"We've come so far, my dear

Look how we've grown

And I wanna stay with you until we're grey and old

Just say you won't let go

Just say you won't let go.."

-Say You Won't Let Go, James Arthur.

Rubbing my eyes, I sipped my coffee in our new house. G had used the remainder of our money to buy us a small cabin in the town, which was conveniently just around the corner to our new friend, June. Earlier this morning G and I had managed to land jobs at a local sports activity camp as camp counselors for now. Our work started in less than a week, just after New Years which was one of the various holidays that this town celebrated.

Alarm beeping, G trudges inside, weighed down by three grocery bags on each arm. He drops it all on our kitchen table, groaning.

"G," I laughed, "You didn't have to carry all that by yourself at once, I would've helped you if you just asked."

"No," he huffed, putting on a face of mock-importunateness, "It is my duty to carry everything inside in one trip, and nothing can change that."

"Pfft, whatever." I rolled my eyes, going through the bags, "Oh, awesome! These are decorations for Christmas, huh?"

"Yup," he sighed, catching his breath briefly before continuing, "I've got a real big decoration on the car, but I might need a little help getting it inside," he hinted.

"Oh, I wonder what that could be?" I smiled, following in tow as he trekked through the snow, making his way to the car, before stopping and smiling up at the big fluffy tree. "Oh. My. Gosh." Eyes gleaming, I observed the tree, giggling in my hands, "It's," I ran my hand along the side of the tree, "It's awesome!"

"I know, I know," he smirked, with mock pride, "I have great taste in Christmas trees."

Laughing, I rolled my eyes and gave him a kiss on the cheek, (cheekbone?) "Seriously, though, thanks."

"'M just so happy I'm spending my first Christmas with ya," he returned, giving me a small kiss on my nose.

"There isn't anyone else I'd like to spend it with more than you either, G." This time he, in turn, was the one to blush, yellow spreading across his face quicker than the plague.

"Heh, thanks," he chuckled, scratching his neck, "Well, let's get this puppy inside, eh?"

He began to untie the Christmas tree from the car. I helped him lift up the tree on one side, with him gripping the base of the tree and moving towards our house slowly. We hauled it through the door, and set it down in our living room, before pushing it upright. Wiping my hands off, I watch as G takes out the various colored ornaments and lights. I strolled over to the kitchen to the radio that came with the house and turned into a holiday music channel to set the Christmas mood. Silent Night, my favorite song came on, and I began to let the words flow out of my mouth to the beat softly.

"Silent night, holy night," I hummed spinning around the kitchen absentmindedly. Perking up, I felt two skeletal hands softly place themselves on my waist.

"All is calm, all is bright," his deep voice purred in my ear as we swayed together softly, moving together almost as one being.

Slowly, G twirled me around, dipping me as he'd lean forward closer to me. The rhythm of our bodies that danced slowly with the elegant music filled every note with passion and meaning. He his relaxed gaze moved to my eyes, smiling softly at me. His gaze captured me, pulling me in with every dip and twist that we took together. We danced in a slow, almost trance-like state, melting into each other's eyes. It was almost as if we were in an endless void with just him, me and the music.

We spun around together, the kitchen's tile floor turning into a marble studded ballroom as we danced our hearts out. I wouldn't have asked to spend Christmas any other way, dancing the night away close to the one who was dearest to me. My best friend, enemy and lover, G.

Suddenly locking eyes, we were unable to keep away from each other. G took in a deep breath, pulling me back up into his arms. His lips barely brush mine. Not innocently, like a tease but hot, fiery, passionate and demanding.

"Frisk," he mutters slowly, prolonging each letter as if to savor them.

I grin, my heart beating harder at the sound of his deep voice as I place my hands delicately on either side of his face. The kiss was slow, soft and comforting in ways that words could never be. His thumb caressed my cheek, as I ran my hand down his back slowly, closing what little distance we had in between us with another small kiss on the lips. "I love you so much," he breathed in between kisses.

"I love you too," I whispered, leaning in for one last kiss. Suddenly Silent Night ended, and a loud Christmas song began to blare from the radio, causing G to get startled and let go of me, sending me plummeting towards the ground. Bracing myself I prepared for the impact that never came.

Fluttering open my eyes I realize that G had caught me with his magic and set me down gently. Blindly reaching for the radio's off button, I hit it on the second try, the random song finally turned off.

"So," he snickered, "Should we get started with the tree?" I rolled my eyes and nodded.

"Sure," I got off the floor, dusting myself off a bit. "I'll start to open the Christmas lights," I said beginning to cut into a package.

He nodded and went to do his own thing, hanging up decorations around the house as I got to work on the packages of lights. Why are these things so hard to open? Jeez, I contemplated, prying at the plastic that surrounded the prized Christmas Tree Lights™. With a final effort, the box finally popped open, like an oyster with its pearl, the prize was revealed. Proudly, I began to stride over to where the Christmas tree was sitting to hang the lights up.

"Woah, woah, woah," G slid in front of me, stopping me, "Hold up there, partner, you're breaking a serious Christmas tradition these people have." He gasped jokingly.

"Oh yeah?" I asked, curiously smiling up at him.

"Yeah. I hear its only tradition, that, if you're underneath mistletoe," he pointed up at the ceiling, where, one little red berry was hung, "You've got to kiss the person closest to you."

I looked up at the ceiling to see it had been covered by G with mistletoe . I guess he did all this as I was struggling with the package. I stifled a laugh at the sight of it.

"Well?" G smirked, leaning down. I stood up on my toes, giving him a little kiss on the forehead. "Aw, come on, if I took the time to hang this up, ya got to at least do the real thing," he argued, a faint yellow beginning to show on his cheeks.

Again, I stood on my toes, this time giving him a longer kiss on the lips, this time, the blush deepening on the both of our faces. I giggled and shook my head at all the work he put into plastering the roof in mistletoe.

Unraveling the ball of lights as I walked to the tree, I thought of how I would place the lights on the tree. Since I had never done this before, I decided I would just wing it and hope it looked good. I ran around the tree, leaving a trail of lights behind on it until I ran out of lights. Strutting over to the outlet in the wall proudly, I called G over, so he could see it light up for the first time with me.

Suddenly I was stopped halfway to the outlet, nearly falling over because my two legs had been tangled in Christmas lights the whole time. Had it not been for G, whose magic had saved me, I would've face planted thanks to the Damn Christmas Lights ™. My head swiveled to see G, who was on the floor, cracking up from my blunder.

"Shut up!" I told him, embarrassed. He set me down with his magic, still laughing and ignoring me. I squirmed out of the Christmas lights, tossing it lazily on the tree, and finally plugged it in. I smiled, temporarily forgetting about my latest slipup, it actually looks good, even though I screwed up, it looks good!

"Pff. Hey, n-nice job ya did there, sweetheart," G stuttered, still recovering from his laughs.

"Thank you," I said, proud of my creation.

"Shall we hang the ornaments?"

"Sure." He pulled out a small box full of ornaments of all shapes and sizes, pushing it over to where we were standing. Picking out ornaments carefully and placing them to strategically both fill up the Christmas tree's branches and make it look nice.

It wasn't long before we had reached the bottom of the box, so he pulled out another, slightly smaller box with the words FRAGILE printed across it in red lettering. Opening it carefully, and removing the bubble wrap, he pulled out a golden eight-pronged star, handing it to me carefully. Reaching up towards the top, I stood on my toes, struggling to place the star over the tallest branch. Suddenly the floor was removed from below me, and two strong hands were placed on my waist, lifting me up higher. With satisfaction, I placed the star on the tree, therefore closing the decorating process.

I felt my feet touch the ground again as G looked at the Christmas tree with awe.

"It's beautiful," he told me, "But not as beautiful as you." He pulled me close as I giggled, blushing like we were back in high school all over again, using cheesy lines to make each other blush.

"Thanks, you're pretty good looking yourself," I smugly said, knowing he would make a fuss.

"Pretty good looking?"

"You know I'm joking, handsome," I elbowed him, as he smiled contentedly. "Alright, I think I'm going to go put up some more lights outside. Can you get the ladder please?"

"Sure," he said, using his magic to lift it outside with me. Holding the ladder up for me, he signaled me a thumbs up, telling me that it was ready to go. Pulling on my gloves, I snatch the lights from the counter and head outside to G. "Just," he looked up at the roof uneasily, "be careful, dove."

"I'll be fine," I grinned at his sudden surge of protectiveness towards me, "besides, I've done something like this before. What's the worst that can happen?" I said, slowly making my way up the rungs.

Reaching the top, I start to attach lights to the side of the roof carefully. I grip the snow-covered roof with one hand for support and stretch the other one out to try and hang one last light, leaning my all weight on my left leg.

Suddenly, I lose my grip on the slippery roof and fall off the ladder. Shrieking, I face my certain doom as the ground seems to rise up towards me.

As if on cue, two strong hands catch me with a grunt of effort, before standing me up in the snow. I look up at G, half expecting him to say some snarky comment, like I told you so, or something.

"Here, why don't we go inside for the day. You've done a lot of work," he helped me inside, as I dizzily nodded in agreement. "We can even watch some of those corny Christmas movies we found at the store," he chuckled with me, setting me down on the warm couch next to him before closing the front door with his magic.

Stretching out, I nab the closest movie and put it inside the TV. The TV droned on about the magic of Christmas and something about a jolly guy named Santa as I glanced out the frost-covered window, overcome with a sudden wave of drowsiness.

Nestling my head further into the crook of G's surprisingly comfy arm, I sighed, in a state of total relaxation.

This was the absolute. The end. Whatever you wanted to call it, it was all over. This was our life now, and I loved every aspect of it... Though it was kind of frustrating. There was nothing left to do. No breaches to find, no monsters to fight, liars to catch, and most importantly, we weren't stuck in a creepy dystopian town anymore. I had a boyfriend, a job, and a house to live in.

I was happy, he was happy, and that was all that mattered right now. Even if happiness meant watching cheesy Christmas movies on Christmas eve with your weirdo boyfriend. Glancing up at G I realize that he had already fallen asleep.

Snickering, I thought, Really? We're not even halfway through the movie yet. Sighing, I stretched out, grabbing a nearby blanket, and pulling it over the both of us. Letting my eyes close, I nestled myself against his chest, which strangely worked as a pretty good pillow, considering he was all magic and bones.

Just like a ship arriving at shore, our journey had reached its long-awaited end. We were in a better place now, with new people, new friends to meet, and new holidays to take part in. Everything was done now, we had conquered our fears, left the prison we once called home, fought King Asgore, and finally came here. There was nothing to worry about. Everything was done. Everything is calm. These words seemed to echo in my head, each one trying to outlast longer than the other.

And with that, I was out like a candle.

A/N: I can't believe its already over! It's been quite the journey. This was my first fanfic, but it definitely won't be the last :D I really loved writing this, and I hope you guys enjoyed <3

Goodbye for now,
