushed off to tell everyone else I assume.
I sighed. China chuckled and kissed my cheek. "There's no going back now." He said.
I nodded. "Should we start heading to homeroom now?"
"Do you have all of your things?"
I looked at the books in my hand. I had everything.
China and I walked to homeroom and sat in our seats. Australia followed us inside. When we took our seats Australia walked up to me and put a note on my desk. He then walked away and sat in his seat.
Strange.
China saw Australia give me the note. I opened it up and looked at it. I couldn't read it.
"Can you read this?" I asked China.
Australia snickered from his spot in the room. China glared at him and nodded. He read the note aloud: "Come to the bathroom during second to third period switch. I want to talk to you."
China and I shared a confused glance. "Um... can you come with me, China? I have a bad feeling..." I asked him.
"Sure."
Time skip
I was sitting in my second period classroom. The teacher was explaining something, but all I could think about was that note China read. Who wanted to meet up with me, and why? I hope it isn't Panama and his friends, they would probably beat me up again. But China would be there, so maybe they won-
"North Korea."
I flinched and realized I was staring at my desk. I looked up and saw the whole class staring at me. The teacher tapped her foot. "Are you out of wonderland now?" She crossed her arms.
The whole class laughed and I felt my cheeks heat up. I looked down at my desk and slightly nodded.
"Good, now what is the answer?"
"The answer to what?"
The class laughed again. I felt my cheeks growing hotter and I wanted to cry.
The teacher rolled her eyes. "To my question, which I assume you didn't hear?"
I shook my head as the class laughed again. The teacher shook her head and grumbled something. She then called on another student. I sighed and focused on listening to the teacher for the rest of class.
Turns out I didn't need to though because the bell rung a minute later. All the students got up and the teacher walked to her desk. I slowly got up and grabbed my things. I was the last one out of class and walked to my locker.
As I finished pulling out my Social Studies book I felt my phone vibrate. I took it out and checked the message.
It was from China.
Hey Northy, I'll be a little late with getting to the bathroom. Teacher wants to talk.
Great. I'll be alone. Again.
I sighed. I couldn't blame China though, it was the teacher that wanted to talk to him.
It's alright I guess...
Just hurry when they let you go.
Will do.
I put my phone in my pocket and walked to the bathroom. I decided to just wait for China than go in alone. Just as I lean against the wall by the door someone comes out.
Just my luck that it's the person that wanted to talk to me. To my surprise it was Vietnam.
Vietnam turned to me and pulled me inside. He shut the door and walked passed me to the sinks. He leaned against a sink and stared at me.
I fiddled with my fingers. The tension was pretty high. "So...you wanted to talk to me?" I asked.
"Yes." Vietnam scowled. "I wanted to talk to you about your relationship with China."
I raised a brow. I wasn't nervous at all now, more confused. "What about it?"
Vietnam punched the mirror, breaking it. He still faced me as he did it. "Why are you dating him?!" He shouted.
I started wishing China was here now. "Because I love him..." I murmered.
Vietnam took a step towards me. "He's my boyfriend, you can't date him!"
It was my turn to shout. "He's not yours! You broke up years ago!"
"Yes, he is!"
"Why would he want to date YOU?! You cheated on him with Cuba!"
Vietnam froze. He sat still for a couple seconds staring at me. I started getting nervous and it showed.
I'm not so sure I should have said that...
I slowly backed up to the door until he rushed at me. I didn't even have time to turn around before he grabbed and twisted my arm. I let out a wail and fell to my knees. He leaned until he was close to my face. He then whispered, "Brave of you to say that, North Korea. Still, more people prefer me, over you you cặn bã." (Scum)
He let me drop to the floor and clutch my arm in pain. He then grabbed my other arm and raised it over his head, forcing me to get up.
I heard the bathroom door open and Vietnam froze, still holding my arm. A single tear fell down my cheek.
"What the heck?!"
Thankfully it was China. He rushed forward and shoved Vietnam back, who let go of my arm. China pulled me into a hug and glared at Vietnam. "What the heck are you doing?!"
Vietnam was shaking a little bit. "H-hello sweetheart-"
"I am NOT your sweetheart! We broke up years ago! GET OVER IT!"
Vietnam stepped forward. "No! I refuse to believe we broke up! You're mine!"
"You cheated on me! Why would I want to be with you?!"
"I WAS FORCED!"
"NO YOU WEREN'T!!" China took a breath. "I saw your text conversation with Cuba. He asked you out and you agreed."
China's voice shook a little bit and I could tell he was getting emotional. He can never talk about this subject for long, and he hasn't talked to Vietnam since they broke up. This is the first time in years that they've said a word to each other.
Tears started forming in China's eyes. "Cuba asked if you were still dating me, and you confirmed it. You then said I didn't have to know! You willingly cheated on me!"
Vietnam stayed silent for a few moments. He took a step forward. "Please, I'm sorry. I... I-I was going through something and-"
"Really? Tell that to everyone who saw you cheat and aren't your friends anymore. In fact, go and tell Philippines, the one who told and showed me along with North Korea that you were cheating!"
Before Vietnam could say something else China led me out of the bathroom. We didn't get far because there was a crowd outside the bathroom doors. America and Philippines were among others at the front.
When China looked at him Philippines shook his head. "Unfortunately I can remember that day like it was yesterday. You were heartbroken and didn't talk for a week."
China looked away and America spoke up. "Isn't today the date when it happened?"
Canada stepped forward and smacked the back of America's head. "Sorry about that, but shut your mouth America. You know how China gets."
"You alright, mate?" Australia asked China.
China looked up and shrugged. "I'm alright. Bastard twisted North's arm..."
"He WHAT?!" Yelled a voice from the back of the crowd.
Pretty soon everyone was being pushed out of someone's way. South Korea emerged next to America after a while and Philippines had to move to the side a bit to not get pushed. South rushed forward and grabbed and examined my arm that had been twisted. "What the heck is wrong with that country?! I'm gonna give him a piece of my mind..."
South moved to the bathroom doors but I blocked him. I shook my head. South was gonna say something but Monaco said something first.
"Perhaps Vietnam had that freak out on North Korea because he's jealous." She stared at the bathroom doors.
Denmark pushed his way forward. "You mean, he's jealous that North is dating China?"
Monaco nodded. "What else?"
I was starting to get nervous because everyone was surrounding us. South and China noticed. Everyone was talking amongst themselves now, America being the loudest voice.
There was absolutely no way for us to get through the crowd of countries. They were too tight together. Canada eventually pushed through and gently grabbed both of my arms. "I don't know which one he twisted.... Better safe and sorry."
He lead me, China, and South Korea through the crowd. We eventually escaped and they all were still talking in hushed voices. Canada let go of my arms. He turned to China. "You should take him to the nurse. We don't know how bad Vietnam twisted his arm."
"Bad enough for me to wail..." I murmered. China wrapped his arms around me and hugged me. My sour expression softened.
"Aww..." Canada wrapped his fingers together and tilted his head to the side a little while South Korea twitched. He sighed. "Alright, you can be with China without me interfering. But if he tries anything..." He did a knife-slitting throat motion. I heard China gulp and Canada nervously laughed.
China put his hands on my shoulder and we started backing up. "Welp, see ya."
China hoisted my over his shoulder and ran down the hallway. The countries that were in the hall watched us as we ran off. I was bouncing up down as China ran and it made me nauseas.
I covered my mouth and managed to mutter, "Ch-China... slow do-own..."
China slowed down until he stopped running and set me down. I leaned against him to try and not fall over. He held onto me and chuckled.
I regained my balance and we walked down the hallway together. Soon I started to feel pain in my elbow. It gradually grew until I grabbed it and hissed in pain. China and I stopped walking and China looked at my elbow. It was starting to swell.
He wrapped an arm around me so I would have to continue walking with him, which worked because my legs didn't want to move. By the time we got to the nurse's office tears were falling from my eye and I was whimpering.
As soon as the nurse saw us she sighed. "At least it's not as bad as last time."
*Insert elbow sprain treatment*
Btw I'm having him wear a cast
I was sitting in the nurse's office with a cast around my arm. China sat beside me. The nurse didn't want me to leave until she finished talking with the principle. She had asked China about the sprain and if I had fallen on it. When China said I didn't fall on it she went to the principle.
I was shaking from nervousness and leaned on China. "What are they going to do..?"
"Probably check the cameras from the past week." China answered, his voice was monotone.
"Don't you understand what that means when they find out about the others bullying me?" I asked him, my voice and eye frantic.
"The bullying will stop?" China looked at me with confusion in his eyes but still hugged me and started rubbing my back.
I shook my head. "No! It well get worse! You know how they are!"
I resisted crying into his chest but tears still fell.
China tightened his grip a little and kissed my forehead. "Whatever they do I'll be here for you."
"But we only have two classes together..."
China went silent. He continued to rub my back. The nurse eventually came back with an angry look and an angry principle.
Their looks frightened me and I thought they'd yell at me. I hid my face in China's chest and didn't look at them. I felt them stop in front of me.
"North Korea, why didn't you tell me or the nurse about the bullying?" The principle said.
I remained silent. Even I didn't know. The principle sighed. "At least you have a great boyfriend here."
How he knew we were dating was beyond my knowledge. It got my attention though. I turned my head to face him. He seemed to get it.
He pulled out his phone and showed me a photo from Japan's Instagram. It was when China and I were sitting on that bench and kissed. I frowned. Of course Japan would post it.
The principle chuckled. His smile faded into a frown. "I'll take care of the kids who beat you up in the hallway. Now who assaulted you in the bathroom?"
Neither China or I said anything. The principle sighed. "Fine, I'll just ask that group of kids."
He left the office and it was just the nurse with us. She gave me a soft smile. "Don't worry, this will end soon."
But will it?
South Korea POV
The crowd of countries were still there. Vietnam had come out of the bathroom now and everyone but Canada and me are asking him questions. I heard footsteps coming down the hall and turned to them.
It was the principle.
And oh boy did he look mad.
His footsteps got louder the closer he got, and eventually everyone heard him. They all turned and stared. Vietnam attempted to get away but the crowd prevented him.
The principle stood in front of us and crossed his arms. "Alright, I'll get straight to the point. Who was in the bathroom with North Korea and China?"
In no time at all Indonesia grabbed Vietnam's arm and forcefully pulled him forward. He threw Vietnam to the ground and frowned. "I know everyone hates snitches but...he was."
The principle glared at Vietnam, who struggled to get to his feet. By the time he was he was shaking a lot. "Come to my office, Vietnam. We have a lot to talk about."
When Vietnam gulped he added, "Don't worry, you'll have some friends."
We all watched as the principle and Vietnam walked away, Vietnam with his head down the whole time. Everyone turned to Indonesia. He sighed. "Say what you want about me telling the principle, but I think it was for a good reason."
Monaco stepped towards Indonesia. "I agree. North Korea and I may not get along, but I can't stand to see anyone hurt."
There were a few murmers of agreement. Others remained silent. I looked at America and he was staring at the ground. I poked him. "You alright?" I whispered.
He nodded. "Just worried about Russia."
I nodded. Russia hasn't been in the best state since his dad went to the hospital. He's like...broken...in a way. He seems to break down every few hours and have anxiety attacks. Not to mention all the stress with running two different countries with many different enemies and allies.
And whenever a natural disaster happens...oh boy...
I shook my head to clear my thoughts. I sighed. I turned to everyone who were talking amongst themselves again. "Alright, I think it's time we all get to class. Our teachers will be upset if they find us out here and assume we're skipping."
They all nodded in agreement and we split up to go to our classes. The late bell hadn't rung yet so that was good.
Time skip
Ah, lunch time.
The one of time of the day during school hours where you're able to talk to your friends for more than five minutes and then rush to class.
I carried my lunch box to the table America sat at. He was talking to Russia. Russia had his head down on the table and you could see tear stains when he lifted his head to look at America from time to time. I sat down beside America and looked worryingly at Russia.
"I'm worried about him, too."
I looked in front of me to see Poland. He sighed. "I wish we could help but we can't do anything right now. We'll just have to hope the hospital can save him."
"You know you're just making it worse? Just as I got him relaxed he tensed up again because he heard you." America said.
Although he looked annoyed you could see he was worried as well. Poland nodded and took a bite of his food, whatever it was.
"Hey South."
I turned around and saw Belarus standing behind me. Kazakhstan, Estonia, and Armenia sat down at our table; Estonia and Kazakhstan beside Russia and Armenia in front of him. I waved at Belarus.
"How are you?" Belarus asked me.
"I should be asking you that." I replied.
Belarus chuckled. She smiled at me but I knew it was fake. "I'm alright."
"You sure? You have bags under your eyes."
Belarus had dark bags under her eyes. Her eyes were red and she looked stressed. She sighed. "I was with Russia last night. He was crying a lot and freaking out about Тата and his country. I eventually got him to sleep but it was past midnight when I did. I also had homework so..." (Тата=Dad)
She laughed but it was obviously forced. She wiped away a tear that was forming. "I'm gonna sit next to Armenia, if you want to talk I'm right here."
Belarus sat next to Armenia and they started talking almost immediately. I couldn't understand the language so I turned back to Poland only to see him talking to Italy. Japan and Third Reich stood behind him, and Reich looked really nervous.
Poland hesitantly agreed but said he didn't want Reich next to him. Italy sat next to Poland, then Japan, then Reich. Reich turned to me. "Hi South Korea."
"Hello Reich."
"A lot of drama going around, huh?"
I nodded. There sure was. "EU is missing, word got out that North and China are dating, Soviet is in the hospital, and Vietnam and few other countries are in trouble for beating up North."
"Wait, North Korea got beat up?" Third Reich raised a brow.
I nodded. "All I know is Vietnam twisted his arm and it's in a cast now, I don't know who or what the other countries did."
"Er scheint ein hartes Jahr zu haben ..." Third muttered. "Where is he?" (He seems to be having a rough year...)
I pointed to the table China and North Korea sat at. North's left arm was in a cast and China had his arm around him. To my surprise, Indonesia, India, and a few other countries were sitting with them.
Third looked over at them and his eyes widened a bit. "Well that's something I never thought I'd see."
I nodded. "I didn't think I'd see something like that either. I guess after the whole bathroom thing a few countries North trades with and China's friends felt bad and wanted to keep them company. I'm not sure though."
Third nodded and went quiet. He stared at the food in his lunch box and pushed it away. Japan turned to him. "Reich-kun, what's wrong?"
"I'm just not hungry." Third muttered. "I'm fine, Japan."
Japan shook his head and pushed Third's food back to him. "You need to eat. You haven't eaten anything since you heard Soviet was in the hospital."
"I'm fine."
"No, you're not."
"I'm fine, Japan." Third got up to walk away but Japan pulled him back down again. It was then that I got a proper look at Third. I quietly gasped.
He was thin and I could see his ribs slightly. His usually happy face and sparkling eyes had dark circles under them and he looked tired. Third's eyes were like Belarus's, but they were even more red from what I assume was a combination of lack of sleep, stress, anxiety, and crying.
When Reich still refused to eat Japan turned to Italy. "Italy-senpai, Third Reich-kun won't eat.."
Italy stopped his conversation with Poland and looked behind Japan. Third was staring at the table and had pushed his food away once again. Italy and Japan switched spots and Italy started coaxing Third into eating.
I just sat and watched. I couldn't move and just felt all I could do was watch. America was still talking to Russia along with Estonia but he also occasionally glanced at Third and his friends.
Eventually, Third took a slow bite of his food. That was followed by another slow bite, and another. He eventually finished his lunch and Italy smile. "Ottimo lavoro Third Reich." (Good job)
Third started shaking a bit. Tears started falling from his eyes and he started whimpering. Everyone at the table was looking at him now, Russia even lifted his head. Third slammed his head on the table and started sobbing, calling for Soviet.
I guess Reich's calling for USSR set Russia off, because Russia started crying as well.
Everyone at our table was comforting someone: Armenia, Estonia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, America, and Poland comforting Russia, and Japan, Italy, me, and Czechia comforting Third Reich (Czechia had come over to our table because he wanted to ask something but that was when Third started crying). Italy and Japan eventually stood Third up and left with him and Czechia. I looked around and saw the other tables staring at us.
I decided to ignore them and turned back to the rest of the countries that were still at the table. Russia was whimpering now and America was hugging him. Poland turned to me. "It's Third Reich's fault Russia even started crying." He said with a frown.
I sighed. "Poland, I know you don't like Reich, but it was the past. Everyone has moved on and he apologized countless times."
"You weren't the country split in two by Reich and Soviet. Don't tell me to move on, you weren't even there."
Poland and I had moved away from the others so we could talk without them hearing and possibly having Russia cry again.
"I was there in World War 2," I said with frustration. "Imperial Japan had taken over Korea and took my family and I as his prisoners. We were forced to fight for the Japanese. Sure, I wasn't in Europe but I was a prisoner just like you were, I know what I'm talking about."
Poland was silent and I continued. "My family was treated harshly and my brother and I were always afraid to just wake up the next day. After the war ended I was mad at Japan, but I eventually forgave him years later. Look at us now, we're close friends. It's understandable if you don't want to forgive him right at the moment, but it's been years, Poland. Third Reich has changed a lot, but you're still holding grudges on someone who has changed since the event and is different now."
Poland looked down at the table. He sighed. "I'll think about it, but it's not guaranteed I'll forgive him."
I nodded. "I'm not saying you have to, you're just treating him harshly for the wrong reasons. Not that treating anyone harshly for whatever reason is okay, but I'm just saying."
Poland nodded and we joined the others again. Russia had stopped crying but was now asleep. Kazakhstan picked him up and left the lunchroom. He said he was taking him to the nurse's office so he could have his nap. America was chatting with Estonia and Belarus talked with Armenia.
When Poland and I joined them again America waved. "Hey! What were you guys talking about?"
Poland and I shared a glance. "Is it alright if we don't tell you?" Poland asked.
America nodded.
"Quick question though."
America raised a brow at Poland. "What is it?"
"What exactly is your relationship with Third Reich?"
America put his elbow on the table and cupped his head in his hand. "We're close friends now. We hated each other in WW2 but he's changed a lot now. Crazy how you can hate someone so much and you just want them dead, but then become really good friends and allies years later. I guess it goes to show that you can become friends with even your worst enemy if they change and you're willing to give them a second chance."
Poland nodded. "Thanks..."
He sat down in his spot and stared at the table with his head in his hands. He was obviously pondering something. I sat next to America.
"What happened? With Russia?"
America turned to me. "He was a mess. Wouldn't stop even when Estonia did something Soviet always did. I guess it only works when Soviet himself is there. Took a while but we eventually calmed him down, this was when you and Poland got up to talk. He fell asleep as I hugged him."
I nodded. "I feel bad for him and his siblings."
"I do too. But there's nothing we can do at the moment."
Loud shouting from across the lunchroom got our attention. It got everyone's attention. At the table the organisations sat at, UN slammed his head on the table and muttered something. I looked in the direction the shouting came from and I saw China and Taiwan at each other's throats.
I didn't know what they were arguing about but I kept hearing them mention Soviet. Eventually, Taiwan pushed China and China hit the table behind him. He grabbed his side and glared at Taiwan.
What Taiwan said next shocked everybody.
"Why did I come with you?! No wonder Mom and Dad abandoned you!"
