Breathe. Breathe. Breathe.

Nothing would be achieved if he felt sorry for himself. Nothing. He needed to get back up. He must be there for his family. Not like before. It took every ounce of his energy to get back up. He leaned heavily on the table and slowly inched his way across. The pain was blinding him as entered the lab. Leo looked around. It was filthy. The near racks of bottles were lying around randomly, the contents spilled around everywhere with dried splotches of colour. He narrowly missed stepping on a particular red one which had scorched the floor. It reminded him of Raph. He reached the table and threw aside the heavy books onto the floor. He rummaged around,the crash of equipment echoing sharply in the emptiness. Louder and more frequent and he became more and more desperate to find the medical book. Or medicine. Or anything to heal himself with. His mind was running a hundred times faster than his body. It just wouldn't respond. His frustration amounted to an extent where he was about to throw aside the photograph of his family. He held it in his hand and looked at it carefully.

Before he could pocket it, he heard a slight click and turned around to be faced with a dagger at his throat. He could see a red figure. He reached for his swords but they were not there. In his rush,He had dropped them. Just turning around to look dizzied him and he had to clutch onto the chair to steady himself.

"Who are.."

But his body couldn't take much more and he blacked out.

A girl. As his eyes blinked he saw it was a girl. She had startling pearl grey skin like
looking at the sky after a storm had passed. Her hair was long and went past her shoulders from what he could tell in his position.It was also stark white,not even blonde but paper white. He inhaled sharply and as she turned around her skin tinged into an unnatural red colour and her hair turned a shocking rose red too. But when she came closer he caught a glimpse of her eyes. Her eyes were intoxicating and he had to close his again and relax or else he might get mesmerized by them.

"ARE YOU ALIVE?"

He winced as he looked at her. His head couldn't stop spinning but he wasn't sure if it was his fatigue or the stupidity of the question. She looked at him with strange pink eyes and he nodded unsurely.

"Okay.Okay.That is good.Definetly good."

She was talking to herself for than him. She paced up and down the room before stopping and narrowing her eyes at him.

He tried to get up but found his wrist bound to the bed and his feet too. He noticed the dark blue colour and his breath hitched.

"What are you doing in my home?"

Leo was baffled but finally came up with a reply.

"This isn't your home. It's mine!"

Her face changed to a frown and looked at him questioningly. He sighed. He was glad that the photo was still in his hand. She saw him glance and snatched the photo.

"Hey!Give it."

She ignored him.Still examining the photograph of his family.His family.
With a frustrated yell,the ropes on his hands snapped after a huge pull and it didn't take much effort to pull at the ones around his feet. He tried getting up but his foot tripped.

"I must get my brothers back from the Shredder,"he whispered to himself.He needed to keep on task.

With fast reflexes,the girl caught him and pushed him back onto the bed. Deep ocean blue eyes stared back at him. Her light blue hands now held his tightly. The aquamarine hair fell in front as she leaned forward.

"I believe you."

If Leo could get any more confused than he was already,he would. This girl was full of surprises. She stood suddenly and let the photo float down onto his bed. Grabbing it he tucked it away quickly.

"Don't ask me why or how I trust you but after living in your home...it reveals a lot."

"How did you.."

"...get here?Stumbled upon this place a week ago and it seemed pretty abandoned. Quiet too. Until I heard crashes that is," looking at him pointedly.

She was back to her normal self. Her eyes a kaleidoscope of colours.Her hair now he could see clearly was also tinged many different colours at the ends. Red,blue,pink,green,orange,purple,yellow and some colours he couldn't name himself. She eyed him warily and then turned towards the door.
Without any warning she slammed it shut leaving him alone with his thoughts.

He never even thanked her. His wounds were bandaged and his leg set in a splint. He wondered how long he had been like this. A wave of exhaustion rolled over him. He fell into a dreamless sleep again as his head touched the pillow.

He awoke again and was glad to find that there was no strange people in his room. Strength flooded into his body and he felt almost new again. But as soon as he got up he grabbed onto the post of the bed and limped to the door. He was starving and made his way to the kitchen.

But she was there.

"Why are you still here?"

The time away had hardened him and  she looked at him,changing to a bright green. Her hair was braided this time and she glanced at him with piercing emerald eyes. She slided him over a plate of food which he scarfed down in seconds. He hasn't had food this great in a while.

"WhoareyouWhendidyougethereWho areyourbrothersdidyoulikethefoodwhoistheshredderwhatareyoudoingalone.."

He masked his annoyance. The questions were getting annoying.

"STOP. Three questions."

The rambling stopped.

"Fine.Who are you?

He took in a deep breath.

"I am Leonardo or Leo,whatever is fine. I'm an ninja and I'm on an important mission."

"What mission?"

"I need to find my family who were taken."

There was no need to tell her the details of the plan. She looked at him curiously her eyes now a glittering gold colour.

"Okay.My turn now. Who are you and what are you doing here alone?"

"Hey!That was only two."

"You've already got your answers now  hurry up I don't have time."

"I'm Ariana and that's all you need to know."

Leo huffed and looked away. There must be something this girl wanted. Why was she here?

"If you excuse me I need to go find Shredder and the Kraang."

Her eyes widened. She turned back to a red colour.

"Shredder?I can help you," she said abruptly.

He eyed her suspiciously. Ariana was looking inside her denim jacket and pulled out a piece of paper.

It was a picture of a young girl. He assumed it was some relative for it didn't look like the girl herself. But he felt like he had seen the girl in the photo.

"Shredder tool everything from me.I will do anything to ruin that evil monster."

"No,"Leo told her simply and left the kitchen to his room.
