Some wof headcanons!

I'm bored, and I woke up this morning with a VERY sore throat, so here are some Wings of Fire headcanons!
I may not be the first to come up with some of these, but these are ones that just came to me and I think are interesting.

Headcanon 1: Peril has ADHD
I don't know if Tui confirmed this, but I have ADHD, so I know what people (and probably dragons, more or less) with ADHD think, and Peril thinks like someone with ADHD.

For example, we read the scene in Escaping Peril where Moon runs off, and she explains the Scroll to Peril by using enchanted cheese as an example, and Peril gets distracted by the idea and wanders off, thinking about it, instead of focusing on the problem at hand.
On its own, this doesn't mean that she has ADHD, but this isn't the only reason why I suspect this, and I think it's entirely possible.

Headcanon 2: Tui based/ was inspired to create the Leafwings off of Tolien's Elves
and Headcanon 3: Leafwings have pointy ears

I have no idea if this is the case, it could easily be an accident, but I can see a couple similarities between the two.
They both like trees and nature, the Sapwings have a lot in common with the Elves of Rivendel and the Poisonwings are a lot like the Elves of Murkwood, and they have a rivalry with the Hivewings (Dawarves, anyone?).
Also, the scene at the begining of The Poison Jungle with the Dragon-traps, reminds me of Fanghorn and the barrior protecting the Poisonwing village REALLY makes me think of the (and this was only really talked about in The Fellowship of the Ring book, not the movie) Wall of the Brandywine Bridge.
It also makes sense for the Leafwings to have good ears.
Like I said, I could be completely wrong, but it's a cool idea!

Headcanon 4: The Obsidion Mirror is the Ring of Power
Again, probably not true, but the way Sunny gets tempted by the Mirror really made me think of this as soon as I read it.
Oh, and by the way, Tui has said for years that she loves Lord of the Rings.

Headcanon 5: Seawings and Rainwings aren't the BEST fliers
I doubt I'm the first to come up with this, and I feel like maybe this was even mentioned somewhere in the books, but my theory is that Seawings and Rainwings have wings that are slightly small compaired to taht of the other tribes.
Seawings would use their wings to help with swimming, and Rainwings would actually be good fliers, but they can't go terribly far, and go between hopping, gliding and flying to get around the rainforest.
Rainwings are also probably good at maneuvering around tree and bramble.

Headcanon 6: Seawings aren't affected by stinging seacreatures.

Headcanon 7: Every Rainwing has a unique frill shape!
Nightwings all have unique wing patterns!
Seawings have different glow markings, as do Leafwings (and unique ears, xd), Silkwings, Hivewings, and all of the tribes!
Humans have different finger-print patterns.
Dogs have their own nose markings.
Tigers, zebras, girraffs, leopards, and other animals have their own markings and unique sounds.
So, why not dragons?

Headcanon 8: Tui based Ivy off of the artists in the fandom
There is no way Tui didn't do this.
Ivy likes dragons.
She dreams about seeing them.
She loves drawing them, but has a hard time with the feet, and finds it hard drawing Icewings becasue of their spikes.
THIS WAS SO ON PORPOSE.
Also, I'm currently rereading Dragonslayer, and I still love it.
I know some people hate it just because of the humans, but even though there are human characters I despise (e.i. Cottonmouth and Mushroom), Ivy, Leaf, and Wren are AWESOME.

Headcanon 9: Daffodil, Violet, and Ivy are Nancy, Bess, and George, from Nacy Drew
The three of them just really remind me of them.
They like solving mysteries.
Violet and Daffodil fight like Bess and George, but they're still close.
Violet is a bit of a tomboy, while Daffodil is more girly and a flirt.
Ivy is . . . just straight up Nancy.
Again, could be wrong, but it's fun to think about!

Headcanon 10: Some dragons-probably mostly Skywings, Rainwings, and maybe Icewings- are born with feathers as a birth defect.

Headcanon 11: Whiteout secretly DID care that her parents and her brother were always invited to the palace and she never was.
and Headcanon 12: Whenever she was upset, Whiteout would go into her room and sing out her feelings.

Okay, that's all for now!
Hope you liked these headcanons!

Renx out!
