I am aware that my drawing of a ushanka is straight crap.
------------------------------------------------
South Korea POV
I glared at China and he seemed to shrink back at my glare. He even removed his hand from North Korea's waist and started twiddling his fingers and stared at the ground.
"China." My gaze hardened and my tone was cold.
"Hey South Korea... Uhm... How are you..?" China was obviously nervous.
I crossed my arms. "Oh, I was having a good day until I found out you kissed my brother."
China seemed to get annoyed now. "He liked it at least."
North Korea was now blushing and hid his face in China's chest. China went to hug him when I punched the wall. "Don't you touch him..."
China smirked and brought his hands closer to North. "Stop." I took a step forward.
China finally hugged North and his smirk grew wider.
I was gonna run and attack him when I felt powerful arms grab my arms.
Russia POV
I had realized my mistake and had ran from my house and all the way to North Korea's house. It would've taken a while for most, but I'm a fast runner so it only took about two minutes.
When I arrived I prepared to knock the door down but it was already open. South must be in here. I walked inside and South stood in front of me, telling China not to touch North Korea, who was hiding his face in his chest.
China saw me and smirked, and then proceeded to hug North Korea despite his brother's protests. South was about to run and attack China when I grabbed his arms.
"South, please calm down."
South Korea POV
I recognized that Russian accent from anywhere. I turned around and to no one's surprise, Russia stood there. "Let go of me, Russia. This doesn't concern you." I glared at him.
Russia looked surprised at what he thought a change in me. "You need to calm down. Your brother can be with anyone he wants, you can't-"
I pulled free from Russia's grasp and my eyes blazed in rage. "What do you know about this type of thing? He's my little brother, not yours! You're the youngest in your family of course you think this way! Just stay out of this and go back to your communist father so you can blab all your opinions to him!"
Everyone in the house was silent. China and North Korea stared at me in shock. I was still facing Russia and I was filled with rage. I was filled with so much rage that I didn't care what I said had hurt Russia's feelings.
Russia was shaking a little bit and his eyes glistened.
"My father is really sick and in a lot of pain," Russia clenched his fists. "I couldn't talk to him if I tried!"
It was then that I realized what I said, but my rage kept talking for me. "Then tell your siblings! You have like, a hundred, I'm sure one of them wants to listen to all of your crappy opinions! Now leave me BE!"
Another moment of silence. It was during this that I realized everything I said was wrong and my rage was replaced with guilt. "Oh god... I am so sorry Russia-I... I didn't-"
Russia shoved me and ran out of the house. I stumbled but finally fell on the floor. Before Russia ran to...where ever he was going, he turned back and with tears streaming down his cheeks he yelled, "Consider our friendship over!"
With tears of my own, I got up and ran to the door. I looked around and saw Russia sprinting away in the distance. There's no way I'm catching up to him...
My rage returned again but this time it targeted North Korea and China. I turned to them said codly, "This is all your fault."
I walked out of the house and to Japan's house. He'd help me in this time of need. I felt tears stream down my cheeks and I didn't bother to wipe them away. I sniffled and muttered, "I'm truly sorry..."
After a couple minutes of walking, I finally reached Japan's house and knocked on the door. I could barely see anything because of my tears, and I'm positive there are obvious tear stains on my face.
Instead of Japan opening my door, it was America. His face turned to concern when he saw me and pulled me inside. "South Korea! What's wrong?"
America guided me to Japan's couch and I collapsed onto it and started crying. Japan and Italy were in the kitchen and they came out. Everyone sat on the couch around me as I broke down.
Japan rubbed my back. "South-kun, what is wrong? Did something happen between you and North-kun?"
America wiped my tears away and it took a while for me to calm down a bit and reply. "N-no... Not r-really at l-least..."
"What happened?"
I took a few deep shaky breaths and told them what happened. I hesitated when I started to tell them about Russia and I's argument.
"What about Russia?" Italy asked.
"I-I... I told him to tell his c-crappy opinions to his f-father and then..." I took another deep breath. "he told me his father w-was in pain and th-that he couldn't t-talk to him if h-he tried and I told him to t-tell his siblings and-" I broke down crying again.
America and Japan rubbed my back. "Take your time..." America said.
I calmed down a bit after a while. "He said our friendship was o-over..."
I looked at America and to my surprise, he wasn't really mad. He just had one of those 'I'm not mad, just disappointed' faces. He sighed. "I'll talk to Russia. Hopefully we can sort this out before school starts tomorrow."
I nodded and America left the house. Japan went and got me some sushi and Italy got me a blanket and pillow. Japan gave me the sushi and I thanked him and ate it. Italy then placed the pillow down on the couch and wrapped me up in the blanket.
I fell fast asleep on that couch not long afterwards.
America POV
I stood outside Japan's closed door and shook my head. Russia and South Korea are good friends, what could cause them to yell at each other and hurt each other's feelings?
I would be mad at South for yelling at my boyfriend like that, but I could tell he felt guilty and the vibe he gave off when he told us was that of 'I didn't have control.'
I sighed and pulled out my phone. I decided to try and text Russia and see if he'd tell me where he is, even though I already had an idea in my head.
Hey Ruskie. Where are you right now? I want to talk.
Ruskie?
Russia?
Hello?
Alright, if he didn't want to talk then I'll just have to find him. But being his boyfriend I already had an idea of where he might be. He's gone to it before when he was upset.
Underneath the flower tree by Spain's house.
Time skip
I finally arrived to the European neighborhood and started towards the direction of Spain's house. It took a while, but I eventually came to it and saw the flower tree not far from it up on a hill. I walked over to it and heard sniffling from the other side.
I walked around and saw Russia on the ground. His knees were pulled up to his chest and his arms wrapped around them. His head was on his knees and he was sobbing loudly.
"Russia?"
Russia looked up at me. He didn't stop sobbing though. I sat down next to him and comforted him. He seemed to cry louder and eventually sobbed into my shoulder.
I hugged him and said things like: "It's okay." "Everything's alright." And so on.
Russia eventually stopped crying and only whimpered here and there. He sat up and wiped the remaining tears from his eyes.
"Th-thanks, Meri..." Russia murmered.
I nodded. I decided not to tell him that I already talked with South, and instead see his side of the story. It's probably gonna be relatively the same, because South felt guilty and he would never lie about something like this.
"What happened?" I put my hand on his back.
He turned away and murmered something I couldn't hear. "What?"
"Я вступил в спор с Южной Кореей, и он сказал что-то оскорбительное ..." He said a little louder. (I got into an argument with South Korea and he said something offensive...)
"Could you tell me what it was?"
Russia nodded and explained basically the exact same thing South said.
"My dad has an awful headache and he can't even hear us half the time because of it..." Russia said.
I wiped new tears away and asked, "And your siblings?"
Russia went quiet. He stared at the ground and shook his head.
"Russ?"
He looked at me with new tears falling. "I wish I could... I know I can tell them and they'd probably l-listen... but I can't..."
I hugged Russia. "And why is that?"
"Я не знаю..." (I don't know...)
I stopped asking questions and focused on calming Russia down. Whenever Russia gets really upset he forgets how to speak English.
I sat there calming Russia down for five minutes before I heard footsteps behind the tree and two voices.
One of them I was fond of, and the other I didn't like.
North Korea POV
China and I were walking up the hill to the flower tree and murmering things to each other. He wanted to see if Russia was alright and I agreed to come, the three of us were friends after all.
Anyway, you're probably wondering what happened after South left the house.
China and I remained on the couch and continued to stare at my closed door in shock. We were having trouble comprehending what just happened.
Russia running out of the house with tears in his eyes and South saying it was our fault? Confusing.
I was pretty upset about what South said but I knew it also wasn't his fault. Both of his eyes were red, which means that his anger is in control of his actions (His eyes are blue and red in both).
China noticed I was upset. "Something wrong?"
"Just trying to understand what happened." I replied.
China and I sat in silence for a while longer. Eventually, China took a deep breath and got up, he took my hand and brought me to the door. "Get your shoes on, we're gonna check on Russia."
I grabbed some blue sneakers and put them on. I then grabbed my keys and allowed China to take my hand and bring me outside. He pulled me along and in the direction of the European neighborhood.
When we arrived I looked around. China kept pulling me along and my curiosity got the better of me. "Where are we going?" I asked.
"To Spain's house."
"Why would Russia be at Spain's house?"
China chuckled. "He won't really be at Spain's house, he'll be behind a tree on the top of a small hill by Spain's house."
I nodded and continued to follow China.
We eventually came to the tree China talked about. It was pretty big and had pink and purple flowers blooming all over it-the slavic countries would love this.
Wait, isn't Russia slavic?
Anyway, back to where we are now. China and I walked around to the other side of the tree and saw Russia sitting up against the tree with his knees up to his chest and America sat beside him.
America looked up at me and didn't even scowl. I didn't show any emotion towards him, either. There are more important things going on than arguing.
Russia sat in between us. He wasn't crying but there were a lot of tear stains and he was sniffling. He didn't look up at me and China but I'm sure he knew we were there.
China sat down beside Russia and I sat down beside China. We all sat in silence and just listened to the wind as it blew. A few countries came out of their houses but they didn't seem to notice us.
Russia broke the silence by sighing. "Hey North... are you good at climbing trees?"
I nodded. "Yeah, why?"
"Can... you get some flowers from the tree?"
I nodded and stood up. Russia always makes flower crowns to calm himself down when he's upset. America looked up at me with curiosity in his eyes. "You can climb trees?"
"Yup."
"Tell me about it later."
I proceeded to jump up to the nearest branch (which was relatively high) and then climb to the top of the tree. I picked out a couple flowers and carefully went back down, making sure the flowers didn't get damaged in the process. I gave them to Russia and he began to make a flower crown.
"Can you get a lot more..? I want to make one for all of you.." Russia murmered.
I repeated what I did multiple times but grabbed bigger stacks. Russia had made flower crowns for America, China, and me when he finally started to make another one.
"Are you making yours now?" America asked.
China placed my flower crown on my head and my cheeks heated up. Russia sadly smiled and turned to America. "It's actually for my father..."
"Oh..."
We were all silent again and watched as Russia finished the crown. He gazed at it and stood up. "I have to go and give this to Papa... Thanks for being here for me, guys..."
"No problem, it's what friends are for." China said.
Russia nodded and walked away. America turned back to me. "Now, tell me how you started climbing trees."
I shook my head and frowned. "How I started is none of your buisness. Don't you have burgers to eat?"
America frowned as well. "And here I thought I could have a decent conversation with you."
China spoke up before we got into an argument. "How about we go home? America, do you know where South Korea is?"
America's face turned to sympathy. He sighed. "He's at Japan's house, he was bawling when he got there. Probably asleep right now..."
China nodded. "Are you going back over there?"
"Yeah, why?"
"Tell him that I hope he's alright and that Russia is okay now."
America nodded and stood up. "Were you there when South and Rus argued?"
China nodded. "Me and North."
"Ah, so you didn't just bring him here for no reason..."
"What?"
"What were they arguing about?"
China went silent and we shared a glance. America raised a brow. "Something wrong? You seem nervous."
"We gotta go." I grabbed China's hand and pulled him away and back down the sidewalk. We walked away and I felt America staring after us.
"That was close." I murmered.
"I feel like telling America won't be a good idea." China said. "I don't know why."
I nodded and we continued walking.
Time skip because I don't know what to do ._.
The sun was setting now and most countries were returning home. China looked up at the sky and sighed.
I turned to him but didn't question it. China is popular for liking how the sky looks when the sun sets, he's also popular for liking the stars at night.
He looked at me and smiled. "I know a place where we can see the stars perfectly. Wanna see?"
"Sure." I smiled back. I had never seen the stars really well before.
After a couple minutes of walking, the sun had set and the stars were out completely. China held my hand and guided me to a meadow by a forest. I know this meadow, Russia and the slavic countries come here all the time.
Anyway, we sat down in a bare patch where no flowers were and looked up. I was blown away by how bright and beautiful the stars looked. I finally understood why China liked it so much.
China laughed. "Like it?"
I nodded. China then started pointing out constellations like the Big Dipper. He knew quite a lot and I was astonished by how he knew which was which so quickly.
Eventually, it was just silence and we enjoyed our view. It didn't last long because China looked at his phone and gasped.
I turned to him. "Something wrong?"
"I need to get home."
I nodded and we stood up. China grabbed my hand and led me out of the meadow. He brought me to my house and waved me goodbye before leaving. I took out my keys and opened my door.
I was tired, but also was excited to see China the next day.
China POV
Crap crap crap...
It was way past the time that I was supposed to be home. Taiwan is gonna kill me. I speed walked all the way to my house, which isn't far from North's but it felt like hours before I got there.
When I arrived and stepped up to the front door, I pulled out my keys and unlocked it. As soon as I closed the door and locked it, I heard an angry voice behind me.
"Where have you been?"
I turned around and sure enough, an angry Taiwan stood there and cornered me against the door. I rolled my eyes. "With someone, now move."
I tried to step around him but he blocked me. "What 'someone' is this and what were you doing that made you forget to come home on time?"
I scowled at him. "North Korea and we were star-gazing."
Taiwan snorted. "Of course you were hanging out with North Korea and star-gazing. Maybe next time you should check the time before you hang out with him and look at the dumb stars."
"First off, the stars aren't dumb, and second off, I can do what I want! Move and let me into my room!"
Taiwan once again blocked my attempts of stepping around him. "You have those rules for a reason-"
"Rules for what?! Keeping me here like a caged animal? Stripping away all my freedom?! Kicking me out of the house and then the next day act like you're concerned?! Make up your dang mind!"
Taiwan looked as if fire came out of his nonexistent ears. He scowled at me and growled, "Don't make me slap you."
I've been slapped by Taiwan before, and his slaps hurt. Rarely does he ever lay a hand on me, but sometimes I just push him over the edge.
I snorted. "I can stay out as long as I want. You can't tell me what to d-"
SLAP!
I stumbled back (which wasn't very far) and pressed my back against the door. I held my cheek that had been slapped and it was burning. I looked up at Taiwan and felt tears prick the corners of my eyes.
He was glaring at me and didn't seem to regret a thing he did. He pointed upstairs and hissed, "Room. NOW."
'With pleasure' I thought as I sprinted up the stairs. I slammed the door and locked it. I then collapsed onto my bed.
I let the tears fall but I didn't make a sound. And no, I wasn't crying about my home life, I was crying about the pain in my cheek.
I reached to touch it and immediately pulled my hand a way. It stung. I got up and walked to my closet. I reached inside and got out my pajamas. I went into the bathroom and changed my clothes.
I left the bathroom and fell onto my bed again. I turned on the TV and changed to a random show. I pulled up the covers and just stared at the ceiling.
I was thinking about a lot of things, but the stinging in my cheek kept bringing me out of it. I hope it'll be gone in the morning and no mark will be there.
There was one thought that the stinging couldn't bring me out of, though.
And that thought was North Korea.
I just kept thinking about how adorable he is, his personality (at least when you get to know him), and the way he acts when he's nervous.
How lucky I am to be his boyfriend.
And with those thoughts, I was finally able to drift off to sleep.
---------------------------------------
Agh! Finally have this chapter done. The countries go back to school the next day and I already have an idea about what's gonna happen there. I might take a while to get chapters out though, because I haven't really been motivated and I was just lazy.
No, I am not losing interest in the fic, I am really interested in it, more interested than any other story I've worked on. I've just felt lazy and having trouble getting ideas.
But even with all these things going on, I'll try and update as frequently as I can.
I'm thinking about getting America more involved, because for me right now, he's more of a side-character that I just switch to for comforting and his opinion on things but he doesn't do anything.
I ALSO NEED TO UPDATE DURING THE DAY AND NOT AT 10 OR 11 AT NIGHT
