North Korea POV

The sunlight that streamed through my window woke me up. I squinted because it was so bright, but also because I was still tired.

I started to stretch when I found I couldn't. Right, I had asked China to stay with me last night and he held me close to him by the waist.

I blushed and gently moved his hands and got out of bed. He was still sleeping as I stood up.

I felt uncomfortable in what I was wearing. I looked down and noticed that I was still wearing my clothes from yesterday. I had never taken them off.

I opened my closet and went to the pajama section of it. I picked out a loose light green shirt and loose aqua blue pants. I went into the bathroom and changed my clothes. I brushed my teeth and washed my face and then left the bathroom, yawning.

China was sitting on the edge of my bed when I came back. "Good morning." He smiled.

I yawned again. "Good morning..."

"Still tired?" China asked, getting up.

I nodded. "I'm never up this early on weekends."

China chuckled. "I actually get up way earlier than this."

China's phone went off. He checked it and groaned. "It's Taiwan."

He answered it. "Hello?"

Taiwan was yelling through the phone and I could hear him. Either that, or China put it on speaker. "Where the heck are you?!"

China flinched. "Uh, North Korea's house."

"Why didn't you come home last night?!"

"Why are you asking these questions? You've kicked me out of the dang house before."

"I knew where you were going at least! I was worried all night!"

China fell silent. He then scowled. "Worried? You, worried about me? Last I checked you didn't care for me."

I heard Taiwan sigh. His voice shook a little bit when he replied, "I'm pretty sure it's the other way around. Just...just call next time, okay? If you didn't pick up then I would've called the police."

"Alright, fine. 再见." (Bye)

"再见."

China tapped his phone and put it away. He sighed. "First he wants me out of the house and doesn't care where I go, now he's all 'where the heck were you I was so worried!' Make up your dang mind!"

"China..?"

China looked up at me. I was looking at him with a worried expression. "You alright?"

China nodded. "Yeah, just sibling stuff."

I managed a sad chuckle. "I remember when South and I were like that..."

"What?"

"Nothing."

China got up and followed me downstairs and into my kitchen. I opened the fridge. "You hungry?"

China nodded. "Actually, can we get some food from a new Chinese restaurant that opened up in my country? I've been wanting to try the food but I've never had the time."

I smiled and nodded. "Sure, I actually didn't want to cook anything anyways. Is it deliver because...."

China looked at my outfit and chuckled. I noticed a red tint on his face, but it was greater than last night.

"Yes, they do deliver. I like your clothes by the way."

Now it was my turn to blush. I rocked side to side and twiddled with my fingers. "Th-thanks..."

China laughed and got up. "Also, your shoulder is showing."

I felt my face growing hotter as I glanced at my shoulders. Sure enough, my sleeve was down and wasn't covering my shoulder. I tried unsuccessfully to fix it, pulling it up to cover my shoulder but that just made the other sleeve go down and reveal my other shoulder.

I eventually gave up. China had watched the entire time and laughed. "Is it that difficult?"

"닥쳐..." I murmered. (Shut up)

China laughed harder. Two minutes later he was wiping tears from his eyes and giggling now and then.

"끝났 니?" I asked him. (Are you done?)

China nodded and got up. "I'll order the food now. What do you want?"

I shrugged. "Dunno. Pick whatever for me I guess."

"No buckwheat, correct?"

"Correct."

"All right, I'll be right back."

China disappeared through the door to my computer room. I was bored and my house was already clean, so I decided to walk up the stairs and into my office.

News papers covered my desk and I walked over to it. I read the papers and sighed in a mix of annoyance and sadness.

Like always, countries were judging my nuclear program and the fact that I even had nukes, which is unfair because other countries have nukes, why can't I?

Countries judging my culture, my leader, yada yada. I was just looking at accusations other countries have made against mine when I saw an article that I became intrested in.
I'm pretty sure I've read this one before, but I always manage to smile when I read it.

The article talked about the accusations from other countries, but also how Russia, China, Soviet Union and Third Reich defended me. It also talked about how my country isn't as bad as others say it is. It's unique in it's own way.

I looked at another article where Panama's leader threatened to invade my country, and in response my country's leader threatened to nuke Panama. Yes, this isn't the first time he's harrassed me.

Anyway, more threats from Panama's leader and government made my people nervous. Soviet Union's leader asked Panama to stop, but they declined.

Here's a sample of what the news paper said about the matter:

소비에트 연방, 중국 및 러시아 국가의 군인들이 북한 국가로 진군했습니다. 북한군은 그들을 환영하고 그들이 원하는만큼 나라를 점령 할 수있게한다. 소비에트 연방과 러시아는 파나마 국가에 전쟁을 선포하겠다고 위협하고있다. 국가의 동맹국은 반대편에 전쟁을 선포하기로 동의합니다. 제 3 차 세계 대전이 이와 같이 일어날 수 있습니까?

(Soldiers from the countries of Soviet Union, China, and Russia march into the country of North Korea. The North Korean army welcomes them and allows them to occupy the country for as long as they like.
The Soviet Union and Russia threaten to declare war on the country of Panama, who threatens to declare war on them and also North Korea if they did so.
The allies of the countries agree to declare war on the opposite side.
Could World War 3 happen just like this?)

Another sample from a newspaper years afterwards:

마지막으로, 10 년의 경력 끝에 러시아, 중국, 소련의 군대가 북한을 떠났다. "파나마의 위협이 그들에게 침략의 느낌을 주었기 때문에이 나라는 동맹국들에 의해 점령당했습니다." 소비에트 기자는 말한다. 제 3 차 세계 대전이 거의 일어난 것은 파나마의 잘못입니까? 아니면 북한의 잘못인가, 주변 국가들에 대한 조작으로 여러 번 고발 된 적이 있는가?
(Finally, after ten years of occupation, troops from Russia, China, and the Soviet Union leave North Korea.
"The country was being occupied by it's allies because the threats of Panama gave them the feeling of an invasion." A Soviet reporter says.
Is it really Panama's fault that World War 3 almost happened? Or is it the fault of North Korea, which multiple times has been accused of being manipulative to the countries around it?)

I scowled. Manipulative to my friends? I would never do such things!
Panama has always caused trouble. No matter what, and now he's bullying me in school, just great.

I ripped the page out of the news paper and crumbled it up, throwing it away in the trash can. I shakingly sighed and continued to look at the newspapers.

I just keep finding more and more articles about how my country is a threat to the world, and that it should be destroyed. I eventually saw a article that I hadn't seen before. Perhaps it was new.

I picked it up and read it. What I saw made me gasp and drop the paper and back up. I was shaking uncontrollably.
I bumped into something behind me but it wasn't the wall.

"North Korea? Are you okay?"

It was China, thank goodness. I turned around and looked up at him. He had a worried expression.

"I'm okay..." I said.

"You sure? You gasped and backed up, you're shaking a lot, too."

"Yes. I mean, no. I mean..." I sighed. "I don't know anymore!"

China pulled me into a hug and I hugged back. My shaking gradually stopped and we pulled apart. China put his hand under my chin and made me look up at him.

I felt my cheeks grow hot but I didn't look away. Not like I could, anyway. China smiled at me. I felt my heart flutter.

"How about we get out of this office?"

I nodded. China grabbed my hand and took me out of my office. He took me back to my couch and sat me down.

"I ordered the food. It'll be here in a few minutes."

I nodded. My stomach was growling and begging for food, but I resisted the urge to walk into the kitchen and make food because the Chinese food would come soon.

China was calling and talking with different countries on his phone. It didn't sound like friendly everyday conversations though, it sounded like he was settling things with tensions, trades, potential invasions, stuff like that.

Finally, after five minutes, China sat back down on the couch next to me. "Finally, I have all of that settled."

I didn't question who he was talking to. After a few minutes of awkward silence besides the occasional stomach growling coming from my stomach, China asked me what I didn't want.

"So, what did you read that made you gasp, back up, and shake uncontrollably?"

"It's complicated." I responded.

China's face was solemn. "Did someone declare war on you?"

I turned to China. "No, no one did. That's not what it was."

China heaved a sigh of relief and he relaxed a bit. "Alright, well, if you want to you can tell me what it was anytime."

I nodded. "Hey, China?"

"Yes, North Korea?"

I hesitated. "I'm nervous about returning to school. Everyone saw me run out of there..."

China wrapped an arm around my shoulders. "It'll be alright. I'll be by your side anytime I get."

I smiled. "Thanks, China."

"No problem." China lowered his arm so it was wrapped around my waist. I blushed. A lot.

"U-uh... Ch-China..?"

China smirked. "Yes?"

My blush grew greater. "Y-your a-arm..."

"What's wrong with it?"

I didn't know what to do. China had his arm around my waist and knew I was getting freaked over it.

You wanna know something else?

I have a crush on China. I've had a crush on him for a while now.

I actually kinda liked it but I was getting really embarrassed for some reason.

I stopped talking and tried to remove his arm from my waist. Unfortunately, China has a strong grip so that wasn't happening.

China chuckled. "Stop trying to remove my arm, North Korea. I know you have feelings for me and like it."

I froze. How did he know? I could feel my cheeks grow even hotter than before. I sighed.

"H-how did you know?"

"I've been friends with you for the longest time, North. I know when you're hiding feelings. Not all time, but just enough."

I hid my face in his chest as my cheeks grew hotter. China chuckled again. He then rubbed my back until I calmed down from the shock.

China took a deep breath and let it out. "Hey North, can I tell you something?"

"Sure..."

"I love you too."

I froze, again. Was he serious? Was I daydreaming? I looked up at him. "You... You're telling the truth...?"

China nodded. He lifted my chin and brought me closer to his face. My cheeks grew hotter and China was blushing as well.

He pulled me in and we kissed. We both closed our eyes and stayed like that for a while. We pulled apart when we were running out of breath.

The doorbell rang and China went to get it. That was fine with me, because I needed to process what just happened.

We. Just. Kissed. And I think I enjoyed it.

China came back in the room holding the Chinese food. "Do you wanna eat now?" He asked me.

I shyly nodded. I followed China into my dining room and watched as he set the food down and opened it up for the both of us.

I sat in my seat and looked at the food. Noodles. Of course. I should've known. I giggled a little and China looked at me. "What's so funny?"

"I should've known we'd have noodles."

China and I laughed. He pulled out two chop-sticks and handed them to me. I took them and just stared at them while China had already started eating his share.

"You gonna eat?" China asked me.
I nodded and continued to examine the chop-sticks. I attempted to copy the way China held them put dropped them on the table instead.

China laughed. "You don't know how to use chop-sticks?"

I smiled and shook my head. "No."

China stood up and walked over to where I was. He picked up the chop-sticks and showed me how to hold them correctly. He then set them in my hands and I copied what he showed me.

"Cool! Now...how do I eat?" I asked him.

China burst out laughing.

You know the concept. He shows me how to do it and then I copy what he does.

Anyway, we were just finishing eating. I wasn't the best at using chop-sticks but I wasn't the worse.

When we finished we threw our things away. China got a notification from his phone and sighed. "Hey North, I'm gonna stay in your room for a bit. I need to take care of some stuff."

"Alright."

China kissed my cheek and walked up the stairs. I sighed. Nothing to do and I didn't want to watch TV. I didn't want to go outside either.

For some reason I felt like I had to tell someone that China and I...what? Are dating now? I'll have to ask China when he's finished.

I pulled out my phone and texted Soviet.

Hey, Soviet. Are you busy?

Hey, Russia here. My dad isn't feeling well so just text me okay? Any loud noise disturbs him.

Oh, okay. I switched from Soviet to Russia and started texting him.

Conversation

Russia

North Korea

Hey Russia. Is your dad okay?

I think so. He has this really bad headache. You know, the ones only the people of the Soviet Union get?

Ouch... Hope he's okay

Me too. Anyway, what's up?

I took a deep breath. Here we go.

So China is hanging out
with me at my house, right?

Right.

Well... He kissed me...

...Did you like it?

Yeah...

Yes! I knew it! I'm telling everyone!

No no no please! Don't. This is why
I texted you one-on-one Russia...

Oh. I understand. I won't tell
anybody.

But can I tell my dad when
he's a little better?

Sure, if you remember.

Yay!

So are you guys like, a
thing now?

I'm not sure.

Where's China?

He's upstairs in my bedroom
taking care of stuff and tensions
and whatnot.

Okay. How about you
ask him when he's finished
and then tell me afterwards.

I swear, if you're just Japan
in disguise...

What? Haha. Funny.
Japan can't act
perfectly like me

Why? Cause you're a brat?

Yup!

I'm a brat and I'm
proud!

Omg...

You wanna text South
Korea too? He's your
brother and can probably
help more in this situation
than I can.

No.

Don't worry I'll do it for you.

Wait-no! Russia stop!

Almost done.

RUSSIA STOP DON'T TELL HIM

It's sent!

I hate you

Just helping out a friend!

Great. Now South is gonna text me about it. I told Russia to not tell him but did he listen?!

China came down from the stairs. "Done."

"Hey, China? Can I ask you something?"

"Sure, what is it, Northie?"

I blushed at the nickname. China sat down beside me and wrapped an arm around my waist.

"So, are we like...together?" I asked him.

China grinned. "Of course this means we're together."

I smiled. It made me happy hearing that. China hugged me and I snuggled up against him.

South Korea POV

I was relaxing on my couch in my clothes. I had just got back from America's house and wanted to watch a little bit of TV before I got into my PJ's. My phone got a notification from Russia. Strange, he never texts me.

Hey South! So you know
how North Korea and
China are best friends?

China kissed North and
North liked it!

Please tell me you're
joking

Nope! Hold on-North
texted me

I sat there with my blood boiling. If you're wondering, no, I don't like China.

I'm just a little protective of North Korea when it comes to love. I don't know why, I just am.

Russia texted me back.

He just told me that
they're a thing!

Where are they

At North Korea's house.

Why?

No reason...

Wait-South?

South Korea don't do it!

No, leave them be!

No wonder North told
me not to tell you...

South PLLEEEEAAASSSEEE

I ignored Russia's texts and sprinted out of my house. I ran to North Korea's door and kicked it open-despite it being locked.

North Korea and China jumped and looked at me. North nervously waved and China looked at me with confusion.

I examined them and saw China's hand on North's waist.

You dun messed up, boy.
